Have you seen the DC Superhero Girls line? I'm really excited about them. What do you think?

I was not sold on the designs at first, I thought they lacked a unifying component. But seeing them in the stores, I changed my mind. I think they’re adorable and I kind of want all of them. The Bumblebee and Batgirl ones are especially cute, and I’m totally down with cute superheroes.

I watched one of the cartoon shorts and thought it was genuinely charming. Other than that, I don’t know much about them yet.

Attending ECCC?

In the very unlikely event that you get hassled by someone, whether you are a cosplayer or just attending, PLEASE feel free to come straight to my table, Artists’ Alley, E-09, and my hubby and I will look our for you and make sure you are okay. We’ll get help for you if needed.

If you can find someone in the staff, that’s great, but if no one’s available, we will watch out for you,  if someone’s giving you a hard time for any reason. They won’t give you any garbage with my hubby around (he’s big and has no patience for bullies and creeps). 

Just a thing to remember if you are anywhere near us and getting bothered.

Hey Gail, I really enjoy your work, if Marvel asked you to write a taskmaster story would you take them up on it?

If I could…Marvel has asked me to do a few things but timing hasn’t worked out in the last couple years.

I do love Tasky, though!

The only thing I dislike about Strix is that I can't hug her and give her kookies.

The next best thing is giving a Strix cosplayer kookies!

I should have books and scripts at least the first couple days, too, if you want. But hugs, signatures, photos, whatever, are always free, of course!

Do you watch Anime, if not id sugeust Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and The Big O.

I don’t watch much tv at all, so I haven’t seen any of those. But I did watch a big mess of Attack on TItan!

I want to write more Superman, specifically, I love writing the entire cast. He’s just so much fun to write, and so many writers hate writing him, I don’t get it at all.

When the new52 started, I was asked if I would help out with the Super books, I think they were hoping for a bit of extra character work and definition in some titles. I absolutely agreed, but something happened, maybe an editorial change? Not sure. But anyway, it didn’t work out, sadly.

But yeah, I want to write more Superman, it’s one of the main draws in comics for me right now.

What if you like... read fanfiction but didn't tell anyone that you did? That will totally be me in 20 years when I write comics professionaly (I can dream, Harold!).

Time does become an issue and of course, you really DON’T want to be influenced by what other people come up with, especially stuff that’s not in canon.

I was never a big fic reader to be honest, but I always liked the community and I like the interactivity of it.
