Be my baby on an open thread

Tonight's Friday night chill is "Be My Baby" -- the iconic masterpiece sung by The Ronettes. It's the quintessential embodiment of Phil Spector's ingenious wall of sound.

His obsession and compulsion drove him to the edge of madness and destroyed his marriage to lead singer Ronnie Spector. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. His downfall was the stuff of Greek tragedy, ending with his wrongful murder conviction in the death of a never-was has-been Hollywood wanna-be over-the-hill starlet. Got that?

But forget all that for the moment and dig this perfect little tune.

The Mosque Behind the Jihad Murderers of British Soldier Lee Rigby

There have been over 22,000 deadly Islamic attacks since 911, each one with the imprimatur of a Muslim cleric, each one tied to a mosque.

The mosque behind the brutal butchery and beheading of young father and British soldier, Lee Rigby, is further proof that our AFDI action items in our 18 point platform must be instituted:

-- AFDI calls for immediate investigation into foreign mosque funding in the West and for new legislation making foreign funding of mosques in non-Muslim nations illegal.

-- AFDI calls for surveillance of mosques and regular inspections of mosques in the U.S. and other non-Muslim nations to look for pro-violence materials. Any mosque advocating jihad or any aspects of Sharia that conflict with Constitutional freedoms and protections should be closed.

Read the rest of the AFDI platform here.

Lee Rigby killers had links to Lewisham mosque that 'attracts radicals' By The Telegraph, December 19, 2013:

Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale said to have worshipped at Lewisham Islamic Centre

The killers of Drummer Lee Rigby are believed to have worshipped at a mosque whose imam was once recorded apparently urging British university students to wage jihad in Palestine.

Whitehall sources have told the Telegraph that Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale had links with the Lewisham Islamic Centre in south-east London, less than six miles from the Woolwich street where they murdered the soldier.

The mosque’s imam, Shakeel Begg, was caught on tape by the Sunday Times in 2006 apparently telling Kingston University students to “take some money and go to Palestine and fight, fight the terrorists, fight the Zionists”.

A senior Whitehall source insisted the centre had a large number of worshippers that were of no concern to the authorities.

But the source added: “It does attract a radical crowd and radical speakers and has its fair share of converts. From that perspective it is significant.

“Adebolajo and Adebowale did go there, and anywhere that attracts extremists is of interest.”

The Lewisham Islamic Centre said it was “feasible” that Adebolajo and Adebowale may have attended on occasion because it was a public place of worship open to everyone.

However, a spokesman for the mosque said the killers did not take part in any meetings or classes there, adding: "Firstly it should be noted that we do not allow any closed meetings/classes to take place at the Centre. For the avoidance of doubt, we can confirm that these individuals did not attend any meetings or classes.

"Secondly, the Centre is a public place open to all like any other mosque or place of worship and it does not exclude any member of the public from entering therein.

"It is therefore feasible that the individuals may have attended the Centre as they were also likely to have done with many mosques in and around London. Likewise, it is equally feasible that the individuals also attended churches at some point in their lives before they had any association with Islam."

The Lewisham Islamic Centre claimed Mr Begg had been misquoted and suggested that he had in fact been talking about the “illegitimate nature” of terrorist activities.

The mosque, which was set up in the late 1970s, is a registered charity with its own primary school and after-school academy for young Muslims.

One of its former trustees, Dr Ijaz Mian, was filmed in an undercover Channel 4 Dispatches programme broadcast in 2007 apparently telling worshippers at Sparkbrook Mosque in Birmingham: “You cannot accept the rule of the kuffir [non-Muslims]. We have to rule ourselves and we have to rule the others.”

The Lewisham Islamic Centre claimed the documentary had “distorted” Dr Ijaz’s image through “selective editing and commentary”.

Adebolajo and Adebowale are believed to have moved on to the centre after years of close links with the now-banned al-Muhajiroun group, founded by Omar Bakri Mohammed and later run by Anjem Choudary.

Bakri claimed to have converted Adebolajo to Islam and Choudary said he first met him in 2005, but claimed not to have seen him in the last two years.

Choudary said he could not remember Adebowale but Bakri disputed that.

One in five terrorists convicted in Britain over more than a decade were either members of or had previous links to al-Muhajiroun before it was banned in 2010, according to the Henry Jackson Society, a counter-extremism think tank.

Others linked to the group included Omar Khyam, who was jailed life in 2007 for leading the “fertiliser bomb” plot, which was to target London nightclubs and other public buildings.

Whitehall sources said people would join the group “slightly radicalised” and leave it “very radicalised”.

Bakri helped organise a seminar after the September 11 attacks in favour of the "Magnificent 19" and went on to call the July 7 bombers the "Fantastic Four".

