The Third Halloween Promotion: Vanity is FREE!
Hey everyone! Its another round of updates and news. In the last week, I have been working hard, mainly on The Midnight Special: To Hell & Back, and Alice: Khoza's Tale. And I am pleased to say, I finished up a second draft of Alice and posted it on Scribophile to see if I receive better critiques this time around. The reception last month was surprisingly mixed and I want to try to fix the issues people had with it. And with this second round of reviews, I should be able finalize everything in the next month or so. Beyond that, I am a third of the way through the revision of To Hell and Back. Hopefully I will be able to finish that up in this next week or so with Alice awaiting critiques at the moment.
Beyond that, what else is there? Well I want to continue the Halloween promotion deals. And this upcoming week I decided make Vanity Free. I will post the synopsis down below.
Two siblings, Liz and Denny are on a long drive home from college. But when they take a short cut on the back roads through the woods, they have an unexpected accident. With the car damaged, they find themselves on foot walking through the woods. To their surprise, they stumble across a enormous mansion in the middle of the woods. Despite the oddity of it being there, they rush to the door in hopes to find warmth, shelter, and a working phone to call for help. Yet as they enter, the place is far from welcoming, and the secrets the residents hold may kill them two of them before the night is over.
It will be FREE on Kindle from October 21st to October 25th. You can find it at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014VTP4QK
And I am still doing the audio story thing. And part 2 of The Midnight Special: Murder at Blue Bayou is up.

The Second Halloween Deal: Meteor City is Free!
Hey everyone, I'm back with another blog post of updates and fun stuff. I'm still working hard on editing Alice: Khoza's Tale and revising The Midnight Special: To Hell and Back for Kindle Unlimited. Both are a long ways off from being done at the moment. But I did finish up the new covers for Alice and Midnight Special. I was sick this past week, and its a lot easier to sketch, draw, and paint on photoshop than to actually go through critic notes, edit and fix plot holes. The later tasks forces me to use my brain which is really hard to do when I'm not feeling well. They can be seen on my Pinterest profile under the accordingly titled sketch albums at https://www.pinterest.com/ProjectStor...
But enough of all the works in progress. What is new? Well I am continuing the Halloween promotions on my scarier stuff. And last week Amazon had a technical error, and would not allow me to put my scifi horror short Meteor City. But this week it appears to be fixed. So I am putting it on a Free promotion this week. I'll post the synopsis below.
Decades ago, a meteor shower hit a metropolis shattering homes and lives of many. With the meteors, the storm also brought a deadly disease that tortures and mutate those infected. As it spread, the walls were put up around the city to quarantine it from the rest of the world. And as the years went on the city, now known as Meteor City, was ignored and willfully forgotten by the United States. But it somehow continued to thrive.
This will be FREE on Kindle from October 14th to October 18th. The Free copy can be claimed at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CKB5GL7
Also I found out the technical error in my audio software and have been able to start rendering the audio stories again. So here is the first part of The Midnight Special: Murder at Blue Bayou. You can find it at the link below.

The First Halloween Deal: Late Shift At Pennies Is Free This Week!
So its the first week of October, and the month of Halloween. And since I started shifting my work to Kindle exclusively, I have been able to run promotions through Kindle Unlimited. And seeing how its the scariest month of the year, it would be a crime to not run promotions on my scariest stuff. And more than anything, I really wanted to run a promotion on Meteor City this first week. The horror scifi tale has gore, body horror, mutations, and cannibalism. It follows a journalist who is trying to make a living in a quarantined city. It seemed like a perfect way to start off promotions and discounts for the Halloween season. And Amazon won't let me do it. Its some kind of error on Amazon's end. They have to have someone manually slightly adjust the page count before I could put I could make it free for a Halloween special. I really do hope they figure it out and I can run a promotion before the scary season is over.
So instead I'm starting off this spooky month, by putting the ghost story Late Shift at Pennies on a promotion. It will be Free from Wednesday to Saturday. I'll post the synopsis below.
It is no mystery that the Pennies retail story is haunted. Ghosts act as pests for all employees of the store. Their harmless activity tends to intensify toward midnight which is know to most as witching hour. People have grown used to the ghosts and accepted them as another common everyday thing. But an unlucky Pennies employee named Ian is about to discover the ghost's true motives.
The ebook will be Free at Amazon from October 7th to October 11th. Find it at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C7X0IKY
And that is the promotion this week. I hope to set up some more promotions for my scarier stuff throughout October. And hopefully Meteor City will be one of those in the near future. I hope you all are having a good week. Will be blogging again soon.

