Women Shouldn’t Be Trusted
Question:
Srila Prabhupada sloka (selected verses) page no:442
Visvaso naiva kartavyah strisu raja-kulesu ca
One can never trust a politician or a women. (Chankya Pandit)
It is only info available in Purana and Srila Prabhupada's selected verses.
My point is due to what reason this thing is written in Purana and Chankya Pandit also written in his book nowadays all over India and world this verse is very famous. Visvaso naiva kartavyah strisu rajkulesu ca. Every one in India they know this verse of Chanakya Pandit including our foundar-acaraya Srila Prabhupada. So this instruction is only for one lady or in general or for all ladies?

Govardhana-lila: no need of other yajnas
Krsna stopped this Indra yajna, you know, Govardhana. When Nanda Maharaja
was arranging for Indra yajna, Krsna said: “My dear father, there is no need
of Indra yajna.” That means anyone who is Krsna conscious, for him, there is
no need of any yajna. Especially in this age, Kali-yuga, it is very
difficult to perform different kinds of yajna. That was possible in the
Treta-yuga. Krte yad dhyayato visnum tretayam yajato makhaih [SB 12.3.52].
Makhaih means yajna, performing yajna. Yajnarthe karmano ‘nyatra loko ‘yam
karma-bandhanah [Bg. 3.9]. So these formulas, these directions, nobody is
following. It is not possible in this age. Therefore the sastra injunction
is: yajnaih sankirtanair prayair yajanti hi sumedhasah. Those who have got
good brain substance, so instead of bothering with so many things, one
performs sankirtana-yajna. These are the statements in the sastra.
krsna-varnam tvisakrsnam
sangopangastra-parsadam
yajnaih sankirtanaih prayair
yajanti hi sumedhasah
[SB 11.5.32]
So here, in this room, especially, krsna-varnam tvisakrsnam, here is
Caitanya Mahaprabhu. He is Krsna Himself, but His complexion is akrsna, not
blackish. Krsna-varnam tvisa… Tvisa means by complexion. Akrsna.
Yellowish. Sangopangastra-parsadam. And He’s accompanied by His associates,
Nityananda Prabhu, Advaita Prabhu, srivasadi gaura-bhakta-vrnda. This is the
worshipable Deity in this age. Krsna-varnam tvisakrsna. So what is the
process of worship? Yajnaih sankirtanair prayair yajanti hi sumedhasah. This
sankirtana-yajna as we are performing before Lord Caitanya, Nityananda and
others, this is the perfect performance of yajna in this age. Otherwise, no
other… Therefore it is becoming successful. This is the only prescribed
yajna.
…there is no yajna in this age. There is no yajnic brahmana. This is the
only yajna: chant Hare Krsna mantra and dance in ecstasy. This is the only
yajna.

dog or king, the distress is the same
To take birth either as a dog or as a king, the distress is the same. There
is no difference because the dog has to keep itself within the womb of the
mother in an airtight condition for so many months, and the man, either he
is king or anything, he has also undergo that tribulation. There is no
excuse. Because you are taking birth in a king’s family, it does not mean
that to remain compact within the mother’s womb the distress is less, and
because he is taking birth in a dog’s mother’s womb, therefore his is great.
No. That is the same. Similarly, at the time of death, the distress… At
the time of death there is great distress.

Srila Prabhupada in cowherd boy mood
One day, while Prabhupada was sitting in his room receiving his massage, he
began talking and laughing. As he sat on the floor with one leg tucked under
his body and one leg outstretched before him, he told the two or three
devotees present how Krsna, carrying the lunch His mother had packed for
Him, would go to the forest with His cowherd boyfriends, who were also
carrying lunches from home. Krsna and His friends would all sit together
sharing their lunch, and Krsna always had the best laddus and kachauris.
Prabhupada’s eyes flashed, and he rubbed his hands together, smiling. “I
simply want to go to Krsnaloka, so I can have some of Krsna’s laddu and
kachauris. I do not have any great diversion from this. I simply want to go
there so that I can enjoy eating laddus and kachauris with Krsna and the
cowherd boys.” Opening his eyes widely, he glanced at Devananda, who was
massaging him, and at the others in the room. “Oh,” he said to them, “if you
will give me laddus and kachauris, then I will bless you.”