Speaking from Beirut, where he now lives in exile, Bakri said of Adebolajo: "Because he is a convert I can still remember him. At that time there were a lot of conflicts around the world, and in Iraq and in Afghanistan especially. We talked to him about these and he sympathised with the Muslim people, it seemed. He was a quiet boy who didn't ask many questions. He used to come to our open talks and speeches."

Choudhry said: "He was interested in Islam, in memorising the Koran."

Adebolajo became more extreme and took part of numerous Islamist protests around London.

In 2006 he was arrested outside the Old Bailey during a violent demonstration surrounding the trial of fellow fanatics for soliciting murder and inciting racial hatred during a protest against the publication of a cartoon of the prophet Mohammed by a Danish newspaper.

In 2007 he was filmed by the BBC protesting outside Paddington Green police station following the arrest of another fanatic. He is seen holding a placard which complains of a "Crusade Against Muslims".

And in 2009, a video shows him ranting on a platform in front of young Muslims outside a mosque in north London.

He is heard saying: "Do not be scared of the filthy kuffar. They are pigs."

Adebolajo and Adebowale are both also said to have had links with Usman Ali, an alleged extremist and former member of Al – Muhajiroun, and Khalid Fikry, an extremist cleric and supporter of convicted terrorists.

Adebolajo and Adebowale attended a prayer group at the Glyndon community centre in Plumstead, south – east London, organised by Usman Ali. He was banned for life from the Greenwich Islamic Centre in 2007 after the mosque's trustees won an injunction against him.

After Mr Rigby’s murder, Mr Ali said in a statement that he had not been involved in any group since leaving al-Muhajiroun in 2004.

He added: “I would not and have never encouraged Muslims to commit such abhorrent acts, and I utterly denounce these acts.”

One close associate of Adebolajo was jailed in 2008 for inciting terrorism abroad, alongside Abu Izzadeen, another Muslim convert who was radicalised by Abu Hamza, the hook – handed cleric awaiting trial for terrorism offences in America.

Others in their circle were said to include Richard Dart, who was jailed earlier this year over a plot to target soldiers' funeral cortèges at Royal Wootton Bassett.

Adebolajo is also understood to have attended talks by preacher Mohammed Hamid, who called himself Osama bin London, and visited a bookstall run by Hamid in Marble Arch, central London.

Hamid, a 55-year-old former crack addict, was jailed on 2008 for "grooming" young Muslim men for jihad.

Obama #epicfail Holocaust Denial In Iran: News Site Close to Iranian Security Circles Claims Holocaust Photos Are Forgeries

No worries: I am sure that Obama will beat up on Democrats opposing his surrender to Iran, along with Republicans, Conservatives and any other principled Americans who oppose the annihilationists and Naziphiles.

More of the poison fruit of Obama's support for these monsters:

Holocaust Denial In Iran: Iranian Website Claims Holocaust Photos Are Forgeries  MEMRI

On November 26, 2013, the website Mashregh News, which is close to Iranian security circles, published a post titled "A Taste Of Holocaust Falsity + Photos," while noting that it was originally posted November 19, 2013 on the blog Shonood.blog.ir, which is written by Iranian journalist and filmmaker Mehran Mozoon, a supporter of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The post attacked the law recently passed in France, which states that questioning the Holocaust's veracity, not just denying it, is punishable by imprisonment, and claimed that the move contravenes freedom of thought and is unbefitting of France's position as the cradle of civilization and liberty.

The post presents what it alleges are Holocaust photos that are well known in the West, and says that they are doctored, comparing them to what it claims are the original photos. For example, it shows a photo of men placing an emaciated corpse into a crematorium, and compares it to the alleged original, which does not include the corpse, and which it claims was actually taken in the Soviet Union and has no connection to Jews or Nazi Germany.

It should be mentioned that during the presidency of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, various Iranian websites also claimed that Holocaust photos were faked. President Rohani's claims that the Iranian regime does not deny the Holocaust, the publication of such a post at this time by an Iranian website close to the regime indicates the opposite.

The following is a translation of the article, including the photos it presents and the descriptions that accompany them:

"A law has recently been approved in France, the cradle of civilization and liberty, according to which in addition to Holocaust deniers, those who [merely] question [the veracity of] the Holocaust will also be sent to jail. This is the same France that gave the Statue of Liberty to the U.S. Now, with the approval of this shocking law, freedom of thought has also been taken to the slaughterhouse of Zionism."

"The top photo is fake; the bottom photo is real"

Muslim jailed over Christmas jihad bomb attack on Catholic church that murdered 37 people in Nigeria

Muslim-nigeriaI am sure the terrorized Christians in Nigeria are paralyzed with fear at what the Muslims have planned for them this Christmas. Every year the Muslims attack with Christians with greater inpunity and even greater savagery.

