Blind, sore and hungry, she was resigned to leaving without receiving the help she needed

There is no greater legacy than leaving the world a bit better than it was when we came into it. Seeing an innocent animal suffering leads hundreds of individuals to become rescuers of innocent animals on the streets, or who are treated with disdain.

And it is that, when the heart is opened to the furry ones that need someone to protect them, there is a power that tugs us to save them. One of these exceptional ladies, a member of the Lucky Dog Refuge in the city of Stanford, Connecticut, United States, discovered a canine in a dreadful situation.

The fuzzy one called Halo lay curled up on a woodland floor . She had an utterly lost appearance, which signified that she was blind . Besides, she was famished. Luckily, the good will of this group of men and women made it possible for Halo to aspire to a fresh start in life.

Halo was truly in a dreadful condition, but, with a little tight care , loads of love, compassion and, yes, a few McDonald’s ice cream cones, the dog rose from her ashes and started to reveal herself exactly as she is. that is really .

According to a local media station, the young animal was left in the center of the greenery , on the ground in a ball, probably simply waiting for death to finally end suffering. His blindness was visible by the milky tone of his pupils.

One of the volunteers attempted to encourage her with some food so that she would get up on her own and leave the site on her own. By the time she stood up they discovered why she was so weak: Halo was just bones and skin .

Hence its name Halo, “halo” in Spanish , because the rescue team took the decision that, if the impossibility of treating her was near, they would put her to death with dignity. The fact is that she was suffering too much , clinging on. To them, it wasn’t fair to prolong out her misery.

“We felt it wasn’t worth it for her to endure more than she was suffering . If necessary, we would put her to sleep,” remarked a rescuer.

As if by a miracle, Halo started to advance little by little and to heal, with all the chances of living a regular life again. She joined a foster family to start her medical therapy .

According to Stacey, her foster mother, Halo’s health was quite bad when she came, yet no one at the shelter hesitated a second to assist her with anything.

Once she was ready to start moving, Halo leaned on Stacey, exhibiting immense delight in experiencing the love of human warmth, to whom she selflessly showed something she had never experienced. Hugs, kisses, caresses and snuggling are minimal between them.

“The dog made progress in her recuperation and is a very lively fluffy dog, loving of caresses and clever , despite her vision handicap. She likes eating up her favorite ice cream cones on the couch,” noted her caretaker.

This is excellent good news for everyone in the Animal Kingdom. We love to observe how another life is spared by a bunch of kind beings , entirely committed to safeguarding their well-being. Excellent folks!

Dog Always Offers His Favorite Toy When He Hears His Baby Brother Crying

It’s his most prized possession — but he doesn’t mind sharing if it will make his brother feel better.

There is just one toy that Brutus, a bullmastiff living with his family in Northern California, has refrained from shredding to pieces: the sacred fluffball.

The fluffball is an indistinct plush yellow thing that Brutus likes to carry around in his mouth. “It’s the only toy that he won’t tear apart in five minutes,” Bonnie Michalek, Brutus’ human, told The Dodo.

Despite Brutus’ penchant for destroying toys, he’s the most loyal and gentle dog.

Bonnie Michalek and her husband have had Brutus since they got him in 2016, as soon as they had a house big enough for a big dog like him. “I call him my first baby,” Michalek said.

Michalek has to make the distinction of “first” now because she gave birth to their first human child 11 weeks ago: a son named Kayden.

Even though Kayden is a new experience for the whole family, the Michaleks had no concerns about whether Brutus would get along well with the new baby.

“He’s always loved kids,” Michalek said. “Every time he’s heard kids outside laughing he gets excited.”

Indeed, Brutus actually knew the Michaleks were expecting even before they did.

“Brutus knew I was pregnant before I did — he definitely sensed it before I knew,” Michalek said. “On the nights my husband was working Brutus refused to be in his crate.”

Even when Michalek adjusted the crate to give Brutus more room, he refused — he just wanted to be near her. “Looking back I thought he was just being a brat but really he was trying to protect me,” she said.

And because Brutus is such a mama’s boy, she was careful to include him in the changes occurring in the family as they got ready for little Kayden to arrive.

When Kayden was born, Brutus went to stay at Bonnie’s parents’ house. And when his family came to pick him up, Bonnie was cognizant that Brutus, being the mama’s boy he is, would want a little time alone with her before being introduced to the baby.

“I made sure to pay some attention to him,” Michalek said. Then she let Brutus come in and meet the baby. “Brutus completely bypassed my husband to meet Kayden. He immediately wanted to give him kisses and snuggle up to him.”

