Devotee avoids spiritual bluffs, pseudo spiritualists
…A Vaisnava like Prahlada Maharaja is not interested in such a bluff of
spiritual advancement. Rather, he is interested in enlightening people in
Krsna consciousness because that is the only way for them to become happy.
…The members of the Krsna consciousness movement are not at all interested
in so-called meditation in the Himalayas or the forest, where one will only
make a show of meditation, nor are they interested in opening many schools
for yoga and meditation in the cities. Rather, every member of the Krsna
consciousness movement is interested in going door to door to try to
convince people about the teachings of Bhagavad-gita As It Is, the teachings
of Lord Caitanya. That is the purpose of the Hare Krsna movement. The
members of the Krsna consciousness movement must be fully convinced that
without Krsna one cannot be happy. Thus the Krsna conscious person avoids
all kinds of pseudo spiritualists, transcendentalists, meditators, monists,
philosophers and philanthropists.

Don’t remain mudha, hear about Krsna
We should not remain mudha-drsa. We should follow the mahajanas and the
sadhus, sastra. And they recommend… The most important process is
sravanam. Srnvatam sva-kathah krsnah punya-sravana-kirtanah [SB 1.2.17]. If
we don’t hear about Krsna, then how we’ll make advance? We have to hear.

Dozing judge
When they speak like that, rascal, that irritates me. (laughter) Therefore I
simply call them rascal. [break] Harav abhaktasya kuto mahad-gunah. They are
claiming very, very, big man, but as soon as we see that he is not a devotee
of Krsna, we reject, “He is a foolish.” [break] There is… That is a fact,
one case was going on, and the judge was dozing, like that. So his clerk
warned, “You are dozing. Big, big lawyers, they are talking.” “So let these
rascals go on talking. I have already concluded my…, (laughter) what
judgment I shall give. Let them…” (laughs) So our is like that. We don’t
hear these rascals. Our judgment is already there. They are rascals. That’s
all. Let them talk whole day and night. The judge said to the clerk that “I
have already made my judgment, so let these foolish men go on talking.”

More Envious Than A Snake
It is said, sarpah krurah khalah krurah sarpat kruratarah khalah: “The snake
is very crooked and envious, and so also is a person like a demon.”
Mantrausadhi-vasah sarpah khalah kena nivaryate: “One can bring a snake
under control with mantras, herbs and drugs, but an envious and crooked
person cannot be brought under control by any means.”