2011 Christmas  in Nigeria: Muslims Bomb 3 Churches, Rampant Violence, 60 Dead

2012: Nigeria's President Declares State of Emergency in Wake of Islamic Bomb Attacks on Churches on Christmas Day

Such blinding jealousy and supremacism. No joy for you! Boom!

Nigeria: Muslim jailed over Christmas jihad bomb attack on Catholic church that murdered 37 people (thanks to Robert Spencer)

KabiruSokoto.jpeg Another noble mujahid

The next time there is a handsomely-funded conference investigating "Islamophobia," and learned analysts scratch their heads and wonder why anyone would possibly harbor any negative views of Islam, they should send a team to ask the relatives of Kabiru Sokoto's 37 victims.

"Nigeria Boko Haram member jailed over Christmas bomb attack," from Reuters, December 20 (thanks to Lookmann):

(Reuters) - A Nigerian court sentenced a member of Islamist group Boko Haram to life imprisonment on Friday for his involvement in bombings including a 2011 Christmas Day attack on a Catholic church near the capital that killed 37 people.

The militant group Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the bombing of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Madalla, on the outskirts of Abuja, which also wounded 57 in the deadliest of a series of attacks at Christmas.

Kabiru Sokoto was initially suspected of being the mastermind of the Christmas bomb, although the Federal High Court's Justice Adeniyi Adetokunbo-Ademola found the prosecution had only proved that he knew it was going to happen and failed to disclose this to the authorities.

Ademola found him guilty however of being the mastermind of a bungled coordinated strike in the northwestern city of Sokoto in July the same year. Several bombs were planted by government buildings there, including next to the police headquarters, but were discovered before they were detonated.

He also noted that Sokoto was a member of an "illegal terrorist organization Boko Haram". President Goodluck Jonathan declared the Islamist rebels -- seen as the main security threat to Africa's top oil producing nation -- a terrorist group in June.

Boko Haram, like many hardline Islamist groups, sees Christians as infidels who must either convert or be crushed. A wave of attacks on churches two years ago seemed aimed at triggering a sectarian war in a country with the world's largest mixed Muslim and Christian population....

Bosnian Muslim jailed for 45 years over jihad terrorist attack

Well, Clinton's war on behalf of the Muslims in the Balkans certainly helped solve Bosnia's problems. Uh, not so much.

The jihad never changes, only the actors, but the jihad remains the same.

Haris Causevic planted bomb at police station in 2010, killing one officer, hoping to destabilise country

A Bosnian court has sentenced an Islamist radical to 45 years in prison for a 2010 bomb attack on a police station in which one officer was killed and several injured.

The sentence handed down on Friday was the longest in Bosnia for an offence other than a war crime.

Haris Causevic planned, organised and carried out a terrorist act in the central town of Bugojno on 27 June 2010, aiming to intimidate the population, coerce the authorities and destabilise the country, said presiding judge of the state court, Goran Radevic.

"The council of judges has decided to jail Haris Causevic to a maximum prison term of 45 years to express the public condemnation of the act he committed," said Radevic.

Naser Palislamovic, who was accused along with Causevic over the attack, was acquitted due to lack of evidence.

Causevic planted an improvised explosive device by the back wall of the police station that was detonated by slow fuse in the early hours. He was caught running away.

Six men were originally charged with the crime, three of them under terrorism laws. Three others were accused of assisting the attack but their trial has been delayed.

One of the three accused of terrorism made a deal with the prosecution to testify against Causevic and was sentenced to 14 years, last year.

All six men were members of the Wahhabi branch of Islam, which gained a foothold in Bosnia after the 1992-95 war. The bombing was one of the most serious security incidents in Bosnia since the war.

Last month, Bosnia's appeals court jailed an Islamist gunman for 15 years, for opening fire on the US embassy in 2011, seriously wounding a police officer.

Cultural Jihad: "Muslim Superheroes"

"A good Muslim by our standards is a bad Muslim by Islamic standards. Therefore, a true Muslim superhero would be a Muslim supervillain."

Muslim comic

10 Truths Mainstream Comic Books Evade To Promote ‘Muslim Superheroes' By Bosch Fawstin, PJM, December 19, 2013

An Ex-Muslim independent cartoonist vs the politically correct cowardice of Marvel and DC Comics.

The Muslim terrorist is a cliché. But only in real life. And in post-9/11 comic books, “Muslim superheroes” are becoming a cliché. As a cartoonist and as a recovered Muslim working on an anti-Jihad graphic novel called The Infidel, featuring Pigman, I’ve identified certain truths that Marvel and DC Comics have to evade in order to shove their “Muslim superheroes” down the throats of their readers.

