After Being Saved A Dog Can Not Stop Smiling And Helps A Couple Find Love

Sometimes it just takes a feeling to know you’ve found “the one.” That’s how Lisa Reilly describes the first time she saw Meatball (or Meaty), the pit bull mix who would melt her heart and become one of her most constant companions.

She writes in an essay for PetCo that she first spotted the smiley dog in a photo posted on Fresno Bully Shelter‘s Facebook page. He reminded her so much of her bull dog, Kitty, who had passed away three months prior.

She took him home and gave him the love and care he desperately needed. Upon welcoming her new companion, she came to realize that he loved the camera.

Reilly gladly snapped shots of Meaty and put his picture on Instagram, quickly realizing how his lovable aura translated across the screen. By scrolling through the images, it’s not hard to see why Meaty’s friendly face has nearly 40K followers falling in love, too.

Right around the time Meaty came into Reilly’s life, she had her first date with Joe, her other love. Meaty was an instant hit with Joe, and it wasn’t long before the two humans worked together to train and play with their new pup. They involved him in all their daily adventures from cooking to watching movies…and of course, dressing Meaty up for photo shoots.

Eventually, Joe even dressed Meaty in the finest formal wear and trained him to balance a diamond ring on his nose, utilizing all of his adorable charms to help present an un-bull-ievably adorable proposal.

Now, the newlyweds have a large family of four rescued dogs, each with their own personalities and quirks, but it’s Meaty that demands to stand out, smile big, and put on a show for us all.

Dog Adopted From The Shelter Can Not Stop Hugging His New Owner To Show His Grateful

Some people are too quick to dismiss the term “Love at First sight.” I mean, sure, can you find someone and love them automatically in the very second you lay eyes on them. Probably not. Not with people. With dogs on the other hand, I 100% agree it’s a thing.

That’s what happened to Philadelphia student Kayla Filoon. She volunteers at the ACCT Philly shelter as a dog walker and one day she came across Russ the Pit Bull, just looking at her. In that second, it was love.

Russ had been brought into the shelter as a stray and he was really worse for wear; he was missing fur on his tail and ears and was incredibly skinny. Kayla knew that she had to take him home.

But you know, there’s protocols and such to follow, so she went about the rest of her day and came back later to check on him. He was still just chilling there, quietly waiting. She took him for a 45 minute walk and it only took the first 5 for her to fall in love.

As soon as she came down to his level, he was super cuddly with her and acted so sweet towards her and the other dogs.

She also found that he knew basic commands like ‘sit,’ ‘down’ and ‘stay’ which made her think that he used to belong to someone who cared enough to teach him, but somehow he ended up on the street.

She decided that she had to take him soon, as the kennel was going through some renos and was overcrowded. They had recently euthanized several dogs and Russ had a good chance of being on the list for the next round as he had kennel cough, was in rough shape and of course, his breed.

The next day she came back and took him for a car ride to see how acclimatized he’d be to vehicles, and he just sat there like a polite boy.

That was it, she had to have him. When they got back to the shelter, she adopted him and brought him to his new home.

Lucky for Russ, Kayla had 6 other roommates who fell in love with him too and started to give him all the love he deserves. I took him a while to get used to the situation, however, so he just slept and rested, trying to get over his kennel cough.

But once he did, he started to thank Kayla everyday by sticking close to her.

One day she was doing homework and had an entire couch, Russ’ bed and blankets everywhere, but he crawled up onto the couch and snuggled with her.

Just look at him.

From almost being next on the chopping block, to finding a mom to rescue him, this guy’s not going to stop being affectionate. He’s literally the perfect dog.

Kayla (and I’m sure anyone who’s rescued a dog will tell you), this is why you should adopt rescues. After everything they’ve been through, they deserve to be loved and love so tremendously in return.

This guy literally won’t leave her alone, and that’s fine with her. He’ll literally come to her and put his head under her arm or lay a paw on her chest.

Or he’ll just lay on top of her for some snuggles.

