"The First Time"

Yes, I am finally working on the "first time" Alec & Seregil story, since that seems to be uppermost in my travel fogged mind. Strangely difficult, like showing pictures of my friends in bed.

Next year

The first writing workshop cruise was a great success. Met with our travel agent, George Abali, yesterday to work on ideas for the next cruise. Next year is the 15th anniversary of the release of LITS. Hope to do something around that.

Fog

Doug and I are still in post-cruise/workshop shock. He wanders the house, whimpering "Where's Jacob?" (our cabin steward). If I could have magically blipped home direct from the ship, I think I'd be ok but the long and stressful journey home has gutted me.

Already planning for the next one, though!

White Road Discussion Thread Here Be Spoilers

White Road is out and is garnering some nice positives, including a low four figure Amazon number and a five star rating!

For those of you who'd like to discuss or comment on the book without worrying about spoilers for others, here you go! Thanks for all the kind words so far. :-)

Those of you who don't want any spoilers, do not read this thread.

Home From the Sea, Almost

Actually, I'm in an Orlando Starbucks at the moment, killing time before our flight home.

Re: Workshop/Cruise. Apart from some grey weather, it could not have been any better on either front. The workshop participants were about as nice a bunch of people as you could possibly get together with for a week. The workshop and (long) critique session went very well, but a high point of each day was having dinner with everyone in the grand dining room. The two black tie formal nights were a blast,...

On the High Seas

Well folks, I spent the day in St. Thomas today, swimming in a coral reef with green sea turtles and hanging out with some delightful people in my workshop. It was a great day. You haven't lived until you've snorkled in a tropical downpour.

Cruising is great!

Oh, and yes, White Road came out yesterday, didn't it? One day runs into another here. Anyone read it yet? Like it? :-)

Off to the high seas

Well, tomorrow's the big day. We fly down to Florida, then board the ship on Sunday. We're packed. The house sitter is someone we really like and trust, and so do the dogs. Now the house cleaning---*groan*

I don't know what my email situation will be. I'll try to blog, but if you don't hear from me for a week, don't worry. If you don't hear from me for two weeks, worry.

;-)
