‘Broken’ Dog Can’t Stop Smiling When He Realizes He’s Being Rescued
Sanford was once described as a “broken dog” with sad smiles until he met his foster mom, Karen Velazquez, who helped him and gave him a chance to live. The poor dog couldn’t stop smiling when he realized that he was rescued and safe.
Animal control saved him in April after he was hit by a car, which left him unable to walk. The officer also found a gunshot wound in his right back leg. They quickly brought him to a small municipal shelter in Dallas, Texas.
Unfortunately, the shelter lacked resources, so Sanford didn’t receive the medical care that he needed during that time. He was physically and mentally broken.
Thankfully, a volunteer of Dallas DogRRR, a local dog rescue group, saved Sanford from the shelter. But the biggest change happened when Sanford was placed into Velazquez’s care.
“He was physically broken … and when the volunteer went to see him, he didn’t really make any effort to come and say hello,” Kerry Anechiarico, executive director of Dallas DogRRR, told The Dodo. “It’s almost like he had given up, and he was just waiting for his time to come.”
“I am presently on my 52nd foster, and I can genuinely say that I’ve never had anyone as jovial as him,” Velazquez told The Dodo.“He looks at me in a way that no other animal or human has ever looked at me, including my own pets. Essentially, the only time he is not smiling is when he is asleep or eating.”
Sanford has been all smiles ever since he moved into Velazquez’s house. He seemed to know that he was in a safe place with kind people. Sanford is very happy in his foster home and is waiting patiently for someone who will love him and adopt him.
“He’ll be a great family dog,” Anechiarico said. “He’ll get along with other dogs and all humans. He even does well with kids.”
“He’s the perfect companion dog that you can come home to,” Anechiarico added. “He’ll wag his tail and greet you, and he’ll just keep you company for the rest of the day. He’s just a happy-go-lucky dog now.”
Despite everything that happened, he is still sweet and gentle. Now, he has the biggest smile on his face all the time and a loving foster house where he is loved and cared. We hope that Sanford will be adopted soon and find his forever home that he deserves.

Dying Dog Refuses To Leave This World Before Helping His Abused Friend To Walk Again
Having someone by your side is so important. As if we’ve someone by our side, we can go through everything.
Two dogs in Saint Louis proved how important to stay by your friends to rescuers. When the rescuers got a call about a poor injured pooch had been abandoned in a domestic garden, they directly went to pick it up. They found a dog by her side, when they arrived to the park.
It was obvious that she was the victim of some serious abuse… There’re many signs of blunt trauma on her sides and back.
The severe injuries showed that Frann was hit many times with something potentially lethal and very heavy.
What was sitting near Frann helped to survive her. It was another dog, who then named Fanny, protected her injured friend.
Actually, the rescue workers thought Frann’s life had been saved by Fanny! The workers then took Frann into their vehicle.
Actually, Fanny did not want to leave her friend without care, so she followed them to keep her eye on Frann.
While in the vet’s office, Fanny still watching on Frann. And she still worried until her friend reappeared from the surgery room. Frann did not give up, even though that she still could not walk 2 weeks after the surgery. Fanny and the veterinarians did not also give up. Fortunately, Frann started getting better and better with the support of Fanny and everyone else.
Suddenly, Frann started walking again, but sadly Fanny died soon after that! It seemed like she did not care about her own illness and fought it, until she knew that her friend could take care of herself.
Frann was then offered up for adoption. And fortunately, she got adopted by kind people who decided to change her life. We know that Frann will never forget Fanny, who stood by her side until she became healthy. Watch the video below.
Share this with your family and friends.

