Secrets
Thank you to all those who have read and enjoyed Secrets! I appreciate your patience while waiting for this book, I know it was a long time coming.
I have to admit I'm tickled pink that so many of you want Mitch's story...and Katie's. What can I say? Is it next? Do Mitch and Katie get together? Is there another hero for Katie? Is it one of the other blokes? Ummmm...cannot say right now! I mean, I know, but I'm not telling just yet. LOL
I can say I have cover pics for the characters already, so that's a bonus! Well, for me it's a bonus, maybe not for you yet ;-) but ti will be!
Christmas is around the corner, work is busy, my brother, SIL & niece are currently visiting, so it's all go at the moment. Not had a lot of time for writing - this is the first time in two and a half years we've seen my brother and family, so it's been great catching up. Put into the mix that we have a friend's 2 cats coming tomorrow to stay with us for a few days, our own cats are NOT impressed that their routine has been interrupted, and I have to go to work in-between, and yes, there's not much time for writing. But by the weekend, all should be back to normal, I have the weekend off work, so I'll start writing again.
Which one next? I have to tell you that I really need to re-edit and re-write the 2nd H&S book, but I'm really going to push that one and get it done asap so I can get started on a new book. I'm still contemplating another Ang Kemp novella or straight into another Hope Bay book. You'll know as soon as I do!
Meanwhile, happy reading -whatever you're reading. 'Cause you can never go wrong with reading!
cheers

New Release Day - NOW!
Yes! The book is done and released into the big wide world!
Secrets is bk 1 in the new Hope Bay series - here's the spiel, folks!
*****************************************************
Welcome to Hope Bay, a small Australian seaside town where dreams come true, some souls come to mend, some to start again, and family and friends mean everything. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and live!
~*~
Working at the local GP Practice was a new beginning for RN Emma. Then along came her new boss, and suddenly her peace of mind - shaky to start with - was thrown into turmoil. Not only does she find him attractive, but she has a secret - a secret that could have unpleasant consequences.
Why, oh why, did he have to come along now?
Shane was instantly bowled over by the pretty, curvy nurse, and not just because she knocked him off his push bike at their very first meeting. It’s going to take more than charm to win this woman’s heart, but he’ll do whatever it takes.
He hadn’t planned on using her cat to get to her, but a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.
But when he discovers her secret, will he believe her…or will any chance at new beginnings and love turn to ashes?
~*~
* Because it has been so long since I had a new release out, and you've all been so patient (which I appreciate!), I have released the book straigth away rather than doing a pre-order. I do hope you enjoy it!
* available now in ebook at Amazon & Smashwords
* available soon in ebook at iBooks, Barnes & Noble and Kobo - check my website ( www.angelaverdenius.com ) for links that I'll put up as soon as they become available.
* paperback coming soon
For those who don't know, the Amazon link on my website is Universal, meaning it sends you to your country's Amazon store. If you prefer, you can still buy from the US store as well.
Hope you enjoy the book!
cheers

Update - Getting Closer!
Woooo! Getting closer! On the final round of edits now! Of course, this now happens when I'm on a stretch of work with 3 days on, 1 off, 5 on. But never mind, I'm still hitting the computer before and after work.
Just wanted to give you a quick update. I'm on track to hit the Dec deadline, will try for sooner. Could guarantee sooner if I didn't have to work for a living as well ;-), but then again my job keeps me grounded, too, and grateful for all I have. Not to mention I can keep the furries in the comfort to which they have become accustomed.
That reminds me, it's getting cramped on my bed now that 4 cats have decided to share it with me. And if I'm lucky Theo decides to hop up as well in the early morning and walk across my chest. Because he can...
Oh man, I have season 8 of The Walking Dead on DVD calling my name when I finish this book. I'm planning for one of my weekends off work - it'll be a back-to-back TWD marathon with a bag of chips ('cause you can't watch a zombie movie without snacks, right?). It's my little reward!
Okay ,I'm off to hit the sack now so I can get up early in the morning, go for a quick walk, sweep, mop, feed the furries and hit the computer for several hours before I leave for the late shift. Yeah, it is what it is - work and writing and sleeping and writing and work! LOL
cheers!

eBook Buying Alert!
Hi everyone
I just wanted to give you all the heads up about something that seems to have arisen in the Amazon field.
At this time I don't know if it's a glitch in the system or not, but some Australian authors are finding their paperbacks are available on the US Amazon site, but their ebooks have disappeared to those living outside the US.
It appears that if you live in the US and go to the US site, you can see our ebooks for sale there and buy, but some readers and authors from Australia are unable to see some of their ebooks for sale. I'm not sure if this is because they are still shopping from the US site, or if it's just a glitch in the system. If they go to the Amazon Australia site, the ebooks are for sale there.
Currently, I can see all my ebooks written as Angela Verdenius still available on the US site even though I'm viewing it from Australia. Of the two books I write as Ang Kemp, only one can I see available in ebook on the US site, but both are available on the Aussie Amazon site, so it looks like it may be happening to me as well, they just haven't gotten to all my ebooks yet.
If you find you're shopping from outside the US and cannot see my ebooks for sale on the US site, be assured that all my books are still available in ebook. Go to my website and click on the Amazon link (which is a universal link) provided with every book, and you will be taken to the appropriate Amazon store for you to buy. If you find the ebooks have disappeared from your Amazon store, do drop me a line on angela@angelaverdenius.com so that I can be aware and I will get onto it ASAP.
Alternately, you can also buy the ebooks at other distributors that are also listed beside every book on my website. The Ang Kemp books will be coming out of Kindle Unlimited and going to wider distribution again very soon.
If you have any questions or concerns, I'm happy to discuss them with you. At this time, that is about all the information I can give you. I'm going to email Amazon now and see what I can find out.
Thanks for your time!
cheers

