Ghosts, Graves, and Groves
I’ve had many of my fiction readers ask me about turning my weekly blog “Freaky Friday” into a book. But, as I looked at many of my stories, a number of them had links to websites or newspaper articles, so there were copyright issues. I had quite a few of my own stories, but not really enough to create a book. Then, my good friend and paranormal mystery writer, Ophelia Julien, told me that she also had a large selection of personal stories, but not enough for her own book. So, we collaborated and “Ghosts, Graves and Groves” was born. (Like Dr. Frankenstein yelling, “It’s alive!!!)
The name of the book comes from, well, obviously ghost stories, but also Ophelia’s paranormal books always have graves on the cover and my paranormal books always have trees – so we thought “Ghosts, Graves and Groves” represented who we are and what we do.
I hope you enjoy this selection of true stories. These are either incidents that happened to us personally or stories that we heard from the people who experienced them. Ghosts, Graves, and Groves

Something Brand New
Rowan's Responsibility: The Willoughby Witches
Happy Memorial Day! I love this holiday. Not only does it remind us to remember all those who have sacrificed to maintain our freedoms, but it is also the unofficial start of summer. I remember that summer used to last forever when I was a child. Summer vacation often seemed longer than the school year. It was during those months that I would run my library card ragged, reading all kinds of adventures as I propped myself up against the big tree in the backyard. The Black Stallion books, the James Herriot series, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Little Women and anything else I could lay my hands on. We never went on a vacation - but I traveled all over the world when I was sitting under that tree.
So, I have something brand new to announce. A new series - The Willoughby Witches. There will be four books in this series and I just finished the first - Rowan's Responsibility. The series is about a family of four witches - a mother and her three daughters - who are quirky, sassy, fun and powerful. They are working together to fulfill a responsibility left to them from three other strong women who died 120 years ago. I really hope you like it.

For those of you who read Mary #19 - this book will answer your questions about what the heck was going on with Ian and Gillian. And, you'll understand a little bit more about Adeline McKinley the ghost we met at the little cottage.

But the summer before Jack's senior year in high school, he spends the whole summer away from Molly. When he comes back, not only has Jack changed physically, so has Molly's feelings for him. Unfortunately, on the first day of school, Jack's new good-looks attract the attention of the head cheerleader and most popular girl in school. Does Molly even stand a chance of winning Jack's love?
