Why I'm a Writer...
Because I can't act.
Here is photographic proof that I will never win an oscar.

Don't I look scared? No? Well damn.
At least we know that despite the whining about: rain, shoes and assholes, I managed to have some fun at the con.
And I never wanted to act, anyway.
cheers,
Frances

Time to Embrace the....Romance?
I make a big show of how inadvertent the romance in my stories is....but I'm a terrible liar.
"Hi, my name is Frances and I write Romance stories."
Makes me think of that scene in the Colombian jungle... "I'm a Romance novelist..." except a young Michael Douglas isn't around to hack the foliage out of my way, or customize my expensive shoes.
If I had them. Which would be a bad idea in Seattle, where they KILL cute shoes on principle.
Still feeling snarky about the shoes.
Anyway... I write Romance....

You Will Be Ass-imilated?
Well, this last weekend I ventured back into the con universe. Armed with my pocket program, a credit card and the wistful memory of my time at Spocon, I braved the mountain pass, the April snow storm, and the steady, drizzly slog that is Seattle in the springtime. (Hey--I used to live on that side, I can dis it at will.)
I had high expectations for this "mega-con." I was prepared to be dazzled by the experience after my joyful time at last summer's mini one. Perhaps, in retrospect, my hopes h...

Author, Donna Hatch

Please join me in giving a warm welcome to author, Donna Hatch.

Donna, your new release is described as a Fantasy, can you tell us a little about the book?
It's sort of a blend between a fairy tale and a medieval-style romance, mixed liberally with adventure. Here's my official pitch: The last surviving member of her family, a princess must place her life, and the fate of her kingdom, into the hands of a trained killer. But accepting her destiny, and her own dark powers, will mean losing the...

On Hiatus (Not Stalking...Really)
While I will be attending Norwecon this weekend, and therefore otherwise engaged not stalking stormtroopers, I won't be posting here. Obviously.
Likewise, I won't be posting anywhere else either.
I might be drinking space-themed coctails in a space-themed bar and THINKING about stalking stormtroopers. But that's not a crime, is it?
Instead, you shall be dazzled by another guest interview. Donna Hatch has delightfully agreed to stop by and chat with me about her new books, genres and writing in ...

We Have A Winner
I'd like to thank all of the people who followed the book tour, who commented on the posts, and who hosted the blogs along the way.
As far as I'm concerned, the great individuals that I have met make my first release a success regardless of outcome.
With much fanfare, my husband and I gathered the participants' names, and he and my almost-two-year-old daughter have selected the winners as follows...

In Conclusion...
This weekend marks the final few days of the book tour. There will be one last interview posted at Manuscription, and all comments made there or at any of the previous tour stops will count for an entry into the prize drawing.
I should be wrapping up the tally and making the draw on Monday morning, and I hope to announce the winners by the end of the day.
Thanks to everyone that has followed along with me!
It's certainly not over yet! I have a few more events in the works to keep me busy until...

Bonus Tour Stop
I have an article up today at: http://anauthorstale.blogspot.com/2010/03/under-sun-by-frances-pauli.html
Discussing whether or not there is really anything new out there. We'll call it a surprise tour stop, and add it in. So, all comments here also count toward the drawing for the free ebook.
Enjoy!
Thanks,
Frances
