Murder of Blue Bayou is Now on Kindle Unlimited

Hey everyone. I wanted to give an update about all that’s going on. Which it’s fair to say, not a lot. Work has new management, and caused a lot of undue stress in the workplace that ultimately led to my removal in favor of interns when all was said and done. So very little has been done book wise as work issues has dominated my life entirely for the last three weeks or so. But enough about me. That is all in the past. Let’s get to what has been done.

And what has been done? The Midnight Special: Murder at Blue Bayou has been revised and released through the Kindle Unlimited Program. So it’s free if you’re a member. I will put the synopsis down below.

“On the closing night of the freak show "The Midnight Special" in the southern town Styx, a member of the show goes missing. Michael, Pria, and Summer go into town to find her, only to fall into a world of trouble and murder.”

The short story is $.99 for ebook and free with Kindle Umlimited.

Find it @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C7WQAM0

And that is all I have to share this week. So sorry, I have been working painfully slow this year. I wish to get more stuff revised, enrolled in this program and well as new stuff. But I have had no time this year. Hope you all are doing well and I hope to have more stuff to share soon.

Meteor City is Finished, but is to be Released Later

Hi there everyone. It has been a very long time since I discussed anything. I had a small rough patch. I was about to lose my job, and found myself putting in 10 hour days every day for a couple weeks. Long story short, things somehow turned for the better. But just as I found myself having time dive back into my projects again, COVID 19 struck my state and I was sidetracked for a good while.

But to keep my sanity, I have returned to writing again. And I have really accomplished some things recently.

So I am almost finished with Meteor City. The cover art is done. And the story itself is pretty polished. It needs one last round of edits, but it is done for the most part. But I am hesitant about releasing it in the near future. The tale is about a city infected by a horrific illness that is quarantined from the rest of the world. And it seems like the perfect thing to not release because I just don't think people want to read anything like this right now. When I started editing in January, I had no idea we would be in a pandemic right now. So for the moment, I think I will put this project on pause to think about when I should release it.

In the meantime, I'm shifting my focus shift on other things. Another short, Once Upon A Time in Boston is now on the editing block. I was going to work on this after Meteor City, but I think I am going to jump ahead to this one at the time being. This is a dark fantasy horror tale that is fantastical and much more removed from occuring events. It will be the major focus for the time being.

Also after a bit of a hiatus, I have dived back into the read outloud revision process. Murder at Blue Bayou is being worked on now, and will be the next tale enrolled in Kindle Unlimited. I'm hoping by the end of the year, I will have another batch of shorts revised this way to be included in an anthology. As for the audio story releases go. They have stayed on schedule for the most part, being shared every monday on youtube at
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuHL... . Currently the tale is the Broken Princess. So check that out if your interested.

With that said, that is all I have to share, at least for the time being. I hope to have more to offer soon. I meant to be more productive and have a lot more done by this point in the year. But who could have seen a pandemic coming. Have a good wee everyone. Stay safe and stay well.

Meteor City and Finding Elodie are Now Officially Being Worked On

Hey there everyone. I've been started the year working on new and old projects while fighting a mighty cold. And now that I have won the battle against being sick, I am here to update you all about what has been achieved so far.

First of all, as far as editing is concerned I have dived into working Meteor City into a publishable product. It is an scifi horror short story about a city that has been quartined after a meteor shower infected the city with something that causes unpredictable mutations. Thirty years after the fall, the city is still srcapping by despite the threat of constant infections or threat of those who are infected. It follows an photographer in this city who does well enough, but unfortunately her luck is about to run out.

Then I have finally started to continue editing Finding Elodie. Its a scifi novel I was polishing for publication in college. It got abandoned in mid college as I had less and less time and just became so overwhelmed. It's been a long time since I dropped off the project. I had to finish the last two years of my education. Then I found the imaginative side of my brain was broken for at least a year afterwards. So it took me a while to build back up to writing again and tackling bigger projects. Both of the these projects are now on the Scribophile.com Writing Community is you would like an early preview.

Second, with the revisions of older stories using an audio story projects, I am half way through recording (and editing) the scifi horror short On the Air. So that is the next thing that is going to be released and inducted into the Kindle Unlimited program.

Third, as I'm digging through the old stories from years ago I found that my short Somewhere Beyond the Sea had a lot of potential. So I took the cliffhnger and decided to do something with it. I started writing more of the story expanding it into what happened afterwards and follows Davey's quest to find April. I don't know how long it will be. But this is what will happen to it in the future. If it ends up being say a seventy pages over so (which is much longer than the original story) then it will be released as the same short at the same price. Those who bought it already will get the free update for the copy they already have. And if someone already bought it in the anthology, there will be a free update as well. If the project ends up being much longer (say 200 pages or so), it will be released as a seperate novel. But time will tell what will happen. I will update you all as the expanded version works its way toward publication and that will likely be a while from now.

But what about the current stuff? Well currently the audio story project is focused on The Last Witch has made it to the second part of the second story in the short collect. I'll give you a link to the playlist down below.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

And remember if you enjoy this, buy the short stories over on Amazon or make a donation to Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/user?u=10411921

Lastly I've a bit slow at updating you all on book reviews I've been posting over on Hubpages for the last book or so.

