Quiet
It's been a busy week here in Lake Woebegone . . .
No really, I've been right out straight with a number of things:
1. Preparing to present an online seminar on worldbuilding Saturday at Coyotecon. (my session is sold out!)
2. Writing the intro for the White Road audiobook, recording tomorrow afternoon.
3. Preparing class notes for the cruise workshop
4. Getting ready to guest on Kelly Harmon's blog
5. Trying to get some writing done on Summer Players.
6. Preparing for a meditation meeting that no...

How to Order Signed Copies of White Road
Since there's been some confusion, I contacted Mysterious Galaxy for instructions on ordering from them, and requesting signed or personalized copies. Here it is.
"The best way to pre-order signed books is to go to our website (www.mystgalaxy.com) and add the books they want to their cart. Then they just need to checkout, they will receive an e-mail confirming the order.
This process is slightly complex, but all they need to know is that by placing their order through our website before the ...

Guest Blogger: Meet Kelly Harmon!
Ladies and gentleman, I give you the talented author, Kelly Harmon
Kelly, what do you think made you into a writer?
Growing up, I never wanted to be anything other than a writer.
My mom taught me to read before school and I spent every spare minute reading whatever I could find. I remember telling her I loved reading so much because I could see the stories in my head.
I think there was a natural transition from the seeing stories in my head to wanting to tell them.
How long have you been...

Signed Copies of White Road
If you would like a signed copy of White Road, you can pre-order one from Mysterious Galaxy bookstore in San Diego. They have handled this before and do a great job. I'll be signing there on June 5, so get your order in early and you can include what personalized message you would like from me. They also handle international orders and I'm told their postage is reasonable.

More Knitting
The damn sock is on hold for now. I am now knitting a vase. Yes, a vase. It's a felted project, my first. You make the "posey pot" then put a glass in it to hold the water and flowers. The pattern is by my friend knit designer Becky Curran, theyarndeli@aol.com
Here's mine, knit while watching "Vertigo" and the Colbert Report. Easy and fun. Made with2 skeins of Jojoland's Rhythm.

And done.
I earned my knitting time today, making significant progress and breaking 38K at last. I think I've finally got the early chapters in order and am sailing on into new waters. Wrote into ch. 13 today.
But I have to admit, sometimes I get really tired of writing fight scenes! That's it, in my next series everyone is a pacifist. ;-)

For the Knitters
After months of waffling, I finally blocked my Aran sweater today. Don't know why I was so nervous about it. Made with Lamb's Pride bulky, lots of cabling, seed/moss stitch. I added the cuff bands and collar. Assuming this comes out the right shape, just the buttons to go! Bulky yarn is great! It knits up so fast, compared to sock yarn.
And here's my latest sock. Wish I could remember the name of the yarn. It's German sock weight super wash and I think the name means "crazy ball." This is a...
