Photo Friday: Wherever You Go, There You Are

You might remember, last week I posted a photo tour of my book, Whirlwind, at My Love Affair With Books. One picture I didn't include is a shot of one of the dorms on the Cal Poly campus (the inspiration for Santa Lucia Polythechnic):

A Red Brick Dorm

The funny thing? This ISN'T Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo! This dorm, identical to the ones at the center of Cal Poly's campus, is found on the San Jose State campus. And I've seen the same buildings on the Pomona campus as well.

Do you live near a...

The Bookish Brunette Reviews Whirlwind

Today's tour stop and giveaway is at The Bookish Brunette. She gives Whirlwind 4 Stilettos:

"A delightfully quick and entertaining read- Whirlwind describes itself perfectly with it's title!

The first 100 or so pages were like tortuously sensual, perfect foreplay between Jason and Mel. Yum. Jason is so hot like melted butter dripping off- Oh! TMI… I suppose."

The tour and giveaways continue! Tomorrow's stop is Supernatural Snark. I'll be comparing...

Books and Things Reviews Whirlwind

Today's tour stop is at Books and Things. Melissa reviews Whirlwind and talks about her namesake:

"This book is a sweet contemporary romance with a bit of action thrown in for good measure. Melissa is a interesting character. In some ways quite strong, in others quite fragile. She can hold her own with the boys but does not think she is dating material, since none of the "boys" have ever asked her out. However, when she meets Jason, her best friend's brother, that view comes into question...

For What It's Worth Reviews Whirlwind

Today's tour stop is at For What It's Worth. Karen analyzes and reviews Whirlwind:

"Typically these type of insta-love stories don't work for me but I enjoyed Melissa and Jason's romance. It could be because Mitch is Melissa's best friend so I felt his brother Jason wasn't just some random guy popping up out of nowhere. She has chatted with Jason on line before, she has met his parents already so I could see where there would be a comfort level already established."

What do you think? Is love a...

Secondary Characters Get Their Say in Outtakes

Today's Whirlwind Blog Tour stop is at A Trail of Books Left Behind.

Megan was kind enough to allow me to guest post on her blog today and discuss some of the minor characters in Whirlwind. Too often, minor characters have stories all their own, but there just isn't space in the book to tell them all. So, in addition to peeking into some of the back story involving characters like Mitch and Linda, I've also posted two outtakes from Whirlwind. Strap on your chaps and find your cowboy hat...