Book Update ? Release Date
Whoo hoo! 3/4 of the way through this current WIP. I'm writing more today (day off from the day job) and hope to put a serious dent in it.
Now, I can't promise anything, but my aim is to get this book out in December. I'm trying my hardest!! So far all is on track, but I'll be able to let you know for sure later this month.
Meanwhile...I have The Walking Dead season 8 waiting for me as a reward once I get this book done and dusted. I'm planning a back-to-back DVD session complete with a bag of chips - 'cause you can't watch TWD without munchies, right?
But first have I to get this book finished!

Bird in the House - no, seriously!
A bird in the house - seriously, a real feathered bird in the house.
So it's 3 days off from work, I ran around this morning helping a friend, watched a horror movie during lunch with Mum, then settled down for an afternoon of writing.
All is quiet and I'm industriously *typing*typing*typing* then I hear this weird sound. Fluttering, kind of, and for one freaky moment I think...did I open a door to the netherworld by watching one too many horror movies? (not that I'm paranoid or anything, but...)
I ignore the noise, all goes quiet, then I hear it again. I finally get up, leave my little writing room and look into the kitchen and - spy a young dove sitting on our kitchen table. And 3 cats sitting on the floor in a semi-circle with huge eyes and whiskers bristling.
Now you can't blame the cats, they are indoor cats and cannot go outside to catch birds, so what has happened (and it has happened before in the past, but not for awhile) is this dove has come ambling through the trellis on the back veranda and managed to find itself amongst a whole heap of dove-loving, chicken-lickin' cats.
Not a good situation for the dove.
So now here I am, creeping around, trying to catch this dove and field off the cats at the same time. Yes, the cats are all following me, eyes huge, tails wagging. And there's my Mum who apparently thinks helping is standing in the doorway giving advice while the dove is fluttering above my head and the cats are converging on me and the dove in a little furry horde.
But - and here's where you'll be So proud of me (okay, maybe you don't care but I'm stoked), I managed to catch the bird and take it outside (much to the disappointment of the cats who had an interesting interlude to an otherwise very quiet - and possibly boring - afternoon), and put it out near the bowl of bird seed and water Mum puts out every morning.
And SO CUTE, PEOPLE! The little dove just sat in my palm, looking around.
All right, it was probably scared, little heart pounding away, and possibly weak birdie-kneed at the narrow escape and having some hulking human carrying it, but I like to think it found me non-threatening and was getting it's bearings while feeling totally safe.
Oh, come on! Let me live my little fantasy for a few minutes! ROTFL
Anyway, it was an interesting interlude, I felt quite maternal towards the little feathery bloke (or sheila, I don't really know). Now it's back to writing for me!

Current Book Writing Progress Report
Hey-ho all! Thought I better bob back up from the swirling waters of life/work/cats/bills to give you all an update on the WIP.
Okay, the book is going well so far. I've not killed anyone off, even though one in particular SO deserves it! (And you know who you are *stares hard at hero*). They have all survived.
Even better, I'm nearing the middle of it. Yes, the middle! I'm so excited (and relieved...definitely relieved) that I want to flop onto the sofa but alas, that flopping is not to be. Not yet. I'm saving that for when I type 'The End'. Not that I do type 'The End', but - okay, I know you've never seen 'The End' actually written on the end of my books, but believe me, it's a little thing I do to thrill myself when I write that very last word. I type 'The End', stare at it for several seconds, have a drinky-poo (of soft drink, 'cause I'm a teetotaller), then I stare at it some more, grinning delightedly the whole time, and then delete the two words.
What can I say? It's like my little reward for finishing the book! Then, of course, starts the revision, checking for spelling mistakes and plot holes, etc, but NOTHING beats the thrill of typing 'The End' just for my own personal pleasure!
However, I'm not yet at that point, but every page I do is a page closer .
So saying, back to the keyboard - got the day off work, lovely weather outside, music playing, no sick cats - life right now is great!

Evie in Sugery & Writing Update
Okay, Evie (the naughtiest cat in the house) is currently at the vet having surgery on her paw for a ripped nail. This is an indoor cat, so how the heck she managed to rip that nail and twist it right around so that the point was sticking up in the air is one of those mysteries. Mind you, she had a tiff with Lacy the other day, and then tried to get through the trellis at one of the neighbourhood cats that decided to have a snooze in the flower pot, so... Anyway, waiting for the call to say I can pick her up. I'm stressing a bit as I hate the kitties going under anaesthetic, but it had to be done otherwise she'd be facing the nail not healing properly and digging into her later, so... another so...
The writing is going slowly but steadily. Having issues with the characters (as usual), not flowing and basically being a pain in my patootie. But I haven’t given up on them as I feel the series shows promise if I can just nail THIS FREAKIN' PAIR! Gah!!!!
Times like this I feel like throwing up my hands and just going in to watch TV or read a book, but I'm keeping myself chained to the desk and writing. Yes, I know I'm doing this wee blog right now, but that's because it's either take a small break from the characters or delete them completely! So saying, I'm heading back to the keyboard. Have 2 days off work and need to make hay while the sun shines (or, you know, write while I have the time ;-))
Hope your day is as productive as I hope mine is, or if you're flopping back on the sofa reading or watching TV, have fun!
