Video: Shi'ites in Atlanta whip themselves bloody for Arbaeen, December 23, 2013 By Robert SpencerWe are forced to believe, on pain of "Islamophobia" charges, that the aspects of Islam that are at variance with Constitutional freedoms, and others like zanjeer zani (self-flagellation) that strike many non-Muslims as ghastly and destructive, will never, ever come to the United States. This video of Shi'ite Muslims at Dar e Abbas, a Shi'ite mosque in Atlanta, Georgia, indicates otherwise. Arbaeen follows forty days after Ashoura; both are outpourings of mourning for Husayn bin Ali, the son of the founding figure of Shi'ite Islam, Imam Ali. Husayn was killed by Sunnis at the Battle of Karbala in the year 680; Shi'ites flagellate themselves as punishment for not having been there to save Husayn.

HBO Films Consults with Terror-Tied Hamas-CAIR on "Islamophobia" Propaganda War Film
America is drowning in this relentless Muslim-victimhood propaganda in the media and movies. While Christians are being persecuted and slaughtered across the Muslim world and the jihad against the Jewish state of Israel continues unabated, we are subjected to this preposterous lie of the "victimization" of the perps. (Geobbels did the same thing. The Nazis, too, were the victims.)
Terror-tied groups like CAIR were consulted on a war-like propaganda film -- the kind of war film that Hollywood giants like Frank Capra and John Ford made for our side. Sixty years later, Hollywood is making these movies for the enemy narrative. It's just a small piece of how the the left lost the West.
When is HBO going to make a movie about non-Muslims being persecuted and slaughtered under the sharia in Muslim countries?
When is HBO going to make a movie about the Islamic supremacist war against secular governments in Africa and the Middle East?
When is HBO going to make a movie about Jews fleeing Europe as the Islamization of the continent makes it too dangerous and violent for Jews?
Where is HBO going to make a movie about how the people who spoke out against jihad and sharia had their good names and livelihoods destroyed by Islamic supremacists and their leftwing libelists?
Now those are real horror movies.
This is the marketing of fiction as reality in concert with daily admonishments from Muslim groups, beating us about the head with "Islamophobia!" "Anti-Muslim backlash!" "Hate crime!" "Racist-islamophobic-anti-Muslim-bigotry!"
Trailer (Off-Channel)
"Apparently, HBO has hired terror-linked CAIR to consult on a documentary about all those ‘poor, persecuted’ Muslims in America," BNI, December 2o, 2013
In fact, the first adult Muslim you see on camera in the Trailer below is none other than Dawud Walid, Executive Director of CAIR-Michigan (photo right), about whom much has been posted here, at BNI. In just the 30-seconds, you will recognize the narration as that of the CAIR propaganda artists, taken directly out of the archives of press releases and videos posted by CAIR on nearly a daily basis. Expect to see Uncle Dougie (Ibrahim Hooper) in the credits.
SYNOPSIS from lokifilms: There is an entire generation of American Muslim children who do not know a world before September 11th. They have not experienced a country largely unaware of or neutral about Islam. Instead, their faith is scrutinized and patriotism questioned, even before they can grasp these very adult concepts. TEOMH_posterAs ‘hate’ crimes against Muslims have increased in the United States, some communities – like that of affluent Dearborn, Michigan – have faced this “Islamaphobia” head-on, attempting to demystify their religion by emphasizing all that they have in common with a largely white, Christian America – even going so far as appearing in reality TV shows designed to soften their image among the general population. Other, less visible pockets of Muslim Americans prefer to associate with one another, unwilling or afraid to integrate and assimilate into a country that is openly suspicious of them.
These communities prefer to keep to themselves – living quietly, sending their children to strict Islamic schools, studying the Quran and using the local mosque as the center of all social interactions. These micro societies stay purposely under the radar and avoid trouble… but every once in awhile, trouble comes looking for them.
“The Education of Mohammad Hussein” takes the viewer inside a tightly knit Muslim community in the economically depressed Detroit-Hamtramck neighborhood, focusing on the children who attend a traditional Islamic school, Al-Ikhlas. The film captures a year where the kids and their neighborhood have an unwelcome visitor, notorious Quran-burning Florida preacher Terry Jones, who arrives to provoke them with hateful rhetoric and anti-Muslim demonstrations. How the community reacts to this challenge is the heart of the film, which gives a quietly searing view of a post 9-11 America that is struggling to live up to its promise of tolerance and civil justice for all.