1) Canterbury Hollow by Chris Lawson
https://hubpages.com/literature/Cante...

2) Digital Rites by Jim Hawkins
https://hubpages.com/literature/Digit...

3) Sleepwalker by Joe Hill
https://hubpages.com/literature/Tales...

3) Jade City by Fonda Lee
https://hubpages.com/literature/Jade-...

4) The Wishing Time by Devon Monk
https://hubpages.com/literature/The-W...

5) The Nutcracker by Alexander Dumas

And that is all I have to say for now. Hopefully I'll have more exciting stuff share next time. Have a great week everyone!

The Plan for 2020!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful time with the holidays. But now all of it over, and sadly it’s time for work again. And on the first day of the year I am spending some time on planning what to do in 2020 and reflecting on what I have got done last year with all my book stuff, I have been calling Project Stories. Basically I am working on new stuff why revising my old stuff at the same time. Is it a little messy? Sure. But I love working on new stuff opposed to old stuff, and I struck a balance where I can balance the two.

In case you haven’t heard of me before and never read any of my blogs, then you should know I love to write and after high school, I decided to self-publish a lot of stuff because I thought everything was great! I took a break from writing when I was in college, and when I got out and revisited my work, I started to see the flaws and decided to rethink and organize everything. The decision made was to start with the short stories. I would review, read them out loud with a microphone nearby therefore creating both an audio version and revised version in the process, then would release them in the Kindle Unlimited program. And despite some very awful luck in the second half of 2019, I persevered and got a surprising amount of it done. In 2019, I got the following shorts revised.

· The Secrets of Charles Mahogany
· Vanity
· The Island
· Somewhere Beyond the Sea
· My Name Is…
· Late Shift at Pennies
· Lonesome Town
· In The Land of Gods
· The Junkyard Murders
· Alice: Winter’s Story
· Socks & Fuffle Puffs
- Most of these stories I decided to release in a short story collection as well called Flying Pigs & Witches

Then beyond I had a goal to publish some new stuff in 2019 as well. It’s been so long since I worked on editing a large project (before college). I wanted to challenge myself to edit something a little bigger than a short story, so I worked on an episodic short story project The Last Witch. The entire collection of shorts was published by the end of the year. The stories published were as followed:

· The Last Witch Story 1: The Damn Road
· The Last Witch Story 2: Old Hobbs
· The Last Witch Story 3: Battle of Minerva
· The Last Witch Story 4: The Broken Princess
· The Last Witch Story 5: The Abyss

Along the way, a few of these shorts have work their way to YouTube in audio form at the Project Stories channel. So least to say, a lot was achieved. I wish I could have been able to get more done. But I am only one person and I have to balance this with work and just like in general, so time is not abundant.

But what about 2020? Like last year, I sketched out an outline of things I need to the do for the year. (That worked amazingly well and kept my scatterbrain on track last year.) My plan for this year is to return to the idea of releasing a new novel. In the middle of college, I abandoned two projects in the editing process. Finding Elodie and The Forsaken Lands. Since Finding Elodie is the furthest along, my goal is to finish editing that and possibly getting it out before the end of the year. Even with that as the main goal, I do not want to solely focus on that. Focusing on one project leads to tedium. So I would love to sneak in a few shorts along the way if time allows. The short stories I would like to focus on are Once Upon a Time in Boston (A horror fantasy), Meteor City (A horror science fiction), and a new Alice story (A Dark Fantasy). There are a couple medium side projects as well. They are longer than my short stories but not quite book sized either. I don’t if either of these medium sized projects will be done by the end of the year. But I might dabble in them a little bit and make some progress.

Beyond that the revisions will continue. Whenever I have a quiet window, I will plug in the microphone and do some more read out loud editing. I will focus on shorts and when the shorts are done, the focus will shift to the books. Most likely the earliest ones I published, because they may need the most help versus the later ones where I worked with writing communities to polish everything.

So that is the plan for 2020. I hope some of this you will enjoy. Happy New Year everyone! I will be blogging again as there are new updates.

In The Land of Gods is Now on Kindle Unlimited

Hi there everyone. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and remained safe in the chaos of black friday. And its been a while since I sent out an update. So today I have some updates.

First of all, I went I finished revising In The Land Of Gods and the short story is now a enrolled in Kindle Unlimited. The synopsis is down below.

The world was so ordinary once upon a time. That is until they found them. At a archaeological dig a dozen corpses were discovered. When they were brought out to the world, sunlight breathed life into them. The world quickly discovered they do anything, be anybody and most importantly bend the world to their will. The press called them gods and world has not been the same since they woke up.

It is free with Kindle Unlimited or $.99 for purchase @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C7XUFFC

Also while editing the short story series The Last Witch, I read it loud while polishing up the final drafts. The side product is the audio version. And because there are not many other short stories  recorded to share as audio tales at the moment. So I began sharing a part of the Last Witch weekly. Here are the links to the first three parts.