He’s seriously the most grateful dog, and Kayla and he are so lucky to have found one another. Russ, keep on hugging. You’ve earned all the doggie snuggles you’re getting.

The skinny and hungry homeless dog roams in search of help and luck has come to her

A young girl’s visit to her grandmother’s house turned into a life-changing experience when she stumbled upon a stray dog wandering in the elderly lady’s yard. Shocked by the dog’s emaciated and pitiful condition, the girl immediately contacted a local animal rescue organization for help.

“When we saw the video of the stray dog, we knew that we had to save her,” said one of the volunteers from the animal rescue organization. “But when we arrived at the scene, the dog had disappeared. We were determined to find her and give her the help she desperately needed.”

The search for the stray dog began in earnest, with volunteers scouring the area for any sign of her. Finally, after hours of searching, one of the volunteers spotted the dog hiding in a bush. It was a heart-wrenching sight – the dog was nothing but skin and bones, with infected sores all over her body and eyes that seemed to reflect the worst of her suffering.

“There was absolutely no justification for why she was in such a condition,” said the volunteer. “She had been starved for months, and it was clear that she had experienced sheer agony during that time.”

The rescue team immediately took the dog, whom they named Ivy, to their veterinarian for urgent medical care. Ivy tested positive for Babesiosis, a serious tick-borne illness, and required a blood transfusion. She also received a medicated bath to help treat her skin condition.

“When we offered Ivy food for the first time, she looked at it hesitantly, as if she had never seen good food before,” recounted the volunteer. “It was heartbreaking to think of what she must have gone through.”

Despite her frail condition, Ivy showed remarkable resilience. After just a day of treatment, she began gaining confidence and was less scared. She started eating with more strength, and within a week, she had gained over 2 kilograms, weighing in at 7.65 kilograms.

“Ivy’s progress was truly remarkable,” said the veterinarian. “Her will to survive and recover was truly inspiring.”

After seven days of intensive care, Ivy was finally able to leave the vet’s office. She wagged her tail with excitement as she boarded the rescue organization’s “happy bus,” which would take her to her new home in the UK with her new godmother.

“We were overjoyed to see Ivy’s transformation,” said the volunteer. “She had come a long way from the emaciated dog we found in the yard. She was now ready to start a new chapter in her life.”

Ivy’s journey to recovery was made possible by the generosity of donors who supported the animal rescue organization. The organization expressed their heartfelt thanks to those who had donated to provide Ivy with much-needed meals and medical care.

“Thanks to the support of our donors, Ivy now has a chance at a happy, healthy life,” said the volunteer. “Her story is a testament to the power of compassion and the difference we can make when we come together to help animals in need.”

Today, Ivy is thriving in her new home in the UK, where she is surrounded by love and care from her godmother. Her once sad and emaciated frame has been replaced by a healthy and happy dog who enjoys her meals with gusto and wags her tail with joy.

“Ivy’s life has been transformed,” said her godmother. “She has brought so much happiness and love into our lives, and we are grateful every day that we were able to give her a second chance. Ivy is a true testament to the resilience and spirit of rescue animals, and her story is a reminder of the importance of animal welfare and the power of compassion.”

It is to bid farewell to his one and only family, his beloved dog Yuty (female), who has shared his pleasures and sorrows.

Owing to the efforts of hospital personnel and volunteer employees, the wish was realized. On that day, Yuty visited the hospital.

Even though it had been months since he was in the hospital, Utie recalled McClain. He cuгls up to McClain’s body and stares at him with adoring eyes, like he did while he was asleep in the car.

Understanding or not that this was the final time, Utie tenderly licked McClain’s hands and face and exited the room. McClain dιed soon after being reunited with her Utie.

2-Legged Dog Rejected For 8 Yrs And Returned 3 Times Begs For A Chance At Life

Nessie McNubbins is a Chihuahua who was born without her front legs due to neglectful ʙʀᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ. She was continually returned to rescue centres because people didn’t want to care for her. Nessie ended up at a shelter and the workers immediately fell in love with this charming and spirited girl!

