Isn’t it actually winter in Rio?

All the racism in the world and we gotta put up with Northern Hemisphere chauvinism, too?

“The poor are to blame for the existence of rich men.” –Max Stirner

I know that the rich and poor hate each other, and appropriately. But the only way the rich can exist is if there are poor people, and vice versa.

Everybody should get an equal slice of the pie, liberal logic contends. I disagree. I don’t think you are special or worthy at all of anything, simply because you exist.

Unless you claw and scratch for it, is it really worth having?

FIRE NUNS - Untitled

My son’s band again, but this time I have a story.

The bass player, the guy in the middle, came to my house one night totally wasted back when they were all in high school (they all went to high school together in Spearfish, SoDak).

Anyway, he was wasted and puked off my deck into the flowers, which were quite shocked. Some of them didn’t recover, the poor things.

For like a year after that, he apologized profusely to me again and again. Haha. Even when I was talking to my son on the phone and he happened to be in the room.

“Tell your dad I’m sorry!”

They are all grown up now. The guy who puked on my flowers has even served as a Marine in Afghanistan since then. I forgave him a hundred times and still do.

Man, I hope you guys keep this going! (DIRECT ADDRESS).

FIRE NUNS…..on tv!

My son’s band, getting some press in Portland.

The one thing I noticed about this video is the haircuts. Everybody has a haircut. The back shaved, the front puffed up. My son, who’s the singer, looks like his hair was hacked away with garden shears.

Proud Papa.

After video killed the radio star,

I discovered torrents and free shit for miles. And the occasional random dvd.

What’s odd about being non-tv is the disconnect. I really am no longer part of the culture.

TV pools everyone. Groups them. You are this type of person, or you are that. TV is what actually decides.

I do, in fact, like tv. I own Friends, all seasons, on dvd. I have WKRP in Cincinnati, Seinfeld, the Dyke Van Dick Show, and most recently the medical drama House.

I get my tv at bargain basement prices, or for free.

So what’s good lately? What’s worth stealing? Hook me up.

Texas shale oil has fought Saudi Arabia to a standstill

Texas shale oil has fought Saudi Arabia to a standstill:

Today is new year’s day, fiscal year 2017. Cheers!

Over the past year I have scored a profit of 13.09%. It would be closer to 16%, but Atlas Resource declared bankruptcy. Part of the big decline in oil.

Oh, well. I can write the loss off against my gains during tax season.

On a macro outlook, I do love how the US is hanging in there with Saudi Arabia and OPEC (as per article).

Efficiency and innovation. Those are American hallmarks in business. Good to see they are still in place. Bring it, you Saudi motherfuckers.

I am not all about oil. I have invested in solar as well. I think it might be the future. I’m realistic enough to think that future is a ways off. We’re gonna be sucking at the teat of oil for at least another two decades.

Even if our cars drive themselves.