Before I move on to my list, I want to add that I put “Muslim superheroes” in quotes because Marvel and DC Comics want to promote “Muslim superheroes” without promoting Muslim superheroes. They want to promote their fantasy version of what they would like Muslim superheroes to be, not Islam’s version. As I’ve argued in my work, a good Muslim by our standards is a bad Muslim by Islamic standards. Therefore, a true Muslim superhero would be a Muslim supervillain.

1. We Are At War.

9/11/01 was 12 years ago, yet those behind the attack are still undefeated. The greatest state sponsors of terrorism on earth- Saudi Arabia and Iran -operate as if 9/11 never happened. And we’re still not ready to identify Islam as the enemy’s motivation. Can you imagine American comic book publishers during World World II, publishing Italian, Japanese and German superhero comic books? That would have been unthinkable back then. Almost as unthinkable as it currently is to see Marvel and DC create anti-Jihad superheroes. While Marvel and DC are presenting Islam to us in the most politically correct possible way through their comics, in the real world Muslims are on the warpath, killing non-Muslims Every. Single. Day. These “Muslim superheroes” are in the end a way for liberals to deny the reality that an entire part of the world is at war with us, while we do everything we can to focus on Muslims who are Not at war with us, as if they’re the true representatives of a violent religion like Islam.

The victims of September 11, 2001.

911 victims for PJ Media

Submissiony Position for PJ

2. Islam Means Submission, Not Peace.

The only reason we’re talking about Islam at all today is because it doesn’t mean peace. Islam literally means submission, and it demands that Muslims submit to the will of its malevolent god, Allah. September 11, 2001 is when Americans really began to discuss Islam. Unfortunately, most of that talk ended up giving the religion the benefit of the doubt, either by ignorance or by deception. But we always need to remember that it was death and destruction, not peace and understanding, which started our conversation about Islam. In general, Islam – not any alleged deviant form of it – means misogyny, censorship, antisemitism, homophobia, wife-beatings, beheadings, honor killings, pedophilia/“child marriages”, murdering infidels, etc. And while Jihad literally means “struggle”, its dominant, historical meaning has been “Holy War”.

And the jihad against us is being fought by the enemy on every possible front – military, cultural, legal, political, etc. In the meantime, we seem content to limit our defense efforts to simply sending our troops to Muslim countries with their hands tied behind their backs, placing them in unnecessary danger by rules of engagement – concocted by gutless politicians- that only help the enemy. A great American military has no chance in hell of defeating the enemy when Islamophiles like George W. Bush or Barack Obama are calling the shots.

The more of us who understand the nature of this enemy, and the more willing we are to tell the truth about it, the more Washington DC is pressured to act more rationally against an enemy who sees all of us as guilty until proven Muslim. As Muslim Bassam Tibi puts it, “Those who resist Islam cause wars and are responsible for them.” This enemy means business, and they’re prepared to say and do anything to kill us, while we’re not even willing to be honest with ourselves about the exact nature of what we’re facing.

3. Islamophilia, Not “Islamophobia,” is Our Problem.

In the first pages of the debut story for DC’s Muslim Green Lantern, they tried hard to sell the idea that it’s tough to be a Muslim in post-9/11 America, by making him out to be the victim of “Islamophobic” attacks. Forget about the thousands of Americans who were butchered by Muslims on 9/11, DC seems to be telling us, just focus on this poor Muslim victim who’s been mistreated by Americans.

Since the widespread post-9/11 anti-Muslim backlash that the scumedia was bracing for never came – “Islamophobic” attacks in the years following have had to be exaggerated or made up. Even in the 2013 U.S. “Hate Crimes” Report, Jews are still attacked five times more than Muslims.

Phobia is an irrational fear about something. Philia is a positive feeling or liking. Why would non-Muslims have a positive feeling towards Islam, especially post-9/11? There’s nothing irrational about fearing an irrational ideology that dehumanizes women, Jews, homosexuals, lax Muslims and non-Muslims. So it’s Islamophilia, an uncritical acceptance of a hostile religion that’s our problem, not any so-called phobia about it.

The below graphic is part of my “The Shadow Knows” blog series.

Islamophobia ISLAMOPHILIA

4. Appeasement Doesn’t Work.

The more we say “Islam means peace”, the more peaceful Islam becomes … & Islam means peace. The fact that DC Comics finds it necessary to have their Muslim Green Lantern be part of not one, but two popular superhero team series, tells me they know this character can’t carry his own weight with their readers. A big reason is that we all know Muslims have done nothing to deserve the constant tributes they receive from us. What’s the likelihood of Saudi Arabia and Iran publishing comic books with American and Israeli superheroes? As likely as Obama becoming a born-again Capitalist. Our appeasement has turned the enemy’s hatred of us into contempt.