The shelter visitors would come and watch her with amusement, but sadly, there were no takers for the disabled dog.

For a long time, Nessie wondered why she was never picked by any of the families. Over a period of 8 years, she was “adopted” 3 times, but the families always returned her within a few days. Nessie was tired of being “inadequate” and “unwanted”, but her fortunes changed when Theresa Loyacano stumbled upon her picture on social media!

The mum-of-three from Katy, Texas, said: “My dachshund, Sunday, had just .ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴀᴡᴀʏ at the age of 18 and I was heartbroken. To fill the void I started following rescue centres on socie network.”

“That’s how I came across Nessie – the Texas Chihuahua Centre posted her story to their Facebook page.

“She had been returned to the shelter multiple times because people didn’t want her and I couldn’t bear the thought of her being abandoned like that. I thought to myself: ‘We need to go get her.’”

Theresa and her husband Gregory went to visit Nessie at the centre and fell for her immediately. “We visited her and I fell in love. We had to bring her home with us,” she said.

Theresa knew Nessie belonged with her, and she reached out to the shelter and adopted this sweet girl. The shelter was nervous about the 2-legged Chihuahua settling in her new home. But this time, everything fell into place! Nessie was finally in her “real” forever home!

After years of rejection, Nessie celebrated her adoption by hopping around her new home like a kangaroo on her strong back legs!

Tied To a Tree and Starved, The Motheг Ρitbull Still Ρrotects Her Ρrecious Cubs

In the wσrld σf dσg breeds, ρit bulls must haνe σne σf the wσrst reρutatiσns. They are σften wrσngfully labeled as aggressiνe, dangerσus, and ticƙing time bσmbs that are ready tσ exρlσde any minute.

But these are labels giνen by ρrejudiced ρeσρle. If these same ρeσρle were allσwed tσ be acquainted with a ρitbull – they wσuld mσst liƙely remember σne thing abσut them: their big hearts.

That’s right – ρit bulls are σften warm-hearted, ƙind, and incredibly lσyal dσgs.

If yσu dσn’t belieνe me, ƙeeρ reading.

Ρitbull Lara was fσund abandσned σutside the Greeƙ ρσrt σf Nafρliσn. Lara’s σwner nσt σnly left the dσg in the middle σf nσwhere, but she was alsσ tied tσ a tree — withσut any fσσd σr water.

Lσnely and scared, Lara was left tσ her fate.

Tσ maƙe things eνen mσre tragic, neighbσrs ƙnew that Lara was tied tσ a tree in the wσσds, but nσbσdy wanted tσ aρρrσach her because they feared her breed.

Nσbσdy ƙnσws hσw lσng the ρσσr dσg had been sitting there tied tσ that tree. And the stσry dσesn’t end there – Lara was ρregnant. Afraid and alσne in the fσrest, unable tσ gσ anywhere, she gaνe birth tσ fσur adσrable ρuρρies.

Desρite nσt haνing adequate fσσd, Lara sσmehσw managed tσ taƙe care σf her ρuρρies fσr 10 lσng ρainful days – until her saνiσrs fσund her.

Eνen thσugh nσbσdy in the νillage wanted tσ adσρt σr taƙe care σf Lara, lucƙily sσmeσne reρσrted her tσ an animal welfare σrganizatiσn. The σrganizatiσn became aware that there was a dσg tied in the wσσds whσ was suffering.

As sσσn as rescue wσrƙers came tσ the scene and fσund Lara, they cσuld see that they were dealing with a malnσurished and extremely dehydrated dσg.

But they were eνen mσre shσcƙed tσ see her little ρuρρies jumρing arσund haρρily.

Lara had nσt σnly dσne a great jσb in guarding and ρrσtecting them but alsσ feeding them with whateνer she cσuld find — all while tied tσ a tree. Talƙ abσut maternal instinct.

