Peaches, Peaches and More Peaches
I brought peaches home from Savannah and found I just hadn’t brought back enough. So off I went to a local produce stand that specializes in local produce. Came home with a half bushel of peaches. I gave half away then peeled, cut up and froze the rest of the peaches. I think I ate at least one peach every time I sat down to peel and freeze. They were really good and best of all I’ll have peaches for the rest of the year.

Another Big Day for Care Giving: Real Life Answers
What happens when a friend, thousands of miles away needs my new book from her local library? What happens is Carol moves into action and requests Care Giving: Real Life Answers. She had to wait while Yelm Timberline Library in Yelm, Washington approved and ordered the book. Carol just emailed me to let me know that Care Giving is now available. Looks like Care Giving is moving out geographically. Yeah!!!
Thanks, Carol!

Finally, in a little under twelve hours, Care Giving: Real Life Answers will be available on Kindle for $2.99. I am very excited because today I also just emailed Care Giving to the narrator for the audio version of Care Giving. She is ready to start producing the verbal copy. Great Day!!!

Before the Fog
Finally, we have a break in the bake chocolate chip cookies on the driveway heat. This morning was foggy and cool, thank goodness. Monday and Tuesday spring through summer are yard days. This morning, I, a friend and the guy who helps me twice a week each grabbed a mower and had Deere races chopping grass and dodging the irrigation system. I ended up wet from the sprinklers but the grass looks great. Rather than show off the results I thought I would share some great cloud shots I got a couple of days ago. The sun was just right to show off the power of these beauties.

Day Trip to Savannah
One of my favorite cities to visit is Savannah, Georgia. She is a graceful, charming, and elegant lady from the edges of her historic district to the busy malls on Abercorne. Two friends and I left the house at an eye opening 7am after feeding the donkeys, dogs and fish. The drive usually takes a little over three hours but we had to make a few stops along the way. Who can resist free maps and peach cider at the Welcome Station? And since the cider tickled our tongues, we just had to stop at exit 58 to try the peach slush and to buy peaches to take home.
We manged to get to Savannah about lunch time so we checked out Tybee Island first, had appetizers on the beach and then headed for the riverfront and a seafood restaurant. Had to wait a bit for food but we chatted at the bar and watched the water. There were crowds everywhere having fun, eating and shopping. A mid afternoon shower cooled the temperatures a bit and we piled into the car for the drive home. Did I mention we were loaded with chocolate, peaches and pecans? What a day!

Tugboat coming home for the day.

Tybee Island beach. Hard to get a picture without the crowd

Autographing in White Springs
Had a wonderful time at White Springs over the weekend. Joanna and staff made the first author signing at the Arts, Antique & Collectibles a great experience. The event was well attended. Delores, Jonnie and I and all the others authors signed a lot of books. Thanks ladies for a great time. And here are some pictures to show the fun.

Care Giving: Real Life Answers is Going Audio
Today is a really great day. It looks as though I have found a narrator for Care Giving: Real Life Answers. This means a whole new market for Care Giving. The audio market is really large and not all books make it. I am glad Care Giving is going to have its chance.

Made My Choice
Which one will it be? That was the question last week. I have two books begun and one to promote. I need to write or I am going to go into withdrawal. I thought it was going to be Hot Diamonds, Cold Justice but Chance just would not be denied. Taking a Chance gets completed first because it just wouldn’t move over and make room in my brain for Diamond. Just started rereading the pages already written. So far there is a gorgeous redhead, a skilled lover, a stalker and a cantankerous donkey in the mix. I haven’t even decided on a name for the guy who gets the woman in the end.
Hint: It’s not the skilled lover. I almost forgot! There is a purple umbrella too! Can’t wait to pick up where I left off……

Time to Write
I have been away from the computer for a bit. First it was one thing then another on Lil Farm. The Spring That Wasn’t really put a crimp in my schedule. However, things are finally getting back to normal, so I am in front of the computer this morning ready to work on Hot Diamonds, Cold Justice or maybe on Taking a Chance. Baby is in the shop and the new golf cart is at the dealership with a electrical problem that has as yet to be solved. Oh well, I won’t even think about that when I get in the zone with the book, whichever one it turns out to be.

Finally Rain!
Rain, thunder and lightning are finally surrounding Lil Farm. It makes posting right now an adventure. The lights are flickering but the back up generator is doing its job so I am still online. This is a time when country living has a lot of advantages. In the city, I never would have thought of having a big generator to run the house in case of power failure. Out here, it is a necessity since I have wells for watering livestock and supplying the house. No power no water anywhere, including bathrooms.
