Audio Stories Are Coming Back!

Hi there. Its been a long two weeks since I last posted. I  was laid off, then ran around town with my resume for a week while I was pulling my hair out frustration. Then somehow landed a new job just this week. So now that my life is a little stable again, I'm giving out some updates about what is going on.

So what has has been happening. Mostly in the last couple weeks I have been jotting down a dark short story in a notebook called Olly and Molly, and sketching out a book cover for The Broken Princess. But this morning, I woke up with a day off and no pressure to hunt down a job so I thought I would something constructive and figure out the audio story situation. I edited and relaunched my patreon page and reuploaded the first eight parts of The Island so that it will have an proper outro. Note that they are still original rough recordings though. No new recordings with the new better Yeti microphone are done until part 9 of the Island. So it will sound better soon. The next part of that story will be posted next sunday.

Beyond that, I am about to start the final edits for The Broken Princess. The audio verison of Lonesome Town is half done. So those should be coming sometime soon.

Also I have been behind on sharing book reviews from my book review blog, For the last few weeks, the following was posted.

Flying Pigs and Witches

So this has been an interesting week to say the least. My fears about being laid off came true. And I been trying really hard to figure things out. And I will figure something out. I always do. And despite the frustration, I did have more time on my hands, and I decided drift off of my current book blueprint to put together a meaty short stoy collection. This includes the eight standalone short stories that have been revised and reviewed as they were shuffled to Kindle Unlimited. This replaces the old two anthologies I had published before (and are now unpublished) and has more stories in a single book. Its called Flying Pigs and Witches. the synopsis is down below.

A woman finds a fallen science uptopia carries dark secrects as she searches for her husband. A gunslinging Alice is looking for a way out of a dark Wonderland. A cashier must take the late shift in a haunted retail store Siblings encounter an evil witch in the woods. A teenager learns his uncle is a wizard. A little girl races into another world to get back her favorite socks. A runaway becomes cursed and must find a way to stop it before she loses all her memory. An isolated teen falls in love with a odd girl who fears water. This is a collection of eight short stories that stretch across the genres horror, fantasy, and science fiction.

This collection includes:
-The Island
-Late Shift at Pennies
-Socks and Fluffle Puffs
-Somewhere Beyond the Sea
-My Name Is...
-Alice: Winter's Story
-Secrets of Charles Mahogony
-Vanity

It can be found at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KREO7C0 It is free with Kindle Unlimited and $3.99 for purchase.

With that said, this is all I have to share this week. I hope to have some new stuff soon. But my whole schedule is going to change in the future. So who knows how soon the next new thing is coming out. I'll update you all as things develop.

Have a great week everyone!

The Last Witch: The Battle of Minerva is Now Published

Hey there everyone. I wanted to update everyone the new news. The Last Witch Story 3: The Battle of Minerva is now published. And I apologize for taking so long to get it done. The biggest hangup was sketching out and finalizing a book cover. I went through so many drafts and nothing seemed right. And what I ended up with does not seem right either. Hopefully in the future there will be an artistic spark and it will be replaced with something great. But after nearly a month of struggling to get a cover worth while, I thought I would just say good enough, and get the story out there.

Anyways, it is available ine book at Amazon for $.99 or free with Kindle Unlimited. The synopsis is down below.

After months of travling, Brian and Fran finally have found a safe place. The small town of Balem welcomes them with open arms. They once again begin to live a normal life and Brian begins to search for a cure to his magic infection. All seems well until King Talus sends an army out to arrest the two of them for treason and to retrieve a package that they refused to deliver. The town church says they will protect the father and son, as long as they stay within Balem. But nothing can ever be simple. Soon Brian, his father, and his new friends find themselves fighting for their lives.