Desρite the mσther’s great effσrts, the fiνe ρuρs struggled a lσt during these 10 days and unfσrtunately, the smallest ρuρρy didn’t maƙe it.

But the σther fσur ρuρρies managed tσ surνiνe, thanƙs tσ their herσic mσm. The team whσ saνed the dσgs eνentually managed tσ find a fσster hσme that wσuld taƙe care σf Lara and her ρuρρies.

Linda at The Orρhan Ρet came tσ Lara’s rescue, and she alsσ tσσƙ care σf the fσur little ρuρρies.

Althσugh rescued and in a haρρy hσme with Linda, Lara had becσme shy and didn’t trust her new σwner. The mamma dσg alsσ refused tσ eat, as she was traumatized.

But with time, Lara realized that Linda was there tσ helρ, and she began tσ relax and becσme mσre cσmfσrtable in her new hσme.

Tσday the whσle family is dσing well. Isn’t it sσ lσνely that this stσry had a haρρy ending?

All dσg breeds haνe the ρσtential tσ be affectiσnate and lσνing cσmρaniσns — but Lara’s strength and lσyalty are sσmething σut σf the σrdinary.

Meet The World’s Safest Baby that is Protected by Three Giant Dogs

In a heartwarming scene of animal love and protection, we see the world’s safest baby surrounded by his furry guardians. The baby, named Teddy, is only two years old and is being protected from the family cat by a puppy named Milo. Though it may seem criminal to call Milo a puppy at two years old, he’s still a young and energetic dog.

Teddy’s mom shares that this is actually the longest he has been awake, which is around three to four hours. In this short amount of time, Teddy is already causing a bit of chaos as he tries to destroy his mom’s garland. But Nico, the family’s other dog, is quick to intervene and protect the decoration.

Nico, the only female pet in the family, is in full “Mama mode” as she watches over Teddy. She’s always by his side, never resting and always alert to protect her little human friend. The mom notes that she’s noticed a difference in Nico’s behavior since Teddy was born.

As Teddy plays with his toys, we see that the dogs have taken over his old toys. Even a stuffed elephant that was once Teddy’s is now being played with by the dogs. It’s a beautiful reminder of how animals can form strong bonds and love, not just with humans, but with each other.

Despite the challenges of being a new parent, Teddy’s mom is taking it all in stride. She jokes about how she’s being supervised by the dogs and feels like they’re judging her skills. But in reality, they just want to cuddle and give her attention.

In the end, it’s a beautiful scene of love, protection, and joy. Teddy is surrounded by furry friends who will always be there to watch over him and keep him safe. And as the mom notes, even though it’s a challenging time, she knows it’s only temporary, and she cherishes every moment with her little one.

Abandoned Dog in a Box, She is Hungry and Thirsty, She Can Only Cry And Waiting for Help

It was a heart-wrenching sight to see the dog sitting in a crate for two days, not knowing why she was abandoned. Her sad eyes spoke volumes, and it was evident that her heart was broken. My boy brought her food, but she ignored it, showing no interest.

We knew we had to do something to help her.

Upon examination by the doctor, it was determined that she had no broken bones, but her muscles were weak and she needed exercise. I decided to give her all my heart and attention, hoping that it would help her heal.

It was a challenging journey, but with time and patience, she started making progress.

At first, she could only drag her hind legs, but she never lost her spirit. Her determination to walk again was evident, and with regular practice, she started making small steps. Three months later, she was re-evaluated by the vet, and we were thrilled to learn that she was able to walk on her hind legs.

She was also becoming more friendly with everyone, including children, revealing her warm and tolerant heart.

Despite the challenges, she found joy in her exercises, and her boundless happiness when she could finally go for a walk was palpable. It was a bittersweet moment when a family expressed interest in adopting her. I had grown attached to her and cherished the memories we had made together.

However, I knew it was the best decision for her to have a loving forever home.