And now, Marvel Comics will debut its new female “Muslim superhero” in her own comic book, but she’ll be given the name of an established, pre-existing superhero, Ms. Marvel, in order to give her a leg up. I expect this character to join the Avengers or some other popular Marvel superhero group in no time, which might keep her own series afloat for longer than it would otherwise. And let’s say she ends up in The Avengers comic book; I can already see activist Muslim groups petitioning Marvel Comics to put her in an Avengers film. And if it doesn’t happen soon, they’ll cry “Islamophobia”. Marvel, on giving this unearned tribute to Islam, has now opened the door to Muslims demanding a male Muslim superhero as well. And after that there could even be talk about why it is that one of the great superhero icons hasn’t converted to Islam yet, and so on. Again, where is the equivalent of this in “the Muslim world”?

After one of my talks, an attendee made the observation that it’s WE who are putting sheep’s clothing on wolves – on the jihadists, and I turned that into my cartoon below.

sheep

Affirmative Action Comics small

5. Islam Doesn’t Sell, from Mohammad to Today’s Islamicomics.

Mohammad was only able to sell Islam to around 150 people in 13 “peaceful” aka powerless years. Only after he revealed himself to be a murderous, sore loser did he attract a following of cutthroats whom he led in forcing large masses to submit to Islam.

Which brings us to today: Islam does not sell, even when it’s whitewashed. The Muslim comic book publisher behind The 99, Dr. Naif Al-Mutawa, assures us that there is no religion in his comics, no praying in it, etc. (as do the female Muslim editor and female Muslim writer behind Ms. Marvel). But that’s not necessary when the entire point of his venture is to push “Muslim superheroes” – not to tell good comic book stories. That the writing and art are mediocre hits the point home further. This series is one Muslim’s attempt at normalizing Islam in the West via pop culture. But even though he was able to shake down DC Comics (after Marvel passed) by getting them to agree to have Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman (who was conveniently covered up more than usual during the series) join The 99 in a cross-over, the series died a well-deserved death in the marketplace. Even the Big Three Superhero Icons, along with all the leftist media support you’d expect, couldn’t lift the 99 “Muslim superheroes” to success.

6. Islam is Contrary to Liberal Values. ( continue reading here.....)

Jihad Judge Wears Homicide Belt on the Bench in Syria

More of the poison fruit of Obama's support for the jihadists in Syria. Imagine: he wanted US military intervention on behalf of these savages.

Bomb-Belted Islamist Judge Runs Syria Jail, Amnesty Says By Caroline Alexander, Bloomberg, December 19, 2013 (thanks to Religion of Peace)

An Islamist judge in Syria who appears at trials wearing an explosives belt and issues death sentences in hearings lasting a few minutes is running one of seven secret prisons where the rights of local people are “ruthlessly flouted,” according to Amnesty International.

The unnamed judge, a member of the militant group the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant or ISIL, also participates in daily interrogations at the Sadd al-Ba’ath dam prison in al-Raqqa province -- except on Fridays and Saturdays when he visits his family in the village of Karama, said Cilina Nasser, researcher and author of a report released by London-based Amnesty today and entitled “Rule of Fear.”

“He’d visit a detention facility every single day and would interrogate, that means flogging even of children, to obtain confessions and as a punishment,” Nasser said by phone. “Trials usually take up to three minutes, maximum.”

ISIL is one of several Islamist factions that have made inroads in northern Syria, controlling territory formerly run by the Western-backed Free Syrian Army. Arrests, detentions, floggings and summary executions are carried out by the group, often in a network of prisons, as part of what Amnesty termed its “cruel, capricious and arbitrary rule.”

Black Masks

The Sadd al-Ba’ath judge, who Nasser said wasn’t identified in accordance with Amnesty policy, “showed not the least respect for any sense of due process and summarily ordered detainees to be taken to be killed, including a prisoner who had the temerity to mock him behind his back.” The judge shows his face to prisoners, unlike colleagues who wear black masks, the human rights group said.

Government forces and militias loyal to President Bashar al-Assad also face serious allegations. They are guilty of a widespread use of abduction and incommunicado detention as part of systematic attacks on the civilian population, the United Nations Commission of Inquiry on Syria said in a separate report today.

“Survivors of enforced disappearances described being subjected to torture during their detention,” according to the report. Some “disappearances appeared to have a punitive element, targeting family members of defectors, activists, fighters as well as those believed to be providing medical care to the opposition.”

On Dec. 17, the U.K. government said that Assad’s administration had “in effect murdered” Abbas Khan, a British doctor who traveled to the country to help people wounded in the civil war.

Foreign Fighters

ISIL has spread through Aleppo and Idlib, becoming one of the fiercest Sunni Muslim radical groups in northeastern Syria. Some of its fighters are from the Gulf and North Africa and have ties to al-Qaeda, Amnesty said.