St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia
"Muslimism"?Anyway, the real Santa Claus, St. Nicholas, was Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, which is in present-day Turkey. So it is not precisely true to say, as an Islamic supremacist spokesman says in this story, that Santa Claus has "nothing to do with our traditions and our culture." But of course, that is all so much jahiliyya: worthless refuse of the "pre-Islamic period of ignorance."
Re-Islamization of Turkey Update: "Anti-Santa campaigns heat up in Turkey as Christmas arrives," from Hürriyet Daily News, December 24:
A Muslim youth group and a neighborhood authority led two separate anti-Santa campaigns on the eve of Christmas in Turkey. The Istanbul University branch of a group called Anatolia Youth Association (AGD) released an illustration of a Muslim youth punching Santa Claus in the face and announced that it would make a press statement against Christmas on Dec. 26 in Istanbul.
The group announced the event with a statement titled “Muslim, return to yourself!” adding that “Christmas is a Christianity practice.” The group also criticized the celebration of New Year’s Day, saying that the two dates were “mixed” and “united.” It claimed that celebrating Christmas and New Year’s Day was “wrong” and constituted “a blow dealt to Muslimism.”
Earlier this week, the Şirinevler muhtar, the head of the neighborhood, hung a banner making it clear that Santa Claus was not welcome on their streets.
“As in recent years, Santa Claus will not be coming to Şirinevler since he is nothing to do with our traditions and our culture,” muhtar Galip Karayiğit said in the statement. “[Turk legend character] Dede Korkut will come to our houses again, and will teach our children that they did not come into this world for pleasure, that they came to distribute justice.”

The Somali Government has banned celebration of Christian festivities in the country.
A directive released on Tuesday by the Ministry of Justice and Religious Affairs stated that no Christian festivities could be held in Somalia.
The Director General of the ministry, Sheikh Mohamed Khayrow Aden, and the Director of the Religious Matters, Sheikh Ali Sheikh Mohamud alias Sheikh Ali Dhere, held a press conference in the capital Mogadishu, to make the announcement.
The ban came just hours before Christmas Day, when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, their spiritual saviour.
“We alert fellow Muslims in Somalia that some festivities to mark Christian Days will take place around the world in this week,” said Sheikh Ali Dhere during the press conference, adding: “It is prohibited to celebrate those days in this country.”
Mr Aden, on his part, stated that all security and law enforcement agencies had been instructed to counter any such celebrations.
He added that copies of the directive were delivered to hotels and other meeting places in Mogadishu.
The officials did not say anything on whether non-Muslim foreign workers or residents could celebrate or not.
It is the first time that a Somali government bans the celebrations since the last central government collapsed in 1991.
Sharia in Action: Blogger to Be Sentenced to Death for Apostasy
Where are the moderate Muslims taking to the streets to condemn the death penalty for those who leave Islam? Nary a peep. Where are the hundreds of thousands of Muslims protesting against the death penalty for apostasy? *crickets chirping." But they protest for it.
And Muslim groups speak as one in condemning my ad campaign that provide help for Muslims/apostates in danger from their family and/or community for leaving Islam. We are still suing Detroit in order to run our "Leaving Islam?" ads.

Apostasy carries a death sentence in Saudi Arabia
Human rights groups say government is trying to intimidate activists
(CNN) -- A judge in Saudi Arabia has recommended that imprisoned blogger Raif Badawi go before a high court on a charge of apostasy, which would carry the death penalty upon conviction, according to Badawi's wife.
Ensaf Haidar initially told CNN on Wednesday that her husband had been sentenced to death. She later clarified to CNN that a judge has recommended he be tried for denouncing Islam, or apostasy. Apostasy carries the death penalty in Saudi Arabia, according to Amnesty International.
In July, a Jeddah criminal court found Badawi, who has been in prison since June 2012, guilty of insulting Islam through his Free Saudi Liberals website and in television comments.
Badawi was sentenced to seven years in prison and 600 lashes. His lawyer appealed the decision.
Badawi's legal troubles started shortly after he started the Free Saudi Liberals website in 2008. He was detained for one day and questioned about the site. Some clerics even branded him an unbeliever and apostate.
Human rights groups accuse Saudi authorities of targeting activists through the courts and travel bans. Amnesty International has said Badawi's "is clear case of intimidation against him and others who seek to engage in open debates about the issues that Saudi Arabians face in their daily lives."
CNN could not reach Saudi Arabian government officials for comment.
Badawi's wife and the couple's three children now live in Lebanon.

Jihadists Attack US Embassy in Afghan Capital on Christmas Day: Rockets Hit US Compound
But but but Obama told us that Afghanistan was the good war, the right war. That's the war we should be fighting -- remember that? More of Obama's particular brand of .......genius. *cough* Obama's "good" war is a disaster. He's turned that country over to the savages.
Now he tells us the Taliban is not the enemy. If not them, who? Obama.

