Poor Dog in Pain With Sores, Scabs, Hunger and Thirst, Came to the Door to Ask for Help

One morning, as I was leaving the house, I saw a child knocking on my door, eating the food I had left outside. But this was no ordinary child. It was Twinkle, a stray dog who had been living on the streets for a long time.

My heart broke when I saw her condition – sores, scabs, peeling skin, and a look of misery in her eyes. Without thinking, I told her, “Welcome to Resurrection House.”

Day 1: I immediately took Twinkle to the nearest vet. The doctor examined her and found that she had many neurological problems and a compromised immune system. Twinkle was having seizures that required hospitalization for clinical treatment. It was a tough start, but I was determined to help her.

Day 5: Under the care of the nurses, Twinkle’s condition improved gradually. The doctor prescribed a variety of medicines, special diets, and skin creams to help her heal. Despite her physical ailments, Twinkle showed incredible resilience and spirit.

Day 20: Twinkle was still wary of people and remained cautious, but she was becoming curious about her surroundings. She ventured out of her hiding spot and started exploring the house and the yard. She discovered a love for sunbathing and enjoyed running around the yard, applying the cream on her healed skin.

Day 25: With each passing day, Twinkle’s progress was evident. She was gaining strength and confidence. She started wagging her tail and showed signs of trust towards the humans around her. She began to bond with the staff at Resurrection House, responding to their care and affection.

Day 43: The transformation was astounding. Twinkle’s once dull and lifeless coat now had a healthy shine. Her eyes sparkled with joy, and her tail wagged incessantly. She had become a different dog altogether. We were overjoyed to see her happy and thriving.

Looking back at Twinkle’s journey, I realized that it was not just physical healing that took place at Resurrection House. Twinkle’s spirit was rejuvenated, and her trust in humans was restored. She had found a place where she was loved, cared for, and given a chance at a new life.

Twinkle’s story is a testament to the power of compassion, resilience, and hope. Despite facing numerous challenges, she never gave up. With the dedication of the veterinary team and the loving care provided at Resurrection House, Twinkle made a remarkable recovery.

Today, Twinkle is a beloved member of our family. She brings us immeasurable joy and reminds us every day of the miracles that can happen when we choose to open our hearts and extend a helping hand to those in need. Twinkle’s transformation from a miserable stray to a happy and healthy dog is a reminder that every life is precious and deserving of a second chance.

Abandoned, Dirty and Hungry Mother Dog is Still Trying to Take Care of Her Cubs in the Dump: She Needs Help

It was a scene of utter despair at the garbage dump. A poor homeless mother, half-naked and surrounded by dying dogs, was trying to protect her puppies with all the love she could muster.

The sight was too much to bear, and I couldn’t stop crying as I waited for a solution to offer her. The area was filled with the bodies of deceased dogs, and the situation seemed dire.

But amidst the heartbreak, there was a glimmer of hope. One of the puppies had fallen into a big hole and was crying for help. Without hesitation, I took the mother and all the babies to my car and brought them to a shelter for much-needed care.

On day 6, I received the best greetings from the mother and her puppies. They had been checked for health and were in good recovery. Despite their previous hardships, they were now adorable and playful, showing resilience and a zest for life.

Day 30 at the shelter arrived, and all the puppies had found their forever homes. Even the mother, whom I had named Pearl, had been adopted too! It was a heartwarming moment to see them embark on a new chapter of their lives with loving families.

Pearl and her new friend, Arya, were inseparable. They enjoyed playing together and brought each other joy. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the whole team of wonderful people at the shelter, Pearl’s dream of finding a loving home had come true.

As time passed, Pearl grew happier and more beautiful with each day. She relished the company of her new friend Arya and sent kisses to everyone who had played a part in her journey from the garbage dump to a loving home.

This heartwarming story is a testament to the power of compassion, resilience, and the unwavering dedication of animal welfare advocates. Loyal little dog always follows the soldier to repay the favor for saving his life once he fell into a deep hole

Griffon, a sweet stray pup, had spent so much time on the streets that he had all but given up hope of ever finding a family.

Until one day, he caught a lucky break.

His wandering brought him to the most unlikely of places, literally a foreign naval base, where he landed in the arms of the man who saved him.