Al-Raqqa city, in Syria’s northeast, came under ISIL’s control shortly after its formation in April. The population has swollen to 1 million during the two years of conflict.

People in areas controlled by the group have been snatched off the streets for offenses ranging from theft and murder to smoking, drinking alcohol and adultery, Amnesty said. Locals suspected of opposing ISIL or collaborating with rivals such as the FSA are also being targeted. The group’s seven known detention centers include two in Aleppo.

Nasser’s report is based on her Nov. 20 to Dec. 5 visit to Turkey where she spoke to nine people abducted and detained by the Islamist group in al-Raqqa and Aleppo since May. A 10th interview was conducted by phone.

Former residents of al-Raqqa said they first became aware of ISIL in their area around May, when masked gunmen executed three men they said were Alawites in a public square. The group’s “crimes are increasing” as it becomes more powerful, Nasser said.

Serious abuses are being committed by other groups in Syria and Amnesty also plans to investigate those, Nasser said.

Hamas Lawyer for Muslim terrorists and anti-free speech fascist indicted for wire fraud and failure to file income taxes

coheneltahawy.jpg Thugs of a feather ....... Stanley Cohen with fascist brownshirt Mona Eltahawy

Interesting. I would have thought that Hamas's lawyer Stanley Cohen would have been charged under the Logan Act, but this works. Stanley Cohen was charged in a Manhattan federal court indictment with wire fraud and failing to file income taxes for 2005 to 2010. Ah, beautiful justice.

Has Mona attacked the DA with a can of pink WMD yet? Takbir!

in the 1990s Cohen teamed up with William Kunstler, Lynne Stewart, and Ramsey Clark to defend Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, the al Qaeda-linked Islamic Group leader who was prosecuted for his role in a number of terror plots, including the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

From
1995-97, Cohen represented Moussa Mohammed Abu Marzook, a senior Hamas political leader who co-founded the Islamic Association for Palestine and the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (both terror-related organizations). Specifically, Cohen worked to thwart Israel's effort to extradite Marzook out of the U.S. and try him for the role that he and Hamas had played in a number of bombings. As the Marzook case dragged on for some 22 months, Cohen visited his incarcerated client in jail almost nightly throughout that entire period. Ultimately, Cohen was successful in helping Marzook win his freedom, evade the Israeli justice system, and resettle in Syria. Articulating his high regard for Marzook, Cohen would later refer to him as “my dear friend” and “the Gerry Adams of Hamas.”

Other noteworthy Islamists whom Cohen has defended include the following:

a contingent of Albanian Muslim mercenaries bound for Kosovoin the 1990s
Mazin Assi, a Palestinian who tried to firebomb a Riverdale, New York synagogue on the eve of Yom Kippur in 2000
the al-Qaeda-affiliated Texas Imam, Moataz Al-Hallak
the Oregon-based Imam and terror suspect Mohamed Kariye, arrested for possessing trace explosives while boarding a plane at Portland International Airport
Patrice Lumumba Ford, a member of the Portland Seven cell of Islamic terrorists who conspired to levy war against the United States by providing material support, resources, and services to al Qaeda and the Taliban
Abdurahman Alamoudi, a self-identified supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah, who illegally accepted $340,000 in cash from the Libyan government
9/11 conspirator Hazem Ragab, co-founder of the al Qaeda-affiliated Global Relief Foundation
the Osama bin Laden-connected terrorist Wadih el-Hage, convicted of conspiracy in the deadly 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings in East Africa
a Syrian national who was an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings (in East Africa) and the 2000 attack on the USS Cole
the Hamas operatives/suspected money launderers Abdelhaleem Ashqar and Ismail Elbarasse
a Palestinian-American who was jailed for refusing to provide grand jury testimony about Hamas
Amina Farah Ali, a Minnesota Muslim woman convicted of conspiring to provide material support to the al Qaeda-affiliated, Somali terrorist organization al-Shabaab
Mohamed Aleesa, who in 2011 pled guilty to charges that he had tried to join al-Shabaab
Mohamed Hammoud, a North Carolina-based Hezbollah operative convicted in 2002 of sending $3,500 to that organization
an Iranian-American international charity and relief organizer accused of violating Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions against Iran
Mufid Abdulqader, a Hamas fundraiser and the younger half-brother of Hamas supreme political leader Khaled Mashal

Lawyer for jihad terrorists and anti-free speech fascist indicted for wire fraud and failure to file income taxes (thanks to Robert Spencer) Stanley Cohen describes himself as a "'Certified Selfloathing' Jew. AntiZionist." Besides the jihad terrorists below and jihad enabling lawyer Lynne Stewart, he also represents the anti-free speech thug Mona Eltahawy, who faces trial for vandalizing one of our pro-Israel ads in the New York subway.