The smart dog alerted the shop owner to the couple he was with and has been dognapped
A five-month-old Australian shepherd called Vango may have had a paw in his own rescue when he alerted personnel at a Gatineau, Que., pet store to his alleged dognapping.
According to Yves Jodoin, a staff member and dog trainer at Au Royaume des Animaux, Vango visited the store Monday with a couple who typically came in to buy cat food.
“The dog was barking, the dog was poking and he really wanted my attention,” Jodoin recalled.
Jodoin said he instantly grew concerned when the couple didn’t appear to know basic facts about the dog – his precise age, whether he’d been sterilized, what sort of food he ate and how much they’d spent for him.
“They were dodging the questions,” Jodoin added. “I was giving the dog biscuits, but the dog was still barking.”
Meanwhile, a coworker proceeded to check social media for instances of stolen dogs, and soon turned up a photo of Vango. The dog had been reported missing from his home in Buckingham, Que., barely two and a half hours earlier.
That’s when Jodoin suddenly realized he already knew the dog – he’d trained Vango as a puppy.
“At that point I yelled, ‘Vango, come!’ And the dog was reacting, he was jumping,” Jodoin recalled. “All along he was barking and poking, trying to say, ‘Hey, I’m not the dog they say I am.’”
The couple said they’d found the dog in the woods. The woman informed Jodoin she wanted to retain the dog as a support animal since she had terrible health and couldn’t afford to acquire and train a dog.
Surrounded by witnesses at the store, Jodoin urged the couple to relinquish the animal. Then he phoned Vango’s legal owner, Josée Francoeur.
“I can’t talk about it without sobbing,” Francoeur said about the moment she got Jodoin’s call.
Francoeur claimed the dog disappeared after she let him out for a potty in her enclosed yard about 9 a.m. Monday. As she peeked her head out the door, Vango, who wasn’t microchipped was gone.
“Is it possible that someone abducted him? And I was wondering, ‘Who could do that? It’s impossible!”
Francoeur quickly put a notice on the local SPCA site for missing animals, and on other social media accounts. In tears, she explored her area, asking everyone she met whether they’d seen her dog. At one point, a police officer weighed in to help and typed out an official missing dog report.
She was starting to lose hope when her phone rang.
“Imagine, If those folks didn’t go to that pet store, I would have lost my dog forever,” Francoeur added.
She’s now filed a police report because she wants the couple to understand the consequences of their actions.
“I don’t want to give them troubles. We don’t know why they did it. But at the same time, they snatched my baby,” Francoeur added. “I want to discourage others from doing this.”
Gatineau police said they’re investigating, but would need to establish the couple willfully stole the dog, as opposed to discovering him, before filing charges.
The SPCA de L’Outaouais, where the couple had gone Vango that morning to register the dog with a new name, is using the event to warn dog owners to have their pet microchipped.
Francoeur said she’s set an appointment to get Vango microchipped.
“This all could have been prevented,” she claimed.

Dоg With Thе Scary Facе Finds A Family Whо Thinks Hе’s Pеrfеct
Murray and his three Weimaraner siblings were discovered by rescuers in 2013 on Dead Dog Beach, a notorious Puerto Rican beach where people dump their unwanted pets.
Murray and his siblings, who were only around 12 weeks old when they were rescued, began displaying indications of distemper, a devastating virus that destroys a dog’s neurological system.
“I was holding him on the exam table and petting him, and I felt a click in his jaw – that’s one of the indicators of distemper,” Christina Beckles, founder and president of The Sato Project, a Puerto Rican organization that rescues stray dogs, told The Dodo. “At that point, there is no therapy.” A dog may subsequently begin to experience seizures and suffer from brain damage.”
Beckles and the vet took the tough choice to put Murray down, believing it was the most humane thing to do. When the time came, though, the vet changed her mind.
“She carried him to the table, and he wagged his tail… and she couldn’t,” Beckles explained.
Murray, on the other hand, had a very tiny chance of survival – one of his sisters had already died from the condition.
According to Cathy Meeks, a board-certified veterinarian at BluePearl Veterinary Hospital in Tampa, Florida, 80 percent of pups that contract distemper die. Vaccination is the most effective strategy to avoid distemper. Murray and his siblings, however, had not had any immunizations since they had been stray.
Despite this, Murray improved with treatment, despite the fact that he still has certain health issues, including moderate seizures. His skull grew in an unusual form as a result of the distemper.
“Originally, his face was really symmetrical, and now… it’s sort of crooked,” Murray’s adoptive mother, Mackenzie Gallant, told The Dodo. “His skull is now quite flat on his head.”
Murray’s teeth deteriorated as well, and the majority of them had to be extracted, causing his tongue to dangle out of his mouth.
But none of this mattered to Gallant and her family, which included her mother Kristina, father Dennis, two younger brothers, Wesley and Eli, two rescue dogs, Pili and Fox, and their cat Daphne. They began fostering Murray in November 2013, and he was legally adopted the following month, right before Christmas.
“He’s my favorite dog,” remarked Gallant. “I adore him. Every night, he sleeps in my room.”
Gallant went home for college in 2016, but she still keeps in touch with Murray whenever she can. “It was difficult leaving all of my animals… but Murray is unique,” Gallant explained.
Gallant FaceTimes Murray on a daily basis, and Murray still sleeps in her bedroom.
“Even when I’m at school, he comes into my room – he still has a pillow and a blanket,” Gallant explained. “And he understands the words. You’ll say, ‘Murray, it’s bedtime,’ and he’ll dash up to my room.”
When Gallant is at home, she spends as much time as she can with Murray. One of her favorite activities is taking Murray, Pili, and Fox for long walks.
“He like going on walks,” Gallant added. “That is the highlight of the day for all three of our pets.” ‘Do you want to go for a walk?’ we ask. And they all take off sprinting. Murray will start howling if one of my dogs starts howling.”
“He’s prospering, and he’s just happy all the time,” Gallant continued. “He adores all dogs and all humans.”
Four years have passed since Murray’s rescue, but Beckles recalls him fondly — and she’s overjoyed that Murray got the ideal home.
“This dog appears different from the others,” Beckles observed. “But he isn’t – he still enjoys going for walks and hiking.” He is not treated any differently than the other dogs.”
“From the beginning, Kristina [Mackenzie’s mother] and her family have been great,” Beckles added. “I couldn’t have asked for a better place for him.”