Part 1: https://youtu.be/uWgkZsgIiQM

Part 2: https://youtu.be/vZigiSwGwtI

Part 3: https://youtu.be/PtNAPE8HMLo

Also I fell well behind on sharing book reviews over on Hubpages. So I will share them down below.

The Abyss is Released And Other News!

Hey there everyone! I have some fun updates for everyone. So let's get started.

First of all The Last Witch short story series is complete and out for sale. Last weekend, I finalized the cover art and polishing of the final story, The Abyss. It is on Amazon in ebook. The synopsis is down below.

Brian and Fran have finally made it.  They made it to the abyss. The magical lake beyond the mountains that will destroy the god of chaos.  The task should be easy. Take the god to the lake, throw it in, and go on their way. But things can never be easy. Strange dangerous giant guardians are protecting the lake and  the dysunctional father son relationship has reached its breaking point.  Can the two possibly work together long enough to finish the task they set out to do?

The ebook is available for purchase for only $0.99 and Free for Kinle Unlimited subscribers.

Find it @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZN72RQQ

Beyond that, the short story My Name Is... is officially posted in audio form on Youtube. Its a tale about about a girl captured by a witch and turned into a raven. She must escape and find a cure, as her memory is rapidly fading away I will post the link to the play list audio tale.

My Name Is: An Audio Story
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpzJW...

And remember if you enjoy these please support. I would appreciate it so much!

You can support a few ways
1) Puchasing the short story for $0.99 from Amazon
2) If you have Kindle Unlimited, download the story for free and flipped through the pages. I do get a few cents for this, and every little bit helps.
3) This story is also included in the short story collection Flying Pigs and Witches. This is available as an ebook at Amazon. This is included with seven other stories for $3.99 @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KREO7C0
4) And lastly you can support by making a donation on my patreon page for this audio story project. It's the Project Stories page. The direct link is https://www.patreon.com/user?u=10411921

So now that The Last Witch series is completely finished, what's next? To tell you the truth, I don't know. I want to finish Finding Elodie and The Forbidden Lands which are half polished on Scribophile. I have the half edited third book in the Powers series still on my desktop. Its been there for years now. All these things need to be finished. They have been sitting half finished for years now. I intend to hopefully focus on one of those next. I'm just not sure which one. I also want to continue releasing short stories off and on. They are easy to edit, polish, and release. And it will provide breaks from tediously focusing on one extended project too long.

That's the idea of what will happen. I have no official plan yet. Its hard to make one right now. The truth of the matter is, my job right now is taking up all my time. I was laid off from my old one and this new job has long days and a long commute. I am struggling to find a balance. Hopefully I will figure something out soon and will manage to work on all of this.

With that said, I hope you enjoy the updates this week. Hopefully I will have something fun for you soon. Have a great week everyone.

The Broken Princess is Out Now!

Hey everyone, it's time for another round of updates. And let's start with the big one, the fourth short story in The Last Witch Series, The Broken Princess, is now released in ebook form. I will post all the details down below.

While Fran and Brian travel through the mountain pass, the cold gets the better of them. Brian's father falls ill, and is soon knocking on death's door. That is until a knight shows up out of nowhere. The knight claims he's from kingdom close by. He sees that Brian is a witch, and makes him an offer. They will save his father, if Brian can save the princess. Brian is hesitant, but accepts the offer. Once welcomed into the castle Brian learns of the princess, who has the strangest illness he had seen. She is frozen to the bone. Her presence chills the air around her. Frost clings to her ghostly white skin. He's told she has demon inside of her and needs an exorcism. But to Brian, too many things don't add up.

It is available for purchase for $0.99 as an ebook Amazon
and is free with Kindle Unlimited.

It can be found  @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YK6CYGT

Also the first part of a new audio story is posted. This time its the cute little fantasy called Socks & Fluffle Puffs. The link is down below.

Socks & Fluffle Puffs Part 1: https://youtu.be/WJW-VolLUw0

And remember if you enjoy this, you can support two ways. You can:
- Go to the ebook page @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RPLH1WP and purchase the ebook version, or flip through the Kindle Unlimited version (That helps as well).
-Or go to the patreon page for Project Stories @ https://www.patreon.com/user?u=10411921 and make a donation. I'm not asking you to subscibe to anything monthly like the Patreon model suggests. A one time donation to show your support is fine.

Beyond that my focus is on the final tale in The Last Witch Series, The Abyss. It still needs a cover sketched out and then brought into photoshop for finalizing. The actual story needs a final review, which I am about to begin soon. The story is shorter, around the length of Old Hobbs, so it shouldn't take nearly as long as The Broken Princess.  It's my goal to get this out before the end of the year.

Also the short In the Land of Gods is partially recorded into audio form, with my read out loud review process. It's fairly short, so that should be soon.

But after those two things, what is next? I have a half edited book that has been abandoned sometime back in 2015 because of college, called Finding Elodie. I want to get back involved in Scribophile writing community and workshop to get the rest of that cleaned up. I think that will be my new main focus, with a short story or possible side project here there to break up the tedium of working on one project all the time.

And that is all I have to share this week. If I have more stuff to share next week, I will be posting again. I hope you have a great week everyone!
