Summer is such an exciting time at the Ark Encounterso much is happening! One of those happenings is our upcoming Faith Country and Bluegrass Music Festival taking place at the Ark Encounter, June 1215, 2024.

If youre a fan of country and bluegrass music with faith-based lyrics, you wont want to miss this four-day event featuring two concerts each dayone at noon on the outdoor stage in Noahs Village near the life-size Ark and then the main event, a headline band per...

Construction Update: First-Century Jerusalem Model

At the Answers in Genesis design studios, the many talented people God has brought to the ministry are hard at work on various new exhibits and upgrades for the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky. I thought Id share some photos of one of their big projectsthe Jerusalem model.

This 2,000 sq. ft. model of first-century Jerusalem will be housed in the Jerusalem building currently under construction at the Ark Encounter. The model is expected to open in 2026.

This will be th...

The Truth About Climate Change

I have exciting news! Jessica DeFord and I released a new book this month, Climate Change for Kids...and Parents Too!

Climate Change for Kids . . . and Parents Too!

This is a really unique book and suitable for the whole family. It is divided into two main sections:

How to develop a Christian, biblically based worldview regarding climate change, which is the section I wrote. We must start with Gods Wordto properly understand the changes that haveoccurred on this earth and how they affect our understanding of climate over time.Dealing with ...

Encouragement from the Living in Babylon Tour

I wrote this as we prepared to leave Australia to come back to the USA. What an awesome time Martyn and I had speaking to the biggest conferences Ive ever spoken to in my homeland. We had what we called the Living in Babylon Tour in four cities: Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and Melbourne. It was a big step of faith, but we hired convention centers for the conferencesand each one sold out. We spoke to approximately 10,000 people in these cities and thousands more via live stream!

Theres a ...

Incredibly Rare Fossil Find Reminds Us of the Global Flood

Brittle stars, sea creatures with a central disk and radiating arms, have the ability to split in half and regrow the missing body parts, a process called clonal fragmentation. But the question evolutionists always ask is, When did that ability evolve? They believe a new fossil gives some answers.

In a stunning find, researchers uncovered a fossilized brittle star frozen in time at exactly the right moment, i.e., during the relatively short time interval between splitting and full...

Have You Packed This for Your Ark Encounter Visit?

Are you planning a visit to the Ark Encounter or the Creation Museum? If you are, I have a suggestion for something you should pack when you come (or grab when you get here), because it will really enhance your visit.

Our excellent guidebooks with options for all age levels (children, teens, and adults) are available for both attractions. You can grab them when you get here, but I strongly suggest you order them ahead of time so you can familiarize yourself with them and be ready for your journe...

Why Does the Hotel Industry Love Us?

Did you know the local hotel industry loves the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter? The reason why is obviousits because of the enormous number of guests these attractions bring to the area.

Answers in Genesis has a program called Partner Hotels where vetted hotels can be on a list on the Ark and Creation Museum websites. Before being allowed into the program, each hotel is thoroughly checked out to make sure it is of a standard we can recommend.

Last Tuesday, AiG hosted a luncheon at ...

Are Humans Driving A New Kind of Evolution in Animals?

Theres no question that humans have been and are continuing to change the earth, sometimes in minor ways, sometimes in dramatic ways. Those changes impact a wide variety of species, from animals to plants to fungal life. But are our cities, roadways, waterways, and more driving a new kind of evolution across animal species?

A lengthy article from Scientific American claims that anthropogenic evolution is affecting species across the planet and gives a variety of examples of the sp...

Ministry Update: Dr. Andrew Snelling to Return to Australia

It was a bittersweet day as, during a recent staff meeting, we honored Dr. Andrew Snelling (director of AiG research and editor of Answers Research Journal) for his many years at AiG.

Dr. Snelling and his wife, Kym, are soon returning to Australia where all of their family members (children, grandchildren, etc.) reside. They believe it is prudent to make this decision now while their health remains good.

It is with mixed emotions that they are returning to Australia, as they will miss being with ...

44th Anniversary of Mount St. Helens Eruption

Over 30 years ago, I had the opportunity to visit Mount St. Helens in Washington statethe site of an impressive volcanic eruption 44 years ago today (May 18, 1980). I remember just marveling over the power of the blast and the might of the God who created the earth and its mountains. I thought of this verse of Scripture, The mountains saw you and writhed (Habakkuk 3:10). I also visited Mount St. Helens a few years after the eruption to see the devastation and the amazing consequences o...