According to a post on Facebook by Paws of War, a nonprofit that trains service dogs for veterans and first responders, “A U.S. Naval Commander saw the little dog and immediately recognized he wouldn’t survive long alone in such a dangerous environment.”

“Scooping the pup up into his arms as he was reminded of his unit’s motto, ‘Those who arrive alive, leave alive,’ and he knew it had to apply to this little soul too.”

It didn’t take long for word of Griffon to spread across the base, and soon everyone was eager to see him.

The statement added, “As the Commander stepped up to care for Griffon, he formed a strong bond with the pup who follows him everywhere,” the post continued.”

“Little Griffon became family. The pup is a bright spot in the days of everyone who meets him.”

The hero commander, who will have to go unnamed, made the decision to adopt Griffon and bring him home with him when he returns to the United States.

Paws of War spokesman Gary Baumann has assured reporters that the commander and Griffon will be reunited shortly.

“Griffon is a super pup,” Baumann told The Dodo. “He loves everyone and every dog he meets and loves to eat. He is doing great.”

“We hope to have a reunion soon,” Baumann said. “The commander is from Maryland and has a wife and kids to welcome Griffon home.”

Girl Takes Her Dying Dog On One Last Car Ride, Dog’s Face Makes Family Tear Up

Libra the Pit Bull mix was just a little puppy when she was brought to the Kramer household. The sweet pooch soon forged a precious bond with the family’s daughter, April, who was just 8 back then.

Abused Dog Left For Dead In Trash Could Barely Lift His Head When Rescuers Find Him

If it hadn’t been for a Good Samaritan finding him, Charlie the Pit Bull would have likely died in a trash heap. Charlie was covered in flies, filth and head wounds and lying in the trash next to a dumpster when Nikki Rubino found him.

Nikki had been tagged in a Facebook post about the dog dumped in the garbage near a recreational center. A vet tech for many years, Nikki knew from looking at him that he was on death’s door. Charlie wasn’t moving when she first approached him to unfasten the string that was attaching him to a pole. That he was even able to lift his head was a miracle.

Nikki and a friend got him to the car and rushed him to Philadelphia Animal Hospital, where his condition has been “touch-and-go” ever since. But the 2-year-old Pit bull has a whole group of supporters rallying to help him heal.

“The following photo is hard to look at but is very important,” the Philadelphia Animal Hospital wrote on Facebook.

“It’s a terrible tragedy when innocent animals are treated in such a way, and we recognize that this is not an isolated incident,” the hospital continued. “Charlie is a very sweet dog and is in stable condition.” The vets are “taking every measure to ensure he gets well.”

An investigation into who is responsible for harming Charlie is also now underway through the Pennsylvania Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ humane law-enforcement unit.

The PSPCA said that Charlie does have a microchip, which was implanted by them as port of their front clinic/vaccine clinic services. Based on Charlie’s wounds it appears he was used as a bait dog for dog fighters.

There has been an outpouring of donations for Charlie, and the Philadelphia Animal Hospital is asking future donations to be directed to the City of Elderly Love: Save a Senior Pet.

“While not our typical rescue, Charlie’s wonderful finders sure brought him to the right place,” City of Elderly Love wrote on Facebook. “Philadelphia Animal Hospital will be caring for and treating him free of cost and as their exclusive rescue partner, we’ll be handling his post-recovery care. We have high hopes that Philly’s amazing Humane Law Enforcement team will be able to bring Charlie’s abusers to justice.”

“There’s no set timeline on his recovery and we’ll have to take it day by day, but Charlie is strong and the worst is over,” the rescue group said. “Tomorrow, he’ll have surgery to remove more of the dead tissue on his face. He’ll need a series of procedures to make a full recovery, but is more comfortable than he has been in a long time.”

His rescuers are making sure he gets lots of rest and cuddles as he recovers.

The animal hospital added, “Tomorrow he will have surgery to remove much of the dead tissue around his face and muzzle. It will be just one of a series of surgeries he will need, but it is a step in the right direction. He is eating well and is much more comfortable than he has been!”

Thank goodness for kind people like Nikki and the rescuers and doctors working to save Charlie’s life and making sure his future is bright.
