i don't know if its true or not about you not watching Arrow. But if its true ,honestly don't blame you for not Arrow given how illogical it is

It’s NOT that, and it’s nothing about the quality of that show or any shows. I just honest to god don’t watch much television, especially series television.

When I grew up, I lived on a farm, we didn’t have television because our house was so remote. I watch a lot of movies, we read books, we play games, and I write. I am aware that most of the really great writing in film right now is happening in series television. It’s not a value judgment. I just don’t watch much tv, most weeks I don’t watch any at all.

So Young Justice could get renewed, if you were asked to write an episode of the show, what would it be about?

I have only seen one episode, so I probably don’t have a pitch off the top of my head.

What's the process for shipping major characters? Like making the date idk how else to say that.

I’m not sure what you are asking, but if you are asking romantic entanglements, it’s not a big deal unless it’s an icon character, or it undoes something previously established. Then you’d have to get it approved.

Why is DC doing away with redheads? Etta isn't a redhead anymore, Wally isn't a redhead anymore. Gingers are vanishing!

I believe it’s true that genetically speaking, people with red hair and blue eyes are the rarest of the major groups in the population of the world, so maybe we’ve just been painfully over-represented until recently?

Hey Gail I was just wondering, whats the process for getting a character killed off? Like who has to approve that?

Well, you would first have to pitch it to your editor, then probably make a pitch to your group editor or editor in chief, as to why this was a good idea. I’ve never killed a major character, I don’t think (I think the biggest was the Golden Age Fiddler, and he could have survived), so I don’t really know.

Hi Gail! I really love your writing, my favourite book run of yours would definitely be the original Birds of Prey. Do you have any writers youd recommend, possibly similar in style to your birds of prey run? Or even stories youd recommend ?

I really like everything by Marjorie M. Liu, Tony Bedard, Marguerite Bennett, G. Willow Wilson, and Kate Leth, off the top of my head.

Thanks, and good reading!

If you ever got the chance to write wonder woman would you introduce wonder boy aka Bobby Barnes (he's a pretty obscure character)

I don’t really recall the character that well, to be honest. But it sounds fun!

My nephew got a bag of plastic farm animals, and there weren't any sharks. Can you please explain this to me?

Well, like how someone always eats the black jellybeans first, someone probably ate all the delicious plastic sharks.

Would you ever co-write a series with Greg Rucka?

This almost happened at least once and we DID sorta talk about it a second time.

The closest it ever came was, we worked together on the SUPERMAN: SACRIFICE story which was his idea, and I wrote a chapter of. It was fun, we had a good time.

Then we were going to write a HUNTRESS/QUESTION road trip story, a mini series where he wrote the Question and I wrote Helena. It would have been amazing but DC had plans for Huntress which I don’t think materialized.

And finally, we had some very preliminary talks about a shared universe with a couple other writers but that didn’t go very far.

Great writer, great guy.