Krsna the beggar
He is so opulent that He has no hankering. Complete. Sad-aisvarya purnah. He
is complete with full six opulences. He is the richest, He is the wisest, He
is the most famous, He is the most strong, influential, and renounced order.
Everything is complete there. Then why He is asking that patram puspam
phalam toyam yo me bhaktya prayacchati? He is so rich, so opulent, still He
is begging that “Little flower, a little water, a little fruit, if offered
to Me with devotion and love, I accept and eat it.” So the real fact is that
we have lost our devotion, faith, in God. So He is begging therefore that
love and faith. Not your money. Because He is already opulent. What you can
give Him? And what belongs to you? Nothing belongs to you. You come from the
womb of your mother openhanded, and when you die you go openhanded. So what
does it belong to you? Nothing belongs to you. That’s a fact. Simply by
illusion, you come here for some days and you think, “This is mine.” That’s
all. This is called maya. Actually, nothing belongs to you. Everything
belongs to God, or Krsna. But you claim that it belongs to you. That is your
maya. Therefore here it is said, manam janad avidusah karuno vrnite. Out of
His causeless mercy He begs sometimes, “Give Me this.” Just like sometimes
father asks his child, “My dear boy, will you kindly give me a little cake
from your portion?” And if the child is very fond of her (him), immediately
gives. And sometimes he refuses, “No, I shall not give it.” Similarly, Krsna
is full. Why He’s begging? He’s begging your love. That’s all. Whenever
Krsna wants some service from you or begs something from you, it does not
mean that He is in need of it. He is not in need of it. But He is in need of
your love because you have forgotten how to love God, how to love Krsna.
That he is practiced(?).
There is a story that some sannyasi went to a householder, because a
sannyasi goes to householder for begging. They are begging also like that.
They are not beggars, but they introduce as beggar so that the householder
may receive and take some advantage of his knowledge. He is not beggar. So
one beggar went to a householder, and the housewife said, “Oh, this beggar
has come from door to door. Give him some ashes.” So the sannyasi replied,
“All right. Give me some ashes. Just begin your charity.” Just begin your
charity. So similarly, Krsna, when He wants, “Give Me a little flower, a
little fruit, a little water,” it does not mean that He is begging. He is
just inducing me to the practice of offering everything which belongs to
Krsna.

quality, not quantity
Priest: …that “I am an avatara” or “I am Guru Maharaj-ji” or “I am,” so to
say, “Meher Baba or Satya Sai Baba,” so many babas exist, you know as well
as I do. Now, who has to say this one is really baba. They are all abusing
us. Now, if so many people today pretends to be avatara and they have many
disciples.
Prabhupada: But we don’t believe them.
Priest: No, but they have many disciples.
Prabhupada: Many disciples, that is another thing.
Priest: Millions.
Prabhupada: Millions, trillions, that is another thing. But we have to see
what is the disciple. That we have to see. Simply if somebody… So many
disciples by number, we have to see the quality. What is the quality, not
the number, not the quantity.
Priest: And if I had said that…
Prabhupada: It is stated in the Bhagavad-gita,
manusyanam sahasresu
kascid yatati siddhaye
yatatam api siddhanam
kascin vetti mam tattvatah
[Bg. 7.3]
Krsna does not say that “millions and millions of people know Me.” No. Out
of millions and millions of people, one is perfect. And out of millions of
perfect person, one may know Him. That He says. So we cannot accept because
one is accepted by millions, therefore he is God. We don’t accept it.
Priest: That’s right.
Prabhupada: We want to see the quality, not the quantity. So our process is
parampara. Just like in India — you have been in India — there are
acaryas: Ramanujacarya, Madhvacarya, Nimbarka, Visnu Svami, Caitanya. If the
acarya accept, then we accept. This is our process. We don’t go the
millions; we see the quality. Ramanujacarya, high quality devotee;
Madhvacarya, high quality devotee; Caitanya, high quality devotee. If they
say he is God, then we accept. This is our process. We don’t see how many
millions of followers. No. We want to see the quality man. He says yes. So
Sankaracarya says “Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead,” Ramanujacarya

Caitanya says “Supreme,” then we accept. That’s all.

Do not mix with serpent Mayavadis
Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura warns all devotees engaged in
broadcasting the Krsna consciousness movement not to speak to the
impersonalist Mayavadis who are always determined to oppose such theistic
movements. The world is full of Mayavadis and atheists, and the political
parties of the world take advantage of Mayavada and other atheistic
philosophies to promote materialism. Sometimes they even back a strong party
to oppose the Krsna consciousness movement. The Mayavadis and other atheists
do not want the Krsna consciousness movement to develop because it educates
people in God consciousness. Such is the policy of the atheists. There is no
benefit in feeding a snake milk and bananas because the snake will never be
satisfied. On the contrary, by taking milk and bananas the snake simply
becomes more poisonous (kevalam visa-vardhanam). If a snake is given milk to
drink, its poison simply increases. For a similar reason, we should not
disclose our minds to the serpent Mayavadis and karmis. Such disclosures
will never help. It is best to avoid association with them completely and
never ask them about anything confidential because they cannot give good
advice. Nor should we extend invitations to Mayavadis and atheists nor
accept their invitations, for by such intimate intermingling we may become
affected by their atheistic mentality (sangat sanjayate kamah).

Demigods become grass
Once in Brooklyn, Srila Prabhupada pointed to a clump of grass growing from
the cracks of the sidewalk. “Just see,” he began, pointing with his cane.
“No one has come here to plant this grass. Then how did it get here?”
Looking around at the large group of devotees following him, he answered his
own question, “It is because demigods have fallen down here. They have come
through the rain.” (Told by Patita-pavana Dasa)
NB Srila Prabhupada writes:
The Chandogya Upanisad describes the Vedic sacrificial process. On the
sacrificial altar, five kinds of offerings are made into five kinds of fire.
The five kinds of fire are conceived of as the heavenly planets, clouds, the
earth, man and woman, and the five kinds of sacrificial offerings are faith,
the enjoyer on the moon, rain, grains and semen.
In the process of sacrifice, the living entity makes specific sacrifices to
attain specific heavenly planets and consequently reaches them. When the
merit of sacrifice is exhausted, the living entity descends to earth in the
form of rain, then takes on the form of grains, and the grains are eaten by
man and transformed into semen, which impregnates a woman, and thus the
living entity once again attains the human form to perform sacrifice and so
repeat the same cycle.
