Got some kinks to smooth out, but here's a start for the clips that will accompany my pen reviews.

Sunday Funday

Comic

Indeed, the sink repairs are almost done. Today was fixing the dining room and kitchen ceilings. Then off to a birthday party at a bouncy place. Sounds fun and dangerous.

Video Reviews

Comic

The ever brilliant Mike Witmer (Pinkerton Park) suggested I include some vids in my pen reviews. And I think I'll do it, and not just because Mike implanted a control chip in my frontal lobe three years ago (it was a cheap homemade chip, so I do have little bouts of free will now and again).

They will be short vids. Mostly demos of the pens at work. Short and Simple. Should be fun.

Pen Review – Pilot Petit 3

Comic

Pilot Petit3 Mini Brush Pen - Clear Green Body - PILOT SP-15KK-CG

First off, a big thank you to Brad and the gang at jetpens.com. I received quite the bag of goodies from them last week. And now I shall review each little goody.

I have to start with the new Pilot Petit 3. I own two of the fountain pens and adore them. They are workhorses, never failing to mark a page and are exceptionally portable.

Now, when I heard they were coming out with a brush pen, I was convinced the good people at Pilot approved of my sacrifices to the brush pen gods. I go through a ton of brush pens. The brunt of my brush work is done by a Pentel, but I have a stash of the flexi nib felt brushes on hand. They are all Pilots. So it was no surprise that the tip on this one is similar, if not the same as many of their other brush pens. That's a good thing, for me.

The Pilot felt tip brushes tend to be firm, which gives you a lot of control over the line. So if you already love the Pilot brush pens you'll enjoy this pen. Even more so because you can refill it. I haven't tested it with different inks yet, but that'll happen as soon as the cartridge empties.

Another plus is that they fixed the one grudge I had against the Petit 1. Now, when you post the cap, it clicks into place. I'm such a picky pen nerd huh?
