Here Comes The Rain Again...Again
Pretty spectacular remix of this song, and look how young Annie Lennox looks! She's a baby here! I'd get this album of remixes by the Freemasons if imports weren't so damned expensive on Amazon.

Gay Magic!
I, like most people, adore Tina Fey. And I'm totally going to start saying "gay magic" whenever it's appropriate. Hell. Even when it's not appropriate. Over a stack of pancakes at the IHOP: "Gay magic!" Over a nicely worn pair of jeans: "Gay magic!" Over a big chocolate muffin on Sunday morning: "Why, that's just gay magic!"

Shake-up on Jasper Lane

I like to shake things up in my writing. It's kind of what I do. I guess...maybe. Give me a pirate story, I'll add a love affair between a sea god and a stowaway. Wednesday's Song
Today is my great friend Priyam's birthday. Oh, the times we've had! Today's song reminds me of Priyam whenever I hear it. I was on my way to her apartment one rainy night and the song first came on the radio. I made a detour to the Walmart and bought the CD, then proceeded to her place:

Music Review: Emmylou Harris, "Red Dirt Girl"

If there is such a thing as God (in single deity form), then I hope she sounds like Emmylou Harris. Her voice is such an ethereal instrument, it induces shivers in me. (In fact, I based a character on Emmylou.) Far from the country-swing cow gal that many think her, Emmylou is to alt rock what Aretha Franklin is to soul: She is the godmother, the queen. Yes. Her Gram Parsons roots are still evident, but what's wrong with that? Gram Parsons wasn't truly country either. In the 1990s, Emmylou...