Panicked dog comes at night to his mother and begs her to follow him
The Brussos got their dog, Duke, from an orphanage in Portland, Connecticut. Duke is not content with life at the orphanage, but eventually becomes the ideal companion for his family.
Six years later, Duke shows his thanks to Brusso in the most kind manner conceivable!
The family just welcomed their little daughter, Harper, and Duke instantly became quite protective of his sister.
One night, while the family slept quietly, Duke abruptly went into his parents’ room and leapt into their bed.
He was shivering uncontrollably, refusing to carry out any commands given to him. Finally, his mother noticed something was wrong.
Duke escorted his parents to the room of a nine-week-old newborn and alerted them to a youngster who wasn’t breathing at all.
Family hurried kid to emergency room, doctor saved Harper’s life at the last minute!
When Duke made sure his sister was breathing okay and she was doing great, he finally calmed down!
The family trembled at the notion of what may have occurred if Duke hadn’t recalled them in time. They are eternally thankful to their rescue child, who is entirely oblivious that he is a hero!
We hope Duke’s tale motivates more and more people to give these courageous and loving rescue dogs a chance!

Man Adopts Dog With Massive Tumor So He Can Feel Unconditional Love During His Final Days
After adopting a sick dog, an Argentine gave him the nicest parting present imaginable so that he may live out his final days with ‘unconditional love.’
Thanos, the unfortunate dog, was diagnosed with cancer, which swiftly spread to his head, resulting in the huge tumor seen in the images.
Thanos had previously been rejected by four different families because of his disease. Fortunately, wonderful samaritan Luciano Karosas welcomed the sad dog into his house during his final weeks of life.
Thanos had a cancerous tumour in his head.
Thanos, the dog who was known as Coconut before being adopted by 21-year-old Luciano, had a deadly tumor developing on his head and only had weeks to live before being taken in by the kindhearted guy.
Thanos, who had previously been known as Coconut before being adopted by the compassionate Argentinian, had just a few weeks to live due to a deadly tumor developing in his head.
He was only given a few weeks to live.
Thanos was living with a different family when he received the awful diagnosis, and when caring for him became too tough – after the sickness had progressed to his head – they felt they had no option but to give him up.
Thanos was later adopted by many other families, but they were confused by his illness and what it involved, so he was returned to an animal shelter, where he met his final partner Luciano.
Luciano wanted to provide him unconditional affection throughout his final days on Earth.
When the 21-year-old visited the shelter, he was affected by the dog’s poignant narrative and decided right then and there to take him in and provide him with the most loving final weeks imaginable. “I came out with a piece of my heart in my palm,” he told Portal Amigo Cao.
Luciano was determined to make Thanos’ final days memorable, and he felt responsible for the health and happiness of his new pet. At first, he refused to understand that there was nothing he could do, so he did everything he could to preserve the animal. In a last-ditch effort to save the dog’s life, the 21-year-old went him to a veterinarian in the hopes that they could rescue him.
He elaborated: “I found it difficult to adjust to the fact that we will spend so little time together. I went him to a stem cell veterinarian to see what we could do to offer him a little more hope (he had been given 40 days to live) and was informed that there is no treatment that will prolong that time.”
Luciano and Thanos decided to make the most of their time together because the news was disheartening and there was nothing more they could do.
He showered as much attention on the dog as he could, and Thanos looked to be happier than he had ever been in the short time he spent with Luciano, even playing and cuddling with him like any other dog.
Thanos, as feared, succumbed to the dreadful sickness and died a few time afterwards. His adopted owner and all-around nice samaratin wished him a ‘happy voyage’ on social media and said, ‘I will love you forever.’