It is available at  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TN4CNPQ

After this, the pentultimate story in this series is The Broken Princess. I think that will be edited next. I did want to sneak in publishing Meteor City or another Alice Story sometime in the future, but they are just as long. Also the audio projects are coming along. Rendering them with a new softward takes forever though. When is all this new stuff going to come? I can't really tell you at the moment. Right now its wait and see, And why I say wait and see, is because my job may be falling apart. I currently work at an environmental consulting agency that is falling on some hard times and I am expecting to be laid off. And my need to find another job to pay my bills will over power my hobby of writing, ebooks, audio stories and what not. So I am praying for a miracle when I walk into the work meeting monday afternoon. But it will be what it will, and you will be updated on if it will be a longer than usual time to get some new stuff out there.

With that said I hope you have a great week. And if you're from the USA, I hope you have a great 4th of July.

A New Progress Report on Everything

Hi everyone. This post is really late. It should have been posted here late sunday night to go along side with my other blog. But this week has been crazy, and I apologize for getting this up on Goodreads so late. Now onto the blog post.

.....................................................................................

Hi everyone. I wanted to update all of you on the works in progress. There's basically three things going on right.

First, the short story Late Shift at Pennies has just went through revisions and was recorded in the audio story format. So now it is in the process of being shuffled to Kindle Unlimited. Right now, it is in the process of being removed from Smashword distribution package. And once it is removed it will officially be part of Kindle Unlimited. That should happen in the week.

Second, the third short story in The Last Witch series called Battle of Minerva is closer to be published. I just finished sketching a book cover, and am going to scan it in start polishing it into something nice this upcoming week. And the story itself is partway through the the final round of editing.

Lastly, the audio story project is about to kick off again. I have a few stories recorded and I am trying to now get it all rendered for Youtube whoch is very time consuming. I'm going to re upload The Island first since it is an Amazon exclusive now and it has to be found at a new store front.. But this is the original recording. It was the only audio story that survived last year's CPU melt down. (Well mostly. The ending was lost.) This is the first one I did, where I was fighting a cheap microphone and trying to figure out how to do it all. So this recording is rough, except for the re recorded ending. All the following stories is recorded with more professional equipment. But The Island is what will be posted first, along with the ending,

So that is what is going on. A lot of things are being worked on, but are just not prepped for the wilds of the internet yet. Hopefully there will be more exciting stuff soon. Have a great weeked everyone!

Alice: Winter's Story is Now Kindle Unlimited and Other Updates

Hello everyone. I wanted to update all of you about what is going on. So lets get started.

First of all, the dark fantasy western, Alice: Winter's Story has just officially shuffled over to Kindle Unlimited and is now a Kindle Exclusive.  So if you use Kindle Unlimited, you can read it for free. I hope you enjoy that. And I will post synopsis and link down below if you want to learn more about it.

The world of Wonderland has been broken for two decades. The looking glasses are broken. The red queen has taken a tyrannical reign over the land. And every Alice who stumbles into Wonderland is trapped there with no way home. This story follows Alice Winters as she travels through west to through Checkerboard Desert searching for the fabled key to unlock the original mirror to go home. But the desert is one of the roughest places of Wonderland. Cut throats are at every turn. Bounty hunters want to deliver her head to the queen and the monsters of Wonderland stand in the way of her mission.

Find it in the Amazon Story @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KRF9KWQ
Free if you have Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Only $.99 if you purchase it.

Also, another short is about to arrive to Kindle Unlimited as well. It's the short, My Name Is.... It follows a runaway teenager who is cursed as by a witch, and must find a cure before she loses all of her memories. Right now, I am waiting on it to be removed from other online retailers to be part of the Kindle Unlimited program. So it won't be enrolled until next week. I can’t say when exactly next week. It will be enrolled on Monday by the earliest. Most likely it will be enrolled by midweek though. I will certainly post the news on Twitter when it happens, and it will be announced more formally in the next blog once it’s officially enrolled and out for people to read.