"US Embassy in Kabul attacked on Christmas Day" By Amir Shah, Asscoiated Press,
December 25, 2013 (thanks to Christian)KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - The U.S. Embassy in Kabul was hit by indirect fire before dawn on Christmas Day but no Americans were hurt, as attacks elsewhere in Afghanistan killed at least six people Wednesday, officials said.
Two rounds struck the sprawling embassy compound but it was not immediately clear which part of the complex, and a U.S. Embassy official said the incident was under investigation.
"At approximately 6:40 local time in Kabul, approximately two rounds of indirect fire impacted the U.S. Embassy compound," said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations. "All Americans are accounted for and no injuries were sustained."
Indirect fire can refer to either mortars or rockets.
The Taliban promptly claimed they fired four rockets at the American Embassy on Wednesday and said they inflicted heavy casualties. But the insurgents often exaggerate their claims.
Elsewhere, an Afghan official said a bicycle bomb was remotely detonated in front of a restaurant at a bazaar in Puli Alam, the capital of Logar province, 60 kilometers (37 miles) east of Kabul, killing six people and wounding 13.
Two of the killed were policemen and four were civilians, said Abdul Wali Tofan, the deputy police chief in Logar province. He said the attack also wounded 13 civilians, including several children.
Earlier in the day, a roadside bombing in eastern Kabul wounded three Afghan policemen. Kabul police chief, Mohammad Zahir, said one suspect was arrested over that attack.
Police later uncovered an unexploded bomb in the same area and successfully neutralized it, Zahri said.
Afghan insurgents have increased attacks in recent months, intensifying a campaign to regain territory as foreign forces draw down ahead of full withdrawal at the end of 2014.
New York Times Exposes Obama failure with Turkey (which is now totally anti-American)
Turkey -- Obama's one success story, right? Wrong. Everything this loser pretended is falling apart.
It was just this May that Mr. Obama stood in the Rose Garden with Mr. Erdogan and said to reporters, “I value so much the partnership that I’ve been able to develop with Prime Minister Erdogan.” Now, when Mr. Erdogan speaks caustically about American scheming, officials are left to wonder if Mr. Erdogan really believes what he says, or whether he is using such talk as a populist ploy.
When asked who was his most favorite and trusted ally, the quisling in the White House named Erdogan.
“It’s the first time in memory that pro-[Erdogan] newspapers are calling for the American ambassador to leave,” Mr. Cagaptay said. “That’s unique.”
"American diplomats privately pleading" to no avail. You have to hand it to Obama: he is consistently wrong. He gets it wrong every time.
I am surprised that the New York Times admits to Obama's abject failure here. But it is so public, what choice did they have? They get a lot wrong (the Times actually claims that Obama doesn't support Morsi), but that is typical of the Times, rewriting history. The Times and the rest of the enemedia is like the man with the shovel following behind Obama the circus elephant.
Growing Mistrust Between U.S. and Turkey Is Played Out in Public," The New York Times, December 23, 2013 (thanks to Armaros)

At the United States Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, on Monday, protesters denounced Ambassador Francis J. Ricciardone Jr.
ISTANBUL — Coming together over crisis has been a hallmark of the relationship between the United States and Turkey in recent years. So it was an especially troubling sign of degraded trust that a meeting between Turkish and American diplomats was canceled last week because it seemed more like an ambush than a consultation.
A corruption inquiry of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s inner circle had been quickly intensifying, and late in the week, the Turkish foreign minister requested through an intermediary a meeting with the American ambassador, Francis J. Ricciardone Jr., to discuss the crisis, according to interviews with American and Turkish officials.
For days, American diplomats had been privately pleading that the Turks resist trying to divert attention by playing off the investigation as part of a foreign plot. But on Saturday, before the scheduled meeting, the machinery was obviously spinning.
Pro-government newspapers featured Mr. Ricciardone on their front pages, and later in the day the Turkish news media reported that the foreign minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, was set to call Secretary of State John Kerry and banish the American ambassador over an unspecified American role in the corruption inquiry. And Mr. Erdogan embarked on a series of speeches in which he, too, hinted at American treachery and suggested Mr. Ricciardone might be expelled from the country.
Mutual suspicion ruled the day, and the Americans called the meeting off.
It was only a couple of years ago that President Obama, struggling for an American response to the uprisings in Egypt, Libya and Syria, was said to be speaking with Mr. Erdogan more than the American president was to any world leader, with the exception of the British prime minister, David Cameron. And it was a source of pride for Turks: One newspaper at the time hailed the frequent conversations as a sign of Turkey’s “ascent in the international arena.”
“There was a honeymoon from 2010 until the summer of 2013,” said Soner Cagaptay, the director of the Turkish Research Program at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. “It was guided by the personal rapport Obama and Erdogan had established.”
That now seems a long time ago here. The reality, say analysts, is that the two countries’ foreign policies have been notably diverging, and that the blowup over the corruption investigation and the American diplomatic contingent is being taken as the latest sign of a deepening distrust.
They are at odds over Egypt, where Turkey had been a strong supporter of the deposed president, Mohamed Morsi, and where the United States has sought a relationship with Egypt’s new military rulers.
In Syria, Turkey has aggressively backed and armed rebel fighters, and felt betrayed when the United States backed away from military action against the Syrian government in September. In Iraq, American officials believe the Turks, by signing oil contracts with the northern Kurdish region that cut out the central government in Baghdad, are pursuing a policy that could lead to the country’s breakup.
And more recently, Turkey angered its NATO allies by signing a missile-defense system deal with a Chinese company that is under American sanctions for its dealings with Iran, North Korea and Syria.
The United States Congress has threatened to cut off subsidies to Turkey for the purchase, and NATO has said it would never integrate Chinese technology into its own missile-defense system.
At the same time, Turkey’s own domestic troubles — laid bare by the antigovernment protests in the summer set off by a government plan to raze Gezi Park in Istanbul, and now by the corruption inquiry — are coming under a harsh spotlight, with both crises now being linked by Mr. Erdogan to the United States.
In the case of the corruption inquiry, he has been able to do so because two of its elements do obliquely point to the United States, even if there has been no explicit evidence of a link.

