Kind of similar to when Diana strangled Maxwell Lord?

I……………………….should probably just shut up at this moment.

But that story was so well-written, it almost worked for me, but I just never felt that killing him was Diana’s only option. She has superspeed. It didn’t feel Diana-like.

The writers were talented, they made a good story, but…that one moment never felt right to me.

Sorry.

the reason it bothers me is that ive spent the last ten years of my life in the independent music scene. specifically of the hardcore/punk/metal variety. when authors that dont have the same context as me create a "punk" character and write it in like "oh

Ah, okay, that’s interesting.

Yeah, it’s true, comics (and all media) routinely get culture wrong and it’s frustrating.

It’s a weird thing…most comics are written by ostensible liberals, but you will OFTEN see youth movements portrayed through what seems to me to be a very conservative filter. Like, it always seems, “oh, those wacky kids!”

It’s odd.

And I can’t remember the last time I saw actual punk culture portrayed well in a mainstream comic. Huh.

Anyone got an example?

Question Of The Day: Reddit

Okay, I am just about as uninformed about this topic as it’s possible to be. I’m not sure I’ve ever even looked at Reddit, let alone explored it.

So I have a few questions…if you use it, what is it you like about it? What do you dislike?

What do you think about the current controversies there regarding free speech vs. racist, homophobic, or otherwise hateful subforums?

I am looking to be informed, I don’t know enough detail to have an opinion worth two beans at this point. So I’d really appreciate hearing from people who know more about it.

STILL MAKES ME LAUGH. This is Paul Cornell’s favorite S6 scene, side note!

I’d like to know what the heck he’s trying to say…

I think it’s

I’LL KILL YOU

HATE YOU

KILL YOU DEAD

You have to cut him some slack…he’s a shark.

Okay, we might have to have warnings about awesome things that unexpectedly break my heart.

Script/plot/idea planning has begun on the Secret Six Fan Film project!

geekeryandhockey:

If you are interested in being involved (especially in the writing/planning stages) please message me here and let me know.

Also note that we have absolutely NO budget at this time (and might not ever really have one) so if you’re looking to get involved in a project like this to make money, this probably is not the project for you.

I've always wanted to know - to be a writer for comic books, do you have to be a good artist? Or is being a good writer considered enough?

I think it’s a huge help if you can draw. Many of the best writers in the industry can draw very well, many are writer/artists where they are at a level where they can draw a book convincingly themselves.

But I can barely do stick figures—I am horrible. There are a few of us out there. It’s not a NECESSITY to be able to draw, but I think it’s a huge help.
