On the Road with the Museum Promotions Team

While many visitors are exploring the one-of-a-kind Creation Museum, the museum's promotions team is busy traveling into communities throughout our region. So far this summer, we have had booths at several Christian music festivals, three baseball games, as well as a couple of conventions in our Cincinnati tri-state area.

Here are some photos of our booths at a few of the musical events:

Recently, we had a booth at the Ichthus Music Festival in Wilmore...

How Many Thousands Heard AiG Teaching This Past Week?

As we begin a new week, I thought it would be interesting to consider how many people were exposed to AiG teaching just this past week.  When we do this, all we can do is to praise God for the way He is using AiG and the Creation Museum to reach thousands upon thousands of people—each week!

Creation Museum Visitors:

About 12,000 this past week (over 3,000 just yesterday)—bringing the total for this fourth year of operation (which began the day after this past Memorial Day) to around 100,000...

The Most Popular Creation-based Magazine in the World

With over 72,000 subscriptions (and subscribers from 120 countries)—with a digital version—a special website with extra articles and many other features plus a mini magazine for children, and a special kids website, there is no other creation-based (and Christian worldview) magazine like this in the world.  Even in this shaky economy, subscriptions continue to climb, the emails applauding the magazine keep coming in, and more and more of our excited subscribers are giving gift subscriptions ...

They Came from All Over

Around 3,000 different people from about 30 states—and also a few countries—attended the Defending the Faith conference in Tennessee this past week—what a blessing this time was.

I wanted to share a very nice email from one of our supporters who attended the conference; while living over 2,000 miles away, Paul recently visited our Creation Museum again—just a few days before our conference. Here is his email:

[This:] was the third time we saw the museum. The "Men in White" special effects...

Salvation Testimonies

I have always said that AiG is unashamedly an evangelistic ministry that does not want to just see people converted to be creationists, but we want people truly converted to be born again Christians! That's something we tell the secular media when they interview us.

What a thrill it was to have 16-year-old Juliana come up to me at our Defending the Faith conference in Tennessee this week and tell me that two weeks ago, she read the AiG book Already Gone.  Before the reading the book she...

Reaching Public School Educators

Being not ashamed of the gospel of Christ in the midst of one of the nation's most secular and liberal organizations

Every year for the last fourteen years, Answers in Genesis has had the privilege of supporting the National Education Association (NEA) Creation Science Educators' Caucus at their annual convention where over 15,000 of the nation's public school teachers and administrators gather. Over the years, AiG has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars of resources to be given away...

A College with a Strong Creation Statement

In my blog post yesterday, I quoted from and commented on (using Scripture) the compromised beliefs of a seminary professor who has proposed his ideas on how to fit billions of years into the Bible. Following on from that post, I began looking at various statements of faith from churches, Christian colleges, etc. on the internet.  And I found out that most statements of faith had a very general statement on creation—they were so general, in fact, that they could certainly allow for billions o...

Which Southern Baptist Professor Proposes/Teaches This?

For the theodicy I am proposing to be compatible with evolution, God must not merely introduce existing human-like beings from outside the Garden. In addition, when they enter the Garden, God must transform their consciousness so that they become rational moral agents made in God's image . . . (The End of Christianity, 159).

Any evils humans experience outside the Garden before God breathes into them the breath of life would be experienced as natural evils in the same way that other animals...

"Egypt File" VBS Very Popular

I have heard so many rave reviews about AiG's "Egypt File" VBS program. Many pastors from different denominations have told me that they are so tired of programs that are very shallow and just "fluff." They found AiG's VBS full of great teaching with an apologetics/biblical authority emphasis and strongly evangelistic. The kids love it. A local church about 30 minutes from the Creation Museum was thrilled to offer the VBS to the local community.

Here are some photographs:

Deaf Day Is Coming

The Creation Museum "Deaf Day 2010" is coming on Monday, September 6, 2010 (Labor Day), from 12–6 p.m.

We will have sign language interpreters in the theaters and at various key places throughout the museum to help our guests who are deaf have a great experience. We will also offer buy-one-get-one-free admission for deaf people and their immediate families that day.

If you are deaf or are a qualified sign language interpreter and would like to help, we need you! We need volunteers to help...