Updates on the Works in Progress
Hello there everyone. I have been a couple weeks since there's been any updates. But just because there is silence on my end doesn't mean I haven't been working on something.
At Scribophile, I got a flood of reviews on the next to be published story Alice: Khoza's Tale and the reviews have been mixed. And it is clear at this point, I need to rework a few things and the tale needs a lot of editing. So it's going to take a longer to get out. I'm thinking its going to be a a least couple months at this point I don't start finalizing things until people are actually showing interest and find enjoyment in the earlier drafts.
Beyond that the short story, The Midnight Special: To Hell and Back, is going through the audio revision and it will be the next short to be shuffled over to Kindle Unlimited. This is a seventy page short story, and this revision process is a long process, so it will be a while before the Kindle Unlimited version is ready. Also the I want to sketch and build a new cover for that story. The current book cover is pretty darn awful. But it is coming.
As far as audio stories go, there is an error with my software, and everything is becoming distorted when its being rendered for Youtube. I hoped to figure it out over this past week. But this has been a week of errands and with the time I had, I decided to focus on editing Alice: Khoza's Tale. But I hope to figure it out soon. Audio stories will come back. They are just temporarily on pause at the moment.
Also because its October, I wanted to start this first week of the month with promotions on my scarier stuff I have on Kindle Unlimited. But for some reason my KDP dashboard is not loading correctly, so I can not set up any promotions this morning. So hopefully, later on this week Amazon will get their author resources worked out, and I will be setting up a promotion on a scary story in the next couple of days.
And that is what I have to share for now. I'll blog again when I have more to share. I hope you all have a great week.

And that is what I have this week. Any new stuff at this point is a ways off. The next short to be revised for Kindle Unlimited is quite long, and I'm still waiting for critiques for Alice: Khoza's Tale from my writing community to start the editing process. I might try to put together a new promotion in the meantime. I'll let you all know if that happens. I'll blog again when I have something to share. Have a great week everyone!

On The Air Is Going To Be Free This Week
Hey everyone! Its another update blog. Its not all that exciting this week. Mostly because in the past week, I mostly been sketching and building book covers. I came up with a new draft for On The Air, because I just really hate that old cover. Like a lot of the covers for those older short stories, it was a slightly altered sketch I did during one the more boring lectures at college. So this new one is hopefully more appealing. Also I started work on new Alice Story cover. I recently created a new Pinterest account so people can see the art work in progress at https://www.pinterest.com/ProjectStor... So you can check that out if you want to.
Also I am a third of the way through revising Trudy Dallas short story. It may be shuffled to Kindle Unlimited by the end of next week if all goes well. It also might get a slight name change. Because I actually do have a couple other Trudy Dallas stories I would like to share in the future, I wanted to avoid confusion when other stories as released. So instead of Trudy Dallas & The Walking Dead, it might have a sub title as well.
But the big announcement is that I wanted to run a free story promotion this week. This week it will on the alien invasion story On the Air. Check out the synopsis below.
The day started just as normal as an other for both Mike and Sacheana. The two start the day at their daily jobs as hosts of the radio show "On The Air." Things become strange when callers start asking about odd lights and monsters in the sky. Baffled by what they are hearing, the hosts piece together what's going on, as they have no idea of what they are about to confront what is right outside their door.
This week it will be FREE from September 15th to September 19th @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014VWCCH6
And also, just like I said in the blog, the audio story project is continuing despite the fact no one is listening to them. After all, this is a by product of revisions. So its not like I'm pouring hard work, blood, sweat, and tears into this. But because they exist, I might as well share them for the time being. This week it's the first half of In The Land of Gods. I will post the link below.