‘Terrorist’-repping lawyer indicted over $3M in income," by Rich Calder for the New York Post, December 18 (thanks to Maxwell):

A terror-loving top attorney whose clientele has included Osama bin Laden’s son-in-law and jihadist loving Lynne Stewart was indicted Thursday for failing to report more than $3 million in income.

Stanley Cohen was charged in a Manhattan federal court indictment with wire fraud and failing to file income taxes for 2005 to 2010 and faces up to 20 years in prison. He currently has similar tax changes pending in federal court in Syracuse.

Cohen could not be reached for comment but has previously claimed the feds are on a “witch hunt” to get him.

“This is the culmination of at least five years of harassing me, of seeking to silence me,” he told The Associated Press last year after being busted on the federal tax charges in Syracuse.

Democrats in Senate break with Obama on Iran

Obama-iran

Expect Obama to respond to these Democrats with his usual thug style of retaliation: punishment, threats and intimidation in the service of the murdering mullahs.

High praise for Democrats who dare cross the vicious autocrat in the White House. Kudos.

It's always morbidly amusing to watch Obama get tough with principled Americans while kissing the asses of dictators, murderers and oppressors.

Obama will veto this good measure, despite the fact that his capitulation deal with Iran has collapsed. It's not a question of if it will lead to war, it's a question of when and with what, conventional weapons or nuclear weapons. Obama's "deal" insures that it will be nuclear weapons.

Senate Breaks With White House on Iran," By Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, December 20, 213

New sanctions introduced this afternoon despite White House pleas

A bipartisan group of senators filed a new Iran sanctions measure on Thursday afternoon, just days after the White House and its Democratic allies successfully killed a similar measure.

The White House released a statement Thursday afternoon saying the president would veto the bill if it passes.

The bill, sponsored by Sens. Mark Kirk (R., Ill.) and Robert Menendez (D., N.J.), would impose tougher sanctions on Tehran if it refuses to dismantle its contested nuclear program after the end of a six-month negotiating period.

The White House and its allies in the Senate fought tooth and nail last week to kill a similar measure backed by Kirk and Menendez.

However, the issue of greater sanctions continues to garner bipartisan support among Republicans and centrist Democrats in Congress, leaving the White House with few avenues to stymie the new bill.

The bill would give the White House up to a year to negotiate with Iran before tighter sanctions take effect.

The regulations would take effect sooner if Iran reneges on any aspect of the interim nuclear deal, launches a ballistic missile, or plans a terror attack against the United States, according to reports and sources familiar with the legislation.

The bill has already garnered support from a quarter of the Senate and could come to a vote next month.

The Iranians have stated multiple times that they will leave the negotiating table if any new sanctions take effect.

Iranian negotiators abruptly left talks last week after the White House announced additional sanctions designations under existing legislation.

Capitol Hill insiders say that the White House and allies like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) would like to delay a vote on the measure despite overwhelming support.

“Clearly the White House has loyal foot soldiers in the Senate who will do or say anything to block for the president,” said one senior congressional aide familiar with the new legislation. “The problem is that when you try to put politics ahead of policy you end up out of step with the American people. Try as they might, these partisans will not win.”

CNN correspondent Wolf Blitzer said he sees no reason why the bill should stall.

“I assume it will pass, especially since they give the Iranians a year to comply with this deal, this interim deal, if it works out, these new sanctions would not go into effect in the course of the year,” Blitzer said during a Thursday afternoon report on the measure.

“If it doesn’t work out, the sanctions would go into effect,” Blitzer said. “I assume it would pass the Senate if allowed to come up for a vote, pass the House of Representatives. Here’s the question, I don’t know if we have reaction from the White House. If the House passes it, the Senate passes it, would the president veto it or sign it into law?”

Meanwhile, Iran launched a new series of war drills on Thursday and continued to accuse the White House of breaching the terms of the nuclear deal.

MI5 tried to recruit Rigby's jihad killer: Agents were courting beheader just weeks before Woolwich horror

M15 tries to recruiting jihad murderers while banning Spencer and I. Brilliant.

A number of the killers’ accomplices are still on the loose but no worries, Spencer and I cannot enter the country.

"MI5 tried to recruit Rigby's killer: Agents were courting Islamic fanatic just weeks before Woolwich horror," By Chris Greenwood and James Slack and Arthur Martin, Daily Mail (thanks to David)

Michael Adebolajo was approached by agents courting him as an informer
He had been on the radar of domestic security services for over ten years
Three months before killing he had complained of harassment by agents

The security services were in the dock last night for missing a decade of opportunities to stop the fanatical killers of Lee Rigby

Just three months before the appalling murder in Woolwich, MI5 was trying to recruit Michael Adebolajo as an informant.

