PIECES OF JOY
Thank you so much for your enthusiasm around our Pieces of Joy collection! We have a few quick updates to share. The stamp set did sell out, however, we will be opening up a preorder with those stamps sets being delivered prior to documenting in April. We will be sharing those dates and details as soon as possible. The folios are currently sold out as well. We have reordered them and we are investigating final delivery dates. However those will likely be available closer to summer. As always, digitals for the collection will be available the first Friday of March, the 1st. Shop the collection now here.

We are sharing this as a way for you to plan, think about what you might want to participate in this year, and simply share some of the things we have coming up to help support + inspire storytelling. For the last few years we've followed a fairly similar cadence for our releases and our major projects will follow that release schedule again this year. Please note that, as you might imagine, this schedule is subject to change throughout the year based on a variety of variables. Find the post here.
ONE LITTLE WORD® 2024
Did you pick a word for the year in December or January and forget it already? We can help with that! In our #onelittleword community we make our words visible in our lives via simple monthly creative prompts centered around reflective writing, photography, and other creative avenues (with lots of encouragement to make it your own based on the season you are in in your own life). Some people work in journals, some in albums, and some just come to listen to the conversations and apply the prompts to their lives in their own way. We have monthly zoom calls where we share our individual journeys and reactions to the prompts and cheer each other on as we take action to connect with our words in our own lives. Project Life® 2024 | Week 06
Welcome back to my
Project Life® series for 2024!
Let's dive right in to the video:
Here's a look at the spread with my
Savor Story Kit inserts:
In one of my
Savor projects I used one of our 2 inch x 2 inch pocket page protectors. On the back side I added in "little bits of life" from the week (and recently) - things that came in the mail, packaging, etc. It's fun to add some of that kind of stuff into this project and be able to look back on it in the future.
Added a square from a Walgreens prescription bag to that last pocket this morning.
Here's what it looks like without any inserts (I have one more insert for Anna's 15th birthday that you'll see at the bottom):
The repeated journaling cards this week are from the new
Punctuation Scrapbook Kit. On this side of the spread I stapled a flower seed receipt and a speech bubble on the bottom.
The "one, two, three" card is from the Start Story Kit. I wrote a few details each week day during this past week. I also used one of the speech bubbles from the February Stories By The Month kit to document what we've been watching.
On the second page of the spread I inserted three photos during the week and then wrote pieces of the stories on the journal cards using a variety of pens.
For Anna's birthday story I added a
6 inch x 12 inch insert (similar):
I used a 6 inch x 12 inch insert with 3, 4 inch x 6 inch pockets. From my stash of numbers I found a wood one + five and paired that with one of the exclamation points from the
Punctuation Kit.
The wood numbers (at least the 5) were from the Week In The Life 2023 Main Kit. The Daily Quarterly Scrapbook Kit had some similar numbers as well if you like this look. I stapled them into the pocket.
I cut the 4 inch x 6 inch cards from a pattern paper in the Punctation Scrapbook Kit and printed photos that were 3.5 inches x 3 inches tall and rounded the corners.
For journaling I printed out my text on printable vellum and slipped that behind the number embellishments on the other side.

Project Life® 2024 | Week 05
Welcome back to my
Project Life® series for 2024!
For Week 05 I decided to play around with a words + photos only spread. I've been having fun mixing things up so far this year (last week was mostly handwritten journaling + bigger words) and giving myself a design focus some weeks or some other lens through which to tell the story of my week.
One of the things I noticed as I was documenting this past week (remember one of my goals is to work on this during the week vs. leaving it to do all at once after the week is over) was that the morning was often an easy time for me to capture a story - especially on the weekdays. In some ways it turned into a week of mornings and I love it. Is there a specific lens you could use in your project this week? It might be a storytelling lens (such as mornings) or a design lens (such as photos with words on top or using a specific style of embellishment like speech bubbles) or a color lens or a kit lens, etc.

This week I included one 6 inch x 8 inch insert to hold a card from the February Stories By The Month™ Kit and three additional photos.
I used the font Secretary Typewriter to add some words to each one of my photos before printing them out using an Epson PictureMate PM400. On photos where it was too hard to read either white or black text I added a white box behind the text.
Really love seeing these slices of life from last week all together in this way.

Project Life® 2024 | Week 04
Mixing things up this week in my 2024 Project Life® album by focusing on handwritten journaling.
I loved doing a lot of micro storytelling this week using paint pens + brush pens on journal cards and vellum. At first I thought I'd do a whole week without photos but decided to add in a couple 3 inch x 4 inch photos and 2, 6 inch x 12 inch photo inserts. Focusing on handwritten stories was such a fun way to switch things up this past week and was right in alignment with how I want to approach this project this year which is more storytelling in the moment vs. waiting for the end of the week to document.
I'd also like to send out some encouragement today to add your own handwriting to this (or any) of your memory keeping projects. You don't have to do it all the time but the more you do it the more comfortable you might find yourself with your own writing (especially if you are approaching it from a playful + experimental perspective). Play around with combining upper + lower case letters or doing all uppercase. Adding in some different weights of pens can add contract and make it more visually fun. And if you say "nope, not for me" then that's totally okay too!

This week's spread uses paper and vellum cards from the January 2024 Stories By The Month™.
On the "currently" card I used a brush pen. On the vellum cards I'm using POSCA Paint Pens and Slick Writer pens.
The bottom card is from Colleen Attara who creates awesome salvaged words + other lovely things.
I used my Espon XP15000 Printer for two, 6 inch x 12 inch enlargements. I used my iPad + Procreate + an Apple Pencil to write my journaling and then transferred it to the image in Photoshop before printing. You could also write directly onto your photo.
It's so fun to see a spread full of words!
One of the photos is a picture of a painted words I did on an art journal page last week. Even taking a photo of text was fun! There are so many different ways to get your own writing into this project (and into the pockets).
Along the outside edge I added an Avery Index Tab and stamped the date on the paper inside.

START STORY KIT + FEBRUARY STORIES BY THE MONTH KIT
Last week we revealed a new Story Kit™ theme: START! We all start somewhere and we all start at some time. Stories of starting, starting + stopping, starting and then beginning again are present during most chapters of our lives. Sometimes it's an easy start and sometimes it's a phenomenal feat that we even make it to the starting line. This month we are diving into stories of starting: from the beginning, from the middle, and those times when we find ourselves starting all over again. 2024 PROJECTS + PRODUCTS SCHEDULE IS HERE
As we continuing easing into 2024 we put together an overview of our schedule of projects + product releases for the upcoming year. We are sharing this as a way for you to plan, think about what you might want to participate in this year, and simply share some of the things we have coming up to help support + inspire storytelling. For the last few years we've followed a fairly similar cadence for our releases and our major projects will follow that release schedule again this year. DECEMBER DAILY® PRODUCT PLAY | TRY THIS. December Daily® Product Play is all about ideas and inspiration for working with physical products from the December Daily® Collection. For 30 days in November, you'll receive one idea per day from the contributors to this class (includes Ali). Ideas in this workshop will focus on physical products from our 2023 December Daily® collection. Whether you are preparing to document 2023 or finishing up telling stories from past years, we hope these fun, creative ideas help you use your products to get your stories told.
2023 DECEMBER DAILY® HYBRID PRODUCT PLAY. Hybrid scrapbooking combines digital products with physical supplies to create paper (or printed) memory-keeping projects. For this class, our contributors will share with fun, creative ideas and inspiration for working with these digital products from the 2023 December Daily® Collection.
