Mysteries of Udolpho by Anne Radcliffe

I read this book in its entirety. Yes, I managed to finish the epic written before women knew where they stood in life. Instead of giving you my own review, I will share a review with you from one of the funniest writers I know. Not only is she a delight but a snarky funny one at that who writes eloquently. I share with you the review by Sherri on Goodreads.

Enjoy her writing as much as the people who know her do. :)

*** for the book. I could not stand more than that. Glad it is over though!

If You Want To Be Loved No Matter What, review

41CTVK8CVSL SL500 AA300

Oldie but Goodie!

For the ladies who love a good light hearted love story, I offer an evening with John Cusak, the boy next door. In this lovely romance this wonderful young man falls in love with the geek of the year. She is lovely but very studious. He makes her laugh and that is why she went out with him and eventually fell in love.

To answer her father when he asked him what will you do with your life, he responds, "I will do what I am good at. I will be with your daughter. I am good at b...

Should Feed Fat Partner Fatty Food?

Dear Baba Rumcake,

If your bf/gf liked to eat lots of fatty foods and was already a little overweight, would you feed them more of it?

Wondering Partner

Dear Wondering Partner,

Why don't you leave the eating habits of your partner to them. There is no need for this push to make things for your partner if they like to eat crap. If they do, let them make it themselves. What is the need for pushing? We say for people to avoid pushing drugs now you want to push bad food?
Stay the hell out of it. Let t...

Should Parents Make Siblings Donors

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi PicoultOur freedom of choice, our freedom to our bodies, the need to be in control of our own physical well being comes crashing down around the ears of these parents in this wonderfully written book by Jodi Picoult, My Sister's Keeper.

It is a great shame that the producer and director of the movie felt it necessary to change the amazing ending that Picoult set in her book. If you have watched the movie first, please read the book and disregard the trite ending of Hollywood and the muck they made...

Write From Your Heart

MG 2060

"No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader." Robert Frost

I have written before about the need for passion and a desire to be heard. Writing is an act of discovery of words and desires of expression. Nothing happens if you do not cry when you want your reader to cry. If you are moved by your own writing, in all probability your reader will be moved. If nothing of the passion you describe affects you yourself, chances are the same...