And a Very Merry Christmas to the Growing Number of Christians Serving in the IDF
Beautiful. A brotherhood of man.
"Christians Serving In the IDF: A Growing Community" IDF Blog, December 25, 2013Today, as people around the world celebrate Christmas, Christian soldiers serving in the IDF are off duty and at home with their families for the holiday. The growing community of Christian IDF soldiers recently gathered for a special forum to recognize their contribution to the State of Israel.
Nearly 90 Christian soldiers from all over the country and from all IDF units came together earlier this week in Nazareth Illit for an event organized by the Israeli Christians Recruitment Forum. Although it has only been around for a little over a year, its impact has been astounding. Since its founding, the number of Christians enlisting in the IDF has doubled. According to the forum’s data, 84 Christian soldiers have enlisted since June 2013 alone. In previous years, that would be the amount to draft in an entire year and a half.
Some of the Christian IDF soldiers who attended the Israeli Christians Recruitment Forum.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed and thanked these outstanding soldiers in a special video message. “The purpose of this forum is clear: to engage Christians who serve in the IDF,” he said. “The importance of your actions goes without saying. I was pleased to hear that over the course of the past year, there has been a significant increase in the number of soldiers. I salute and support all of you.”
“I know that the mission is not always easy,” he added. “But we will be with you along the way. All of Israel is proud and thanks you.”
Father Gabriel Nadaf, a Greek Orthodox priest and president of the Forum, addressed the soldiers as well. “As a Christian spiritual teacher living in the Middle East, I understand that human rights are not something to be taken for granted. For that, I thank the Jewish people and the State of Israel,” he said. “I believe in cooperation between Jews and Christians and our shared fate in a Jewish country. I believe that we can contribute to Israel and I call on all Christians to join the army and help us to protect this country.”

Father Gabriel Nadaf presents a soldier with an ICRF award.
The founder of the forum, Major Ihab Shelian, who serves in the Israel Navy, was overwhelmed to see so many soldiers of the faith gathered together in one place for the first time, a crowd which included high-ranking officers as well. Certificates of appreciation were presented to all the soldiers.
Leading the Way For Christian Soldiers in the IDF
One of the soldiers who received an award was Lieutenant Tanus Eid, the first Christian to be an officer of the Ordnance Corps. Lt. Eid sat down with us to talk about his experience.
IDF: What is your role in the army?
Lt. Eid: I prepare the IDF’s military gear such as weapons and tanks. I also oversee weapon repairs.
IDF: Why did you decide to volunteer in the IDF?
Lt. Eid: It was a matter of ideology. Israel is my country. I was born and grew up here. I get the same rights as everyone else, so why not serve in the army like everyone else? I benefit from this country so I have to contribute as well.
IDF: If you could do it again, would you change anything?
Lt. Eid: There is no doubt that I would have joined the army, but perhaps in a different position. At first I wanted to get into the Border Police but after discussing it with my parents, I decided to serve in the Ordnance Corps.
IDF: How will you be celebrating Christmas?
Lt. Eid: The army gives us a holiday so we can spend Christmas with family. I’ll be with my friends and family to ring in a good year.
The IDF wishes all our Christian soldiers a Merry Christmas.

(Reuters) - At least 34 people were killed in three bombings in Christian areas of Baghdad on Wednesday, including a car bomb that exploded as worshippers were leaving a Christmas service, Iraqi police and medics said.
Elsewhere in Iraq, at least 10 people were killed in three attacks that targeted police and Shi'ite pilgrims, police said.
Iraq is enduring its deadliest violence in years, reviving memories of the sectarian bloodshed between Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims that killed tens of thousands in 2006-07.