As far as new stuff goes, the short Socks and Fluffle Puffs (formally called socks and Huffle Puffs. The name had to be changed for obvious reasons) has just finished its second round of editing. It's about to go into the final round of polishing with the read out loud audio story editing process I've been using over last year.  Which has been working well for me by the way. The cover is sketched out in my art book, so it is close to done. And it shouldn't take too long to finish. It’s a cutesy little sweet tale about a seven year old who travels through a dryer to save her socks from living dandelion puffs. It’s much more kid friendly than anything I ever done, so I have no idea how well it will do. So I hope someone enjoys it.

After Socks and Fluffle Puffs, I'm returning back to the next story in The Last Witch series called The Battle of Minerva. And that will be next new publication out. I was planning that at some point between the last three stories in The Last Witch series, to work on and post, a scifi horror called Meteor City. But I am not sure yet where that will fit in because it is a bit long for a short. Along with that I do have a little bit of back library of recorded audio stories again. So I am planning on figuring out how to go about that again. I’m not sure if I can guarantee a weekly schedule and I have to find a new video maker (Windows movie maker I used before has been discontinued) to get the stuff on Youtube, and I have to make my Patreon active again. I'll give more updates, once I figure things out.

Oh and also, I'm always behind on sharing my book review blog. So I will post the most recent reviews down below.

Locke & Key Vol 6: Alpha and Omega by Joe Hill

And that is all I have for this week and more stuff should be coming soon. I hope you enjoy whats here, and I hope you have a great week!

Old Hobbs is on Kindle!

Hi there everyone! This is going to be a very small blog post this time around. That is because this week, not only was the second short in The Last Witch series, Old Hobbs is not only published, but is also in the Kindle unlimited program. The book synopsis is down below.

Finally father and son, Fran and Brian, make it out of the monster infested Badlands. The father came out battered and bruised. The son came out infected with magic. The two desire nothing more than to see civilization once again after such a long journey, and are glad when they stumble across the small town of Old Hobbs. But Old Hobbs is a downtrodden little town full of sickly folk who have sinister and selfish intentions for the witch who just stumbled into town.

Available in ebook for $99, or free for Kindle Unlimited members on Amazon.
Find it at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q4KL9T9

And that is what I have for this week. I actually did not get much else done. I m not sure if what's about to be published next. I have not started the final round of editing on third story in The Last Witch series. But I have partially edited a cute little side short called Socks and Hufflepuffs. Taking into consideration my scatterbrained nature of getting things done, I will not state what one will be published next. But it will be one of those two.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy what's here. And have a great week!

Old Hobbs is Almost Published

Holy wow! It has been a while every one. I know it have been only a couple weeks but it really feels like six months. With the snow melt, my work schedule has become super busy. And along with that my car got sick, my cat got sick,  and I got sick. So I have been running to vets and car shops. So I have not had much time for working on my stories because I haven't had much free time at all. If I did, Old Hobbs would most definitely be published by now. But despite my slow progress, I wanted to update you all anyways.

First of all,  Hollows  and A Fairy's have been placed on Kindle Unlimited. So you can read them there for free if your a member.

Seventy percent of  Alice: Winter's story is recorded as an audio story. Once that is done, it will make its way to Kindle Unlimited.

The second short story in The Last Witch series, Old Hobbs is completely done. The cover was finished just a couple days ago and right now the story is under review for publication over at Amazon. So it will should be completely publish very soon.

And then I have been jotting down a story  in notebook here and there. Its a traditional little fantasies with dragons. Nothing ground breaking really., Its just kind of a fun simple story. But my brain has been so fried lately, that I'm not sure if I could write anything  all that layered in the last couple of weeks.

Also, I have been the worst at sharing my book review blogs outside my twitter feed. So I will catch up the last few weeks and share it here as well.  Here's the list down below. Hope you enjoy.

Desert Rising by Kelley Grant
https://hubpages.com/literature/Deser...

Easy Go by Micheal Crichton
https://hubpages.com/literature/Easy-...

