Bragging on my babies!

Happy Tuesday, peeps!

Song of the day- We R Who We R by Ke$ha

I'm so stinking excited to finally be able to share some cheer video with you! Athletic Perfection had its Pre-season rally last Thursday, showcasing performances from each of the seven teams. The athletes have really stepped up their game this season and are AMAZING!

Things are a little different this year. We're keeping the stunts top secret until after our Dec 11-12 competition, so the video posted below will be of the girls tumbling, jumping and dancing.

In case you missed yesterday's post, I've been up to my ears in book three in the Hanaford Park series, and most recently, revising my romantic suspense, Obsessed. I'm hoping to finish up the revisions in the next day or two and send that puppy off to my agent. Then it's back to Gabriel and Taylor in The Witching Hour.

Hope you have a great Tuesday!!

Meet an author Monday

Happy Monday, peeps!

Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving? The holidays snuck up on me this year.

Before we get to the hop, I thought I'd give you an update as to how things are with me since I've been pretty absent lately.

In case you missed it, I participated in NaNoWriMo again this year. Notice how I used past tense for participated? Yep, I ... uh... got a little behind and well .... uh ... then I received a revision letter for my romantic suspense. The revision letter took precedence, so my Nano novel got pushed to the side. Surprisingly, I'm okay with this. I got a huge chunk written on the project and I'm thinking the small break will leave me refreshed and ready to finish it up.

Along with the writing, I've been busy performing cheer related activities. My girls have their first competition in two weeks. Woot!  This means we've been busy with things like pictures, a pre-season rally, and lots of extra practices. I'm excited to be able to post a video tomorrow of some of their performance from the recent rally. Woot!

Okay, on to the hop!!

First Gifts blog hop Nov 19-21

Happy Friday, peeps!

Song of the day- Only Time by Enya (Yep, taking it way back today. Perfect song for WIP)

I'm super excited to share with you what I'm sure is going to be a very fun blog hop next weekend.

Liz Fichera, author of Captive Spirit, is hosting a First Gifts blog hop next weekend (Nov 19-21.)

You can find her blog here.

What exactly is a First Gifts blog hop? It's simple really. Come and share a story about the first gift you ever received from your significant other, no matter how silly, sexy or wonderful it may be.

Sounds fun, right?

Make sure to include the cute button above in your post, and if you're not following Liz, you really should. She's fabulous!

Can't wait to join the hop and read all of your fun stories! See you there!

E-pirates suck. Rant!

Hey, peeps.

Not exactly the type of post I wanted to type. In fact, I wasn't planning on making a blog post tonight at all. I was planning on working on book three in the Hanaford Park series.

I'm participating in Nano to try and get a good chunk of this manuscript done, and hadn't had a chance to write this morning. I came home from dropping my girls off at cheer and sat down to write when I received a Google alert leading me to a file sharing site with three different links to my book. All were uploaded by the same jerk whose name I will refrain from sharing at this time.

I Googled this turd's name and found he's uploaded my book elsewhere as well. In fact, one of the forums I was led to was hosted in a different country! Couldn't navigate the site to save my life.

How am I supposed to fight that? Sure, I sent a take down  notice to the sites I was able to navigate. Thing is, I can't find a place to contact this jerk to ask him nicely to stop giving away my book for free. All I've got is a name, and I'm not even sure it's correct.

This blows!

As I said above, I'm currently working on book three, and to be honest with you, it's the most challenging thing I've written so far. Time travel, historical aspects ... lots of things that are fun, but take time to wrap my head around. It's been slow going, and when this type of crap happens, it makes me feel like tossing my laptop into the pool. I've been guilting myself for days for being short on my Nano word count, for not finishing faster. I agonize over every single word I type out.

Then this happens. Let me tell you, it sucks the wind right out of my sails.

Yes, I realize I'm a newbie author, a tadpole in the big pond. I also realize there are those that think because I'm not published with the "Big Six" that I'm not published at all, and I should probably quit complaining.

Whatever! I worked hard. I fulfilled a dream, and dammit, it pisses me off that people stomp all over it and steal from me.

E-piracy is wrong, people! Wrong, wrong, wrong!

It's madness, madness I tell you!

It's Friday!  Thank goodness!!!

Song of the day- Bad Romance by Lady Gaga

So I was a slouch this week.

Scratch that. I've been a writing machine this week, but I've been a slouch when it comes to my blog (ducks and hides.)

I wasn't going to participate in Nano this year, but got sucked in at the last minute. I'm now feverishly pounding away at the keys for a better part of the day, every day, in a manic attempt to finish book three. Yes, there will be tons of editing, and lots of revising once I'm finished, but to be able to finish this sucker before Christmas would be great.

That being said, my blog might be a little quiet for the next couple of weeks. I'm going to do my  best to keep up, but if I miss a post, it's because I'm knee deep in my manuscript, plugging away.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Mwah!

Nano!!

Happy Tuesday, peeps!

Song of the day- If You Seek Amy by Britney Spears

Ahhhhh! It's November! That means it's time for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month.) My butt will be glued to my writing chair for the next four weeks in a mad attempt to finish book three in the Hanaford Park series, tentatively titled The Witching Hour.

You won't see a ton of reviews from me this month as I'm going to be spending most of my time writing. If you see me lingering about on Twitter or FB, please, kick some sense into my ass and remind me to get back to my writing :)

Thank you, bb's!