Touching love Mother dog tries to push puppy out of cage to slaughterhouse causing fever
A young male singer just posted a picture of a mother dog attempting to force her kid out of an iron cage on his Facebook page with the caption:
“Carrying a baby while expecting to die in a cage (pregnant). Within the cage, this dog gave birth. He unsuccessfully attempted to push his infant from the unsettling cage.”
This picture received 1000 likes, hundreds of shares, and comments within an hour of being shared.
The picture is distressing because it shows the helplessness of a puppy that is just a few days old, born in a small cage, trying to poke its head out of the iron bars.
I stood beside the poor mother dog, unable to rescue the puppy as it desperately tried to escape the tiny cage. Viewers are moved to tears by the sight of the mother dog hunched down next to the puppy attempting to escape the cage.
Just picture the puppy without her mother’s milk and how awful it must be for the mother to watch her red baby grow up and ready to pass away. A young being has only just begun to exist, so why was his birthplace so difficult?
Many people are upset by the sight of a newborn dog with closed eyes on the “death” vehicle. Several people who adore dogs but oppose eating dog meat have expressed their frustration:
“I don’t get why Asian societies have always consumed dog meat. Allow the dogs to live in safety and love.”
Many people believe that eating dog meat is something that should be condemned, stating that “I desire that humans not consume the meat of close and friendly animals too often, but replace them with the meat of creatures that grow fast and are difficult to control in terms of health.” quantity.
I sincerely hope the dog drivers change their ways and release these pitiful critters.

Every day, stray dog acts as a crossing guard and protects little children crossing the street
Here is a dog that became a hero to pedestrians in a Georgian city. Dogs are considered our most loyal companions, a quality that earned them the well-deserved title of man’s best friend.
These special creatures are our stress relievers; they make us laugh with their silliness, but they are also ready to protect us whenever they need to. Indeed, no other animal can love humans like a dog can.
This canine in Georgia is just like your regular dog, except that he plays a unique role in his community – the crossing guard.
This stray neighborhood pup named Kupata has appointed himself as a personal guide to pedestrians crossing this busy street in Batumi, Georgia.
One morning, Beqa Tsinadze caught Kupata in action. In the video, a group of kindergartners accompanied by two adults can be seen standing in the marked crosswalk.
They were waiting for cars to yield so they could safely walk to the other side, but none of the drivers were kind enough to let them through.
They waited and waited along with their chaperone; however, it seemed like none of the motorists were paying them any attention.
Kupata the dog wasn’t one to wait. He sprung right into action and fiercely barked at the oncoming vehicles; it was as if he was scolding them for having no road manners!
The dog handled the situation like a pro. As he barked at the cars, they stopped and gave way to the group of pedestrians.
Kupata didn’t stop there; once they were all crossing, he positioned himself in front of the line and led them to the other side of the road. What a thoughtful pup!
As it turns out, this wasn’t a one-time incident. Beqa shared another video of Kupata stopping traffic and escorting yet another group of kindergartners across the street.
As the kids were about to cross, Kupata chased and barked angrily at a black car that sped through the pedestrian lane.
Then, he circled right back and positioned himself once again in front of the children, making sure that they safely made it to the other side.
One impatient driver in a white van honked at the kids as they were crossing, and Kupata barked right back at him!
It’s unclear how the pup came to be this community’s crossing guard and a hero to many pedestrians; it was probably his way of showing gratitude to its people.
Kupata arrived there as a stray a few years ago, and members of the community have taken it upon themselves to care for him, according to Georgian media.