He had been on their radar for ten years and in 2010 was even arrested with fellow Al Qaeda followers in Kenya.

Adebolajo, 29, and Michael Adebowale, 22, face dying behind bars after they were yesterday convicted of butchering Fusilier Rigby outside his barracks in South-East London.

The pair are feared to be part of a new wave of so-called ‘just do it’ terrorists who can explode into action without warning.

Yesterday Cressida Dick, the country’s most senior counter-terrorism chief, said police officers must be ready to protect their military colleagues.

‘We know that some people who have a completely perverted ideology do regard soldiers as a target,’ warned the Met assistant commissioner.

As senior Whitehall sources said they believed a number of the killers’ accomplices were still on the loose, it can be revealed that:

MI5 let Adebolajo go to Kenya where he had terror training and its agents failed to monitor him properly when he returned;
Kenyan police claimed the trip was financed by Samantha Lewthwaite, widow of one of the 7/7 bombers;
Spies approached Adebolajo’s father, brother and brother-in-law as he went ‘underground’;
Both killers were addicted to potent skunk cannabis and Adebolajo’s last address was a drugs farm;
Al-Shabaab is using footage of the murder, saying: ‘A simple knife from your local B&Q will do the job’.

Adebolajo kissed the Koran when he and Adebowale were convicted of murdering Fusilier Rigby at the end of an astonishing four-week Old Bailey trial.

The victim’s parents, estranged wife and fiancée were overcome with emotion as the jury of eight women and four men returned their verdicts in just 90 minutes.

His mother Lyn and sister Sara sobbed as others hugged. They had endured days of evidence detailing how Fusilier Rigby was almost beheaded by Adebolajo, who was allowed to espouse his twisted views from the witness box.

Mr Justice Sweeney told of his gratitude and admiration for the soldier’s family who, he said, had shown great dignity throughout the most harrowing of evidence. ‘I’m extremely grateful to them and can only sympathise with what has happened to them and its continued effect upon all their lives,’ he added.

The full story of how the two men slipped through the fingers of Britain’s security services can now be told for the first time. MI5 is being investigated by Parliament’s intelligence and security committee and its chairman, Sir Malcolm Rifkind, has said it has serious questions to answer.

Adebolajo and Adebowale were brought up in lower middle-class Nigerian Christian families, with parents who dreamed of their going to university.

The path to Woolwich began in 2003 when Adebolajo joined high-profile extremist group al-Muhajiroun and changed his name to Mujahid, meaning ‘one who engages in jihad’.

Over the following years he cropped up again and again at Islamist events. But it was in 2010 that MI5 appears to have missed the most glaring opportunity to stop Adebolajo after he was caught trying to enter Somalia.

The arrest linked him to some of the most dangerous terrorists in the world, including Lewthwaite. Yet, despite being openly accused of terrorism and being deported to London, he was given free rein to continue on his radical path. Mombasa’s anti-terror chief Elijah Rop said he warned the British not to allow his release.

He said: ‘We gave very honest advice but the High Commissioner ignored us.’

MI5 focused on trying to recruit Adebolajo. He was offered money and mobile phones in repeated approaches by officers who asked him to spy on other Muslims. Three other members of his family, his elder brother Jeremiah, sister Christiana and brother-in-law James, were also approached.

By late 2012, just months before the Woolwich attack, Adebolajo was so fed up with MI5 that he complained to a lawyer.

A week before the attack, Adebolajo preached that jihadis did not need to travel abroad to kill soldiers. A Muslim convert, who gave his name only as Abdullah, overheard him preaching outside Glyndan Community Centre in Woolwich after Friday prayers. He told BBC London News: ‘When we were speaking about the killing of soldiers or the Army he said, “We don’t need to go there, their boys are here, their boys are here”.

‘At that point I didn’t have clue what he was talking about. One of his last words he said was, “If I don’t see you now, God willing I’ll see you in the next life”.’

After Adebolajo was arrested for butchering Fusilier Rigby, he refused to tell counter-terrorism police where he lived. But in a telling remark, the Old Bailey was told he said ‘MI5 could provide the location because they had visited him earlier this year’.

Asked to elaborate on his contact with MI5 while in the witness box, Adebolajo said: ‘There is a lot more to come out on this.’

Adebolajo’s brother-in-law, James Thompson, who himself converted to Islam in 2005, said the interest of the security services was relentless.

He accused the agency of making his brother-in-law more extreme.

Ministers must confront doubts about the effectiveness of the £100million Prevent programme, which aims to deter extremism. A radical preacher who taught Adebolajo was offered £100,000 to help fight terrorism but turned it down.
