If You Want Uplifting Stories Go Elsewhere
"Dear," said my lovely husband, "could you maybe write something inspiring next time. Something with a good ending, instead of these horrific endings?"
I looked at him as if he just disembarked a space ship new to our world.
"Like what?" I asked. "Which story would you suggest? We have been together for seven years. Mention a few people you would like me to use as heroes and end a story happy ever after."
When we go down the list which will not be mentioned here, then add on top of it all...

Better Headlines Means Audience
You may write a wonderful blog or an intriguing piece but at the end, if your title is weak no one will click on it to see the amazing author you have become.
Newspaper, magazines and other publications of old did not spend thousands hiring title editors out of stupidity or to be cute. Without that first snag you get, no one will be there to read your piece.
If you spend a few minutes coming up with a title that is not wasted effort, consider it time well spent. The minutes spent there is...

Romance Never Dies Away
When you think, at least when I think of Jack Black, I do not think romantic, adorable or cute. I think gross, silly and funny but lovable. But in this movie Jack Black is not only debonaire but charming and wonderful in a most romantic aspect I have ever seen him in since he started doing movies. The man is talented beyond belief, he can sing and he can play the piano and now I know that he can be handsome and romantic. Will wonders never cease.
It does not hurt...

Tumble Fun In Bed
Dear Baba Rumcake,
My husband and I have been trying for 7 months and I'm
so frustrated. It seems EVERYONE is pregnant or has
delivered their infants already, while we are still
trying and absolutely nothing is happening.
We're both so disappointed and don't know what to do.
Desperate Wanting to be Mommy
Dear DWTBM,
Jump his bones! That is all there is to this. You are going about this the back ass way. Instead of just having fun you are making this a chore. I am not belittling your efforts or...
Internet Language Wins the Day
Our new language
The internet as everything else in our lives has dictated the language we use when communicating. In days of old, there was a clear definitive idea of how things should be said and how to write tools. Grammar, spelling, editing and the like. All this still exists and much needed for communion amongst the masses.
But let's examine some of the new language tools that have become part of our every day speak, so to speak:
Let me google this and I will let you know. (Verb?)
Do...

Does God Pervert Justice?
Does God pervert justice or does the Almighty pervert what is right? Proverbs 28:5 Is it not amazing that we find ourselves constantly in the dilemma of passing judgment on God's will? The interference we commit evaluating a situation then deciding that it should never happen is arrogance of the highest order.
Mercy tempered with grace and charity will always win over judgment and blame. We have not understood the mind of God when we pass edicts blaming Him for allowing situations beyond our ...

Never Attack Your Readers
"It was the very next day, he was so suppose to download the emergency copy…."
This sentence written to a reviewer by an irate author, shows the extent of her misguided intentions when she wrote again, "there is nothing wrong with my writing". There is something wrong with every writing. No one but no has come to the point of being perfect in writing.
Humble acceptance of this would have been much more classy on oh so many levels. When this author was told by the reviewer that her book had...
Write to Taste Life Twice
We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.
Anais Nin
When you put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard, writing the memory of a beautiful time or occasion, the rush of feeling and excitement washes over the senses. When I write of memories, I find myself awash in the smells and the feelings on my skin of the time.
Many a time I stay within the happy zones of memory to make sure that these sensations are not unpleasant or unhappy. But, even then with those memories there is an ...