Ever since that first day, Brutus hasn’t let Kayden out of his sight.

Whenever he hears Kayden cry, Brutus knows he has to help somehow. So he started bringing the famously sacred fluffball over to Kayden.

“He grabs his favorite toy to bring it to Kayden to console him!” Michalek said.

The fluffball always makes Brutus feel good, so he figured it could work the same magic for his little brother. (No need to tell him that milk works a little better.)

The whole family is looking forward to the future with Kayden.

“We go to our cabin every summer and we go hiking and Brutus has loved that ever since he was a puppy. I went there as kid,” Michalek said. “I’m super excited to bring Kayden along.”

Everyone is learning and growing now that Kayden is here. And Brutus just learned that, in addition to the fluffball, there are other kinds of toys out there that aren’t even for dogs — but hopefully Kayden will return the favor and share.

Woman Did Not Hesitate To Stop Highway Traffic To Rescue Run Over Puppy – She Saved His Life

It was a normal day for the American woman Debbie Allen , who was traveling in her car on a busy interstate highway, when she abruptly observed that several drivers began to slow down for no apparent reason.

However, a few seconds later he understood what was happening: a German shepherd had escaped from home and, somewhat disoriented, wound up in the middle of the road .

Unfortunately, a person couldn’t see him and ran over him, before which he merely fled.

Clearly, Debbie was not going to leave the unfortunate puppy in such peril, so she did not hesitate for a second to stop her vehicle to go to assist him. “I saw a dog in the middle of the road and it was visibly limping so I knew it had been driven over,” she told.

Later, the woman indicated that she was going to meet a client at work that day, but that “God had other arrangements for her.” When she got out and attempted to walk towards the dog, all the vehicles stopped, but the frightened little animal ran away.

Even so, he did not give up and pursued him until he was able to take him and leave him protected on the side of the track . Fortunately, the Michigan State Police arrived soon after to assist with the case .

“I sat down with the dog, told him he was safe and asked him to look at me because he was searching for an escape route and I said ‘ no, no, look at me, you’re safe,’ ” he said.

From what Allen saw, the German Shepherd was well fed, clean and behaved very politely, despite his anxiety at the time, so it was evident that he had recently left the care of his owners.

The Society for the Protection of Animals also arrived at the scene , who were able to take him away safely and treat his injuries. Unfortunately, he was not microchipped, so the search for his family is a bit more complicated, but they won’t give up. They have to gather them.

“I’m not a hero, just a human being,” Debbie concluded.

Bjarni is one of these unfortunate dogs and he had a deformity, but reconstructive surgery changed his life forever!

He was found wandering the streets all alone

Bjarni was found on the streets of Houston, Texas, all alone. He was one of many stray animals in the area, but he was found and taken to an animal shelter to see if he had any owners.

His owners were found and they were contacted so they could come to get him. However, their answer was not what anyone wants to hear. They said they had left him to die because they didn’t want Bjarni anymore.

When the vet at the shelter met Bjarni, he wasn’t sure how he became so deformed. The poor pup looked like his face had been ripped away by something or someone. That’s quite a graphic image, but some things can’t be sugarcoated.

Abandoned because of his deformity

Regardless of what caused Bjarni’s deformity, the fact is that the pup was missing his mouth and half of his nose. As such, he had a hard time breathing and eating. However, the shelter was determined to get him the help he needed, so they contacted Anne Graber.

Anne is the founder of St. Francis’ Angels, which is an animal rescue group in Texas. When she met Bjarni, it was clear through his behavior that he hadn’t been treated well at all. He needed to get his confidence back.

Judging by the scars on his body, it’s clear he had been attacked by other dogs while on the streets, which wasn’t easy for him to fathom because he has such a sweet nature. So, Anne was happy to get involved and help this dog get his life back.

Turning things around for Bjarni

Anne got to work and she set things in motion that will change the dog’s life forever. She advocated for him to get the reconstructive surgery he needed, so she got to work to secure the funding for it. Anne reached out to the community at large through a fundraiser and successfully raised more than $5,000.

Jason Balara was the veterinarian who performed the surgery to reconstruct Bjarni’s face and he realigned the pup’s sinus cavities and nose. That would make it easier for him to breathe and eat. His nose would never look normal, but his deformity was reduced tremendously, giving Bjarni his cuteness back.

Bjarni finds a new home

Only a month after the surgery, Bjarni looked like an entirely different dog, so it was time for him to find a forever home. Anne wanted him to have a gentle-hearted family who already had a dog so Bjarni could have someone to play with. Also, the pup needed to stay inside.

