Signal boost — Short Story contest
I'm a judge in The Friends of the Merril Short Story Contest. There's a small fee to enter, but all proceeds go the Merril Collection, North America's largest public assemblage of speculative fiction.

TTA Press Advent Calendar
It's that time of year again, the annual TTA Press Advent Calendar. Peter Tennant dreamed this up last year, and it was a lot of fun. If you're hankering for a Christmas story, you can read my contribution here:

Toys for Tots – Horror Style
Writer/editor Joe Pulver is coordinating a massive effort to get toys into kids hands this holiday season. One lucky soul will win a complete library of horror books and magazines. I've donated a copy of Shadows & Tall Trees. If you want a chance to win this fabulous prize all you have to do is donate a toy. You can find out all the details here:

Clarification
It's been pointed out to me, rightly, that by letting people submit work outside the submission window that it looks like I'm charging fees to allow submissions. That wasn't my intent, in the least. It was simply a "thank you" to those writers (who, sadly, make up much of the readership) who have supported the magazine. So, I've removed that stipulation from the guidelines. I'm still only open for submissions for 2 months. I apologise if it appeared it was a cash grab. It wasn't. If all I wanted was to make cash from this venture, there'd be easier ways to do so.

Submission window
When I open the 2-month unsolicited submission window for Shadows & Tall Trees in January, it's looking increasingly like those submissions will have to be considered for issue 4, as issue 3 is filling in quite nicely with fiction thus far from Nina Allan, Ray Cluley, and Don Tumasonis.