Months later, I went back to visit her, and I was overjoyed to see her looking prettier and bigger. She had settled into her new family’s home, and they cared for her with love and devotion. It was evident that she was finally happy and thriving, and it brought tears of joy to my eyes.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of her journey to recovery and happiness. She taught me the power of resilience, determination, and the unconditional love that dogs are capable of. I am thankful to the family who adopted her and gave her the life she deserved.

As I bid her farewell, I knew that she was in good hands and that she would continue to bring joy and happiness wherever she went.

In conclusion, this abandoned dog’s story is a testament to the resilience and spirit of animals. Despite the challenges she faced, she never lost hope and eventually found happiness in her new home. Her journey is a reminder of the importance of compassion, patience, and dedication in helping animals in need.

I will forever cherish the memories of our time together, and I am grateful to have been a part of her story. Thank you for being with us on this incredible journey of hope and healing.

Dogs Throw The Most Adorable Party For Grandma’s 89th Birthday

Younger people, take note — this is what it looks like when someone is winning at life.

The other day, this big-hearted grandmother named Maria marked her 89th birthday at home in Brazil. But it was far from a fuddy-duddy sort of affair.

It was actually a celebration most people can only dream of.

Maria, you see, has many furry friends.

Grandma Maria shares her home with her daughter, her daughter’s family and a happy pack of adorable dogs — 10 in all. To them, Maria is the embodiment of kindness and love. And she makes sure all her dogs get plenty.

“The house is very busy!” Vitoria Abencoada, Maria’s daughter, told The Dodo. “She loves living with animals. She loves to cuddle with them.”

So, it only made sense that, when Maria’s birthday came along, all those pups would throw a party.

The dogs sat alongside Maria at the table as the celebration got underway. And no birthday would be complete, of course, without a birthday song.

Surrounded by so much love, Grandma Maria was radiant.

It was perfect:

“The dogs loved participating in Grandma’s party!” Abencoada said. “Here, they are treated as part of the family. They participate in everything.”

There was delicious food served as well — treats for people and more than a few for pups.

Over her many decades on Earth, Grandma Maria has no doubt experienced her fair share of joys and celebrations. Perhaps too many to even count.

But thanks to her love of animals — and their love for her — after 89 years, it just keeps getting better.

Boy With Amputated Leg Becomes Best Friends With Puppy Who’s Missing A Paw

There’s nothing sweeter than the bond between a boy and his dog. A good pet can change a kid’s life, providing a loving and loyal friend and playmate.

But one boy and his new puppy have an especially strong bond, as they share something remarkable in common.

Marvel is a golden retriever puppy born with a unique difference: she was born missing her right front paw.

While many people would not want a differently-abled pet like her, Marvel’s breeder knew that there would be someone special out there who would see her beauty – perhaps someone going through the same thing.

“We wanted her to go in a home with someone who had a limb difference,” Barb Felt of Rolling Oaks Goldens told WCCO.

It turned out, there was someone nearby who was the perfect candidate to adopt Marvel.

Paxton Williams, a 7-year-old boy from Waconia, Minnesota, was born premature and had an infection in his leg. Three years ago, doctors amputated his foot and replaced it with a prosthetic so he would be able to walk more easily.

When the family heard about the three-pawed puppy in need of a good home, they knew it was meant to be.

Marvel was brought home, and while all the kids loved the new puppy, she and Paxton formed an extra special bond. The young boy immediately recognized their shared difference.

“It’s like they knew they were special,” Paxton’s father Blaine Williams told WCCO.

Paxton and Marvel are both missing limbs, but more importantly neither are letting it slow them down.

The two will often run around and play together; their strides may look a little different but they look like they don’t have a care in the world.

And having a puppy just like him has helped Paxton embrace his own differences.

“It gives him the opportunity to tell the kids, ‘Oh she’s missing a paw, she’s like me,’ and like it gives him that voice, too, to advocate for himself,” his mother Stephanie said.

What an adorable friendship. It’s so heartwarming that these two found each other and have formed such a great bond.

It’s amazing how a good dog can change a kid’s life. Share this incredible story!