After searching high and low for the right fit, Anne’s rescue group finally found a good family for Bjarni. They renamed him Hogan and Anne was so excited, she shared the news on the rescue group’s Facebook page. It was official, Bjarni had been adopted and welcomed into a new home.

The family was smitten with him from the first time they met him, so they knew it was a perfect fit. Anne was grateful to be able to turn things around for such a special dog. Things could’ve taken a wrong turn at any point, but thankfully, everything went well and his life changed forever.

Anne is a firm believer that animals have a lot to teach us about compassion and humanity. No matter how mistreated and abused they are, when given a chance and shown that not all people are bad, they can trust and love again. It’s one of the most rewarding things about adopting animals!

Mom In Tears When Finding Her Dog Starving After Being Stolen 2 Years Ago

When the animal rescuers first laid eyes on a big, stray dog wandering the streets of Ukraine, they could tell he had endured a lot. He was riddled with mange and starving. But he was friendly.

They brought him back to the “Happy Animals” (МКП “Щасливі тварини) animal shelter and posted a photo of him to raise support to help nurse him back to health and to find him a potential home.

As people shared the images of the unfortunate dog, the shelter received a call from a woman who claimed the dog resembled her dog, who was kidnapped from her backyard two years ago.

The shelter invited her to come visit the dog and check if the dog knew her.

The woman in this video reaches out to the depressed and lonely dog. The dog appears afraid at first, but he remembers his mom’s scent and lovely face.

He reaches his paws towards her and rises to get a better look at her face.

The dog immediately recognizes her and begins licking and kissing her all over! The mom, too, bursts into tears and holds her bereaved child (his name is Lord!).

Shelter staff shared “tears of joy” watching the woman and Lord reunite. Happily, they filmed the the heartwarming reunion.

“We thank everyone who shared our post,” the shelter later wrote. “Thanks to you that the dog’s life was saved, and peace returned to his owner’s soul!”

We were all in tears after this incredibly emotional reunion. We are grateful to the shelter and everyone who shared Lord’s photo and assisted him in finding his way back to his mom!

Emotional moment a mother dog gives her puppy one last kiss before it is taken away by a new owner

Since mid-September, when she gave birth to a litter of seven puppies, the mixed-breed stray pooch has been in the care of students at Zhengzhou University in Henan province.

The video, which was shot on Monday, shows the tearful mother kissing her brown pup goodbye before sending it off with its new owner.

The female owner was spotted carrying the young pup in her arms to her scooter, as the concerned mother trailed after.

The mother dog came to a halt next to the owner’s scooter, head down, tail down, and ears drooping, as if pleading to see her pup again.

The owner lowered the young pooch to its mother, who kissed and licked it goodbye.

‘Don’t worry, I’ll take excellent care of your puppy,’ the owner was heard promising the mother dog.

The mother dog then turns her head and marches away, but not before returning one final glance at her adoring puppy.

Millions of people have been touched by the viral video, with many saying that the tragic parting looks like “something straight out of a movie.”

‘I’ve never seen something so sad!’ One person commented. ‘I’m sobbing.’ ‘Can they both be adopted together?’ said another.

Shattered Dog Struck In Head Wants To Live Despite His Body Shutting Down

“We never stop pleading for him and saying his name in prayer. He continues to struggle mightily to survive and is in desperate need of prayers.”

This poor little dog was rescued after a call was placed about his abuse. His owner, who was supposed to love him, got aggravated and hit him over the head.

His injuries were severe. The dog’s little head was swollen and he wasn’t responsive at first.

Once the little dog arrived at the vet clinic, he was assessed immediately. His head trauma meant his future was uncertain.

Every hour mattered as he was closely monitored. If he made a turn for the worse, there wouldn’t be much the vet could do.

But everyone was already so fond of the little fighter. His new human friends and advocates would ensure that the little pup was safe and not in pain.

Amazingly, despite having seizures, the dog began to improve. He was so happy to see every kind human who came to his kennel. His tail wags are epic.

It’s incredible how a dog can be so badly mistreated by a human and still accept people as his friends.

As the dog steadily improved, the doc came up with an excellent treatment plan which includes anti-seizure medication, a diet rich in protein, and lots of love from all his new friends!

The little dog is still recovering as we speak. His future is uncertain so he needs all the prayers he can get. Can you send some his way?

As Globeta’s health continued to improve, she became more energetic and playful. The stranger couldn’t help but fall in love with her, and they made the decision to adopt her as their own. They promised to provide her with all the love and care she needed to thrive.