An Update About What Is In The Works
Hey there everyone, just wanted give you all an update about what is going on. Basically this week, it has been a lot of brainstorming more than anything else. I did a long overdue midyear assessment of how far I have come Project Stories to understand what is working and what is not. And it’s been interesting. The Kindle Unlimited idea seems to be working because now people can read these $.99 stories for free. Also grouping these shorts into anthologies works as well. Within the last year more people have been looking at Meteor & Monsters, and Flying Pigs & Witches. It’s an itty bitty audience. But where I had no audience before, it’s nice to see a rise in numbers. Also oddly enough, despite the pandemic, horror has been getting the most attention overall. This takes me by total surprise, as I have been avoiding horror after releasing Meteor City because it was so hard to work on for me personally, when the world is going so wrong. But for some reason that’s what people might want, because the fantasies are left untouched. And one last thing I noticed, which is unfortunate, is that the audio stories are ultimately a failed experiment. The statistics state totally listening time among hours’ worth of storytelling is only thirty seconds total. Twitter and Patreon did little for visibility, and because there was little visibility it did little for raising awareness of the written work.
But what is going to happen now? For the next new works to be published, the focus is going to be on a new Alice short, and the apocalyptic tale All The Good Times in Boston. The long gestating in Finding Elodie is also being edited off and on.
As far as audio revision edits goes, I’ll be focusing on Trudy Dallas & the Walking Dead. That should be the next tale to shuffle to Kindle Unlimited. Also I am beginning to revise Warped for Kindle Unlimited. I’m also considering revising a horror short book called Wrong Turn at Albuquerque. I’m considering editing this by myself with the audio revision attempt to finalize this book, instead of using my typical writing community because it’s one of the darkest thing I ever wrote. I’m a little afraid it might get me kicked out of the community if I share this. As I look into editing the horror tale a little more, I will be more certain that about how I will go about editing this.
As far as the audio stories go, they will continue as is. After all these audio projects are just a byproduct of the finalization process. The final edit for any project is reading it out loud and it takes very little effort to hit the record button. But I feel that these, well at least the newer ones could be put to better use. I’m thinking about maybe taking one of the better recordings, clean it up, and polish it with sound effects and music. Then maybe see what it takes to share a really polished one on Audible, or some other audio book market place. It’s an experiment I’m really considering at the moment. And speaking of which there won’t be an audio story chunk this Sunday. I’m going be tied up with somethings that suddenly came up. So I apologize for that.
And that is what I have to share this week. I hope to have some new stuff soon. Hope you all have a great week!

Ordinary World is Out!
Hey there everyone. I have some good news. Earlier this week I published the fantasy short story Ordinary World on Kindle. I'll post the synopsis down below,
Mya and Malcom have a very unique profession. They dive in and out of heads of various clients to remove phobias and mental illnesses. But when they attempt to pull off a tough job, Malcom's consciousness becomes trapped inside the mind of a mental patient and Mya has no idea of how to get her husband back. It seemed hopeless and he was destined to waste away in someone else's head. Then a rich man shows up on her door step. He claims he has a way to save her husband and will do so, if she will help cure his granddaughter.
This ebook is $.99 for purchase. Free on Kindle Unlimited.
It is available at amazon.com/dp/B08GS44H1J
With this out of the way, I now can't say what will be coming next in publication. The next story on the editing block will be either All the Good Times in Boston or a new Alice story. Both are very long short stories. From 50 to 70 pages long. So it will be a couple months at least before those come out. I will continue revising short stories with my audio method as well. I am beginning to run out of already released shorts, so I am going to also going to throw some previously published books in the mix.
As the short story supply begins to dwindle, I will finally begin diving back into revising Warped. Almost two years again, I began revising it. And as I started to I revise it, I realized that my six-teen year old writing style is a bit juvenile. I self published a bunch of stuff the moment I turned eight-teen and am now cleaning up that mess. I pulled it off sale because I was a little embarrassed by it almost two years ago and intended to post it again once its revised. Then my hard drive crashed, I wasn't backed up and I lost a lot of data. I had to spend a lot of money on a tech specialist to pull what they could off of the half melted hard drive. And I lost a lot all the revised drafts I had, including the nearly finished version of Warped. But now I'm ready to dive back in, clean it up, and release it.
Also the finale part of the audio version of Lonesome Town is up.
The audio tale is at https://youtu.be/tz7JbMQRC_k