Summer Knight by Jim Butcher
https://owlcation.com/humanities/Summ...

Locke and Key Vol. 4: Keys to the Kingdom
https://hubpages.com/literature/Locke...

Ants of Flanders by Robert Reed
https://hubpages.com/literature/Ants-...

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
https://hubpages.com/literature/Dark-...

Locke and Key Vol. 5: Clockworks by Joe Hill
https://hubpages.com/literature/Locke...

Overall, that is all I have. Looks like my schedule is going to slowing down again. Having a balanced schedule is great. You never know how great it is until you don't have it. And once it balances out, I will have some really great stuff to share.

Stories Now On Kindle Unlimited

Hi everyone. I wanted to send out another update because a lot of stuff is going on. So let's get going. Two nights ago, I just got through editing the final draft of The Last Witch Story 2: Old Hobbs. It is very close to publication. I have cover art drawn out in a sketch book as well. Later on this week, I will head over to friend's place to scan it into the computer to finish it up in photo shop. This is because my printer/scanner is broken right now.  Once that it all finished up, it will be thrown out in the wilds of Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.

During all this, a cute little short that has been sitting on my desktop called Socks and Huffle Puffs was posted on my favorite writing community Scribophile. I wasn't sure about what to do with this silly little piece of fluff, so I wanted to know what people thought about it. And the reviews so far have been mostly positive. I am surprised by that. So it may be a little side short story project that can be worked into a polished finished product.

Then lastly I wanted to give an update on my adventure into the great Amazon shuffle. So far, the stories being changed to an Amazon exclusive and Kindle Unlimted are stories I have revised through using the audio story editing process. This includes the following:

1) The Secrets of Charles Mahogany

Adam has always been unlucky. A young man who became an orphan at the age of fifteen. A fire took his family from him and forced him to live under the care of his uncle Charles Mahogany. Mahogany is  a self absorbed old man who is regarded as one of the world's greatest magicians. On arrival, Adam is warned and is given the strict rules of the house hold.  Yet as Adam is trapped within this newly adjusted dull life, curiosity gets the better of him. So he decides to break the rules and travel into the forbidden areas of the mansion. As he does   so, he discovers the secrets that the old man is hiding. Extraordinary secrets that Adam can not leave alone.

$.99 at Amazon or Free on Kindle Unlimted at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014SB9FDO

2) Vanity

Two siblings, Liz and Denny are on a long drive home from college. But when they take a short cut on the back roads through the woods, they have an unexpected accident. With the car damaged, they find themselves on foot walking through the woods. To their surprise, they stumble across a enormous mansion in the middle of the woods. Despite the oddity of it being there, they rush to the door in hopes to find warmth, shelter, and a working phone to call for help. Yet as they enter, the place is far from welcoming, and the secrets the residents hold may kill them two of them before the night is over with.

3) The Island

In the middle of the second world war, scientists start vanishing all over the world. When Lily's husband is snatched away, she teams up with her brother in law to unravel what is happening to all the world's geniuses. After a year of traveling the world looking for clues, they are led to a mystery island in the eye of a never  ending storm. A place that holds more danger than they ever expected. The city holds technology that defies laws of nature, and the odd residence there hold a negative view of outsiders. Lily and Edward must work together to find their lost family member in the twisted world before them.

4) Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Davey has been trapped on a rock of an island his entire life building a glass castle with his father for the king. He feels as though he is prisoner with no contact with the world beyond the island. Then one day during a storm, an odd yet captivating girl washes up on shore. She says she's from somewhere beyond the sea, but Davey's new friend is full of more mysteries than he ever expected.

5) The Last Witch: The Damn Road

Nations are at war, and nowhere is safe. When the king requests Brian and his father to deliver a package across country, they must take the safest route. To stay out of the way of the battles, they decide to travel down the "Damn Road" through the Badlands. The Badlands is a decrepit region haunted by terrifying tales.
