WoCC says: Wow! That is simply amazing.
I swear, sometimes I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW AMAZING COSPLAYERS CAN BE.

I've been reading your issues since the 90s birds of prey run, and let me just say that you have become a symbol to a lot of us DC comic fans as the writer who actually wants our favorite character like Steph, Cass, etc. back Thank you.
I really appreciate that. I wish I’d been more successful at it.
After a LOT of effort, I have a couple characters I love coming back soon. Neither is Steph or Cass, I’m sorry to say.
But I did try my best.

A closer look at my first attempt at drawing a larger person.
Character: Misfit ( Charlotte Gage-Radcliffe )
Created By: Gail “Sexy” Simone ( “sexy” will remain until she tells me otherwise)
Owned by: DC Comics
No one thinks I’m sexy except strange people at Wal-mart, but thanks, and this sketch is ADORABLE.
In the Light of the Sun At the End of the World: Knightfall is NOT Stephie.
I have just now become aware that a few people are floating this theory. I know the smart move is to just act all mysterious and tell people to keep reading.
But no, she is not Stephie. They are two blonde girls with bad things in their background, other…
Guys, respectfully…it’s a color scheme. The characters look nothing alike side by side.
Truthfully, much as I love Steph, I’m not a fan of the Spoiler costume.
Knightfall was designed by Brett Booth to thematically link with another bat-verse character ENTIRELY. And I think it’s actually pretty obvious who.
It definitely isn’t Steph, whose outfit is softer and less intricate as Spoiler.
I got a very Azrael feel from her.
Bingo.
Huh. I’m not able to follow any DC books at the moment, so all I’ve learned about this kerfuffle is through Gail Simone’s tumblr action, but I’m of the same mind as TeamBearTrap. The moment I even heard the name ‘Knightfall’, I immediately thought of Azrael and wondered what all the confusion was about. Seeing the concept sketch a few posts later only solidified it.
… I’m unsure if this bit of information should make me feel old or not. Yeesh, this takes me back to high school… hell, this takes me back to middle school.
I think that is a big part of it, I imagine a lot of these nice folks may not have been through the entire Knightfall story. But there’s a reason why she has that name, and why she looks the way she does.
;)
Anyway, good night, everyone, thanks for staying civil, sorry if we disagree on some stuff, but I think it will be a positive thing in the end. I’ll try to make some fixes before she appears next.
NIGHT!

Storm...

Storm costume concept for Uncanny X-Force by Oliver Coipel
Still not sure what could possibly get Storm rolling with the X-Force crew, but peep all that style though.
Don’t need to be married to a king to be a queen
Okay, I don’t want to be a jerk here, but I have loathed many Storm costumes. I feel like she is bigger than they often draw her, and far more elegant.
This is a BEAUTIFUL design. I hope they go with this!
Wait... what?: Knightfall is NOT Stephie.
You know, when you say something like this, and it’s not true, and I never said it…how does that help anyone? Seriously. What benefit do you get out of it?
I never said that, I never thought it. But I did get a lot of stuff when we…
It can be frustrating to state a contrary opinion in the face of a sudden internet flurry. But anyone who knows me knows I have been the same way about that for way longer than I have been a pro. I just don’t agree with stuff to get along.
That said, I’ve listened to what the people on this thread said…I still see very little similarity once the costume is on, a little more with the mask off. And because I was there and created the character, I get to dismiss the slightly more conspiratorial stuff right out of hand, because it’s simply not true.
But I don’t want something there that’s distracting or hurtful to Steph fans…I think this is fixable. Different hair, different color cloak…should be a significant move away from any reminder for Steph fans, and I thank the posters for putting that thought in my brain pan.
;)
Apologies For All The Repost Things Tonight
Long conversation is long.
Hope everyone has a lovely night, I have to get back to work!

Clearly, the Green Lantern apron is a must when making Jell-O shots. (Taken with Instagram)
This makes me laugh my head off, for some reason.
Wait…are the Jello-shots Lantern themed?
(I’ve never had a Jello-shot!).
APE IN A CAPE: Knightfall is NOT Stephie.
I have just now become aware that a few people are floating this theory. I know the smart move is to just act all mysterious and tell people to keep reading.
But no, she is not Stephie. They are two blonde…
Holy crap, you’re right about the surname. I dunno why I thought it was Brown. I guess I saw the photoshopped image and thought I saw it in the comic.
But yeah if you look at page 9 (not counting ads), 4th panel. It’s kind of clear to me her eyes are green. Later on they take maybe a slightly bluish tint? But they seemed green to me.
And sorry, I missed what you said about the cape. I’ll be honest, I preferred the yellow to the purple although it’s awesome that it’s a throwback to Yvonne Craig. God I loved her as Batgirl :P. But just aesthetically, I prefer her in the yellow.
I go back and forth, I liked the splash of color, it really made her look different from the rest of the bat-clan.
But in medium and long shots, it definitely muddied her profile.
I get sentimental about the weirdest things, I have a hard time letting go.
Nightwing 77, where the "I love you... jerk" scene is depiected, is credited to Devin Grayson with art by Zercher and Delperdang.
Sigh. I loved those two on that book in the beginning, then they really got dragged through some crossover nonsense and it spoiled the momentum.
Is Patrick Zircher still doing comics? This is a really nice page!