New Things Are on the Way!
Hey there everyone! There is not much the ways of updates this week. There is only one small one. The short story The Tall Man has been revised and has just been enrolled Kindle Unlimited program, so members can read it for free. It's a little different than other shorts. Its a short set in the Powers world with entirely new characters. I will post the synopsis down below.
Sky and Kitt are odd twins living in the great white north of Alaska. Their oddity being they have the ability to glow in the dark which is something that makes Kitt the target of the Tall Man, a taker of young girls everyone fears. Sky now must go out into the tundra to find this monster to get his sister back.
This available in ebook @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L8G1VLQ
It is available for $.99 for purchase.
And Free on Kindle Unlimited.
Beyond that the fantasy Ordinary World is officially moving into the audio editing phase. The reviews were very positive at Scribophile, and there were no glaring issues this time around. So I am moving to the final part of the review process. Its not an extensively long story like Meteor City or The Broken Princess, so the final release should not be too far off.
And of course, the audio story project is still happening. This time its next part of Lonesome Town.
The audio tale is at https://youtu.be/TfY-Qkw4dqU

Also there's one last thing, I wanted to say. I recently published the short story anthology Meteors & Monsters. And through the kdp reports I saw that after release, it had a surprisingly amount of readership. Not impressive numbers by any means and probably embarrassingly small compared to other authors. But as someone who has next to no audience and has very little sales overall, its nice to just see that many people take interest and decided to read the book. So if those readers were any you following me on Twitter or Goodreads, I want to give you a real big thank you! I really appreciate it. I love writing to death, but sometimes I do wonder if all the editing and formatting I do to share my hobby is worth the trouble. And then one day log onto my author pages and see that there is a small number of people reading my stuff. It makes me happy that at least I'm sharing it with some people in the world and its not all just getting lost in the shuffle. I'm so grateful for those few readers. It means a lot to me.
With that said, I hope you all have a good week. New stuff is on the way. And again, thank you!

Meteors & Monsters is Finally Out!
Hey there everyone. Hope you are all well. I apologize for not putting anything out last week or posting a blog. My terminally ill elderly kitty, Ollie, finally passed away that week and it really got to me. I couldn't focus on anything, and really need some time to myself away from any sort of work. I hope you all understand. But onto happier news because let's be honest. We are all be crushed by bad news this year.
So the good news is the short story collection Meteor & Monsters has been released. Much like Flying Pigs & Witches its a collection eight short stories including some new short stories and revised old tales. And it is released in ebook format and on Kindle Unlimited. I will post the synopsis down below.
"Ancient gods have awaken to make the world their playground. A runaway Alice must make a stand in the last free city of Wonderland. Radio show hosts must survive an alien invasion. A freelance photographer falls deep into trouble when her house is broken into by a horribly mangled woman. A young woman goes to a mysterious place where dreams come to true to find an estranged best friend. This is another collection of short stories stretching across science fiction, fantasy, and horror. This collection is composed of eight tales including:
- Midnight Special: Murder at Blue Bayou
- Meteor City
- Lonesome Town
- In The Land Of Gods
- The Junkyard Murders
- On The Air with Mike Gypsy and Sacheana Crow
- Alice: Stone's Story
- Midnight Special: Bishop"
It is available in ebook at Amazon @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FQDMKB1
-$3.99 for purchase.
-Free on Kindle Unlimted.
Beyond that, I did get a revised version of The Emergency Patient over on Kindle Unlimited as well. Its the first short I ever wrote so many years ago as a teenager about vampires. Its very simple and very short and am really glad I got it somewhere where people can read it for free because it is so short. So check it out on Kindle Unlimited @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014VWRJQK
Also I am working editing a short story, Ordinary World. Its about woman who dives into dreams to remove phobias and night terrors. Hopefully I will be able to get that out in a couple months. Then the Powers short story, The Tall Man is being revised, so that should be coming to Kindle Unlimited soon. And in time these two will be ultimately be grouped in a third volume of short stories that is yet to be named.
Also after a break from last week, the audio story project (a by product of the my revising methods) is continuing. Today it is the the first part of Lonesome Town . You can find it at
