Dear Gail. The next time you're ever in Denver for the weekend, I'd like to extend you an open invite to visit the UU church, First Universalist, on a Sunday. They have wonderful non-denominational sermons, are a welcoming congregation, and are very active

I appreciate it, but I am an atheist and while I have attended many services of different denominations as a guest, I have to say the experience is not really for me. I find it absolutely lovely that people find joy in their faith and the fellowship of it, but it is not for me.

Thank you, though!

Doing a reread on your run of Wonder Woman and noticed some words I remembered from Birds of Prey -- "Keep faith. Trust to love. Fight with honor. But fight to win." Is this a personal motto for you? Because I think I've adopted it as mine.

Not my motto, it was my idea of Diana’s motto, though.

Probably my favorite words I’ve ever written. A bunch of people have written me over the years saying that it became their credo, people have tattooed it and used it for good in their own lives. Some amazing stories.

So it belongs to everyone now. :)

Hey, Gail! I just want to say that I love your work on Red Sonja. I've never been interested in the character before, but I thought I'd give your run a chance and I absolutely adore it! Sonja is now one of my favorite characters and it's only been two issu

Thank you so much! I love writing Sonja, I had NO IDEA it would be so fun.

She’s already in my heart in the way that, say, Black Canary, Huntress, and Scandal are, characters I could just write forever and be happy.

And man alive, wait til you see what’s coming with Dark Annisia! YAHOO, it’s good stuff!

Hey Gail! Love your work! My wife is a lesbian, and has a thing for comics, but she can't ever seem to find anything that really grabs her interest. What would you recommend for her? Everything we've picked up so far just hasn't cut it and there is so much

I don’t know that ‘my wife is a lesbian’ is enough of an indicator of her taste, sc. I’m glad she has a thing for comics but you haven’t told me what she likes in other media, or what she’s tried that didn’t work.

On this scant information, she might enjoy YOUNG AVENGERS, or LOVE AND ROCKETS or STRANGERS IN PARADISE, if lgbtq characters are important. She might also enjoy LEGEND OF BOLD RILEY, a graphic novel that is lgbtq-friendly and a lovely read.

Of my stuff, she might enjoy WONDER WOMAN: THE CIRCLE or SECRET SIX: UNHINGED.

Just a few suggestions, hope she likes them!
