American Muslim Ahmad Abousamra grew up in Stoughton and graduated from high school there in 1999. He attended UMass-Boston and then later fled the United States in 2006, shortly after being interviewed by the FBI. The bureau says he is an associate of Tarek Mehanna, a Sudbury man convicted on four terrorism charges and sentenced to 17½ years in prison in 2012.

$50,000 Reward Offered for Information Leading to His Capture and Return to the U.S.

BOSTON (CBS/AP) – A man from Massachusetts has been added to the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List.

Ahmad Abousamra, 32, is a U.S. citizen from Mansfield who authorities believe may be living in Aleppo, Syria, with at least one child, a daughter, and extended family. He uses several aliases.

Abousamra grew up in Stoughton and graduated from high school there in 1999.  He attended UMass-Boston and then later fled the United States in 2006, shortly after being interviewed by the FBI.

The bureau says he is an associate of Tarek Mehanna, a Sudbury man convicted on four terrorism charges and sentenced to 17½ years in prison in 2012.  Investigators believe Abousamra met Mehanna at a mosque in Sharon and later moved to Mansfield.

In October 2012, the FBI announced it was offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to Abousamra’s arrest.

He was indicted in 2009 after taking multiple trips to Pakistan and Yemen, where he allegedly attempted to obtain military training for the purpose of killing American soldiers overseas. The FBI said he also traveled to Iraq in the hope of joining forces fighting against the United States, but said the exact nature of his activities there is unknown.

Prosecutors said during Mehanna’s trial that Mehanna and Abousamra failed to find a terrorist training camp.

In Nov. 2009, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Abousamra after he was charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to kill in a foreign country and other charges. He and Mehanna were charged in a later indictment with an additional count of conspiring to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, al-Qaeda. Abousamra was indicted on nine charges in total.

The FBI says he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Abousamra was born in France, is of Syrian descent and has dual citizenship in the United States and Syria. He speaks, reads and writes fluently in English and Arabic, and has a college degree related to computer technology.

Last weekend, Obama-backed Syrian jihadists executed 90 hostages in Adra. Now they have released photos from that massacre last weekend.

Obama-backed jihadists began their siege targeting Druze, Alawite and Christian residents early on in the siege of the city, kidnapping them en masse. Obama officials are negotiating with these barbarians:

New details of atrocities carried out by Islamist rebel fighters in the town of Adra, 20 kilometers north of Damascus, continue to pour in from survivors of the massacre there, in which reportedly at least 80 people lost their lives.

"The decapitators" is how the Adra residents, who managed to flee the violence there, now call the people who currently have the town under their control. Adra, a town with a population of 20,000, was captured by Islamist rebels from the Al-Nusra front and the Army of Islam last week, following fierce fighting with the government forces. The town’s seizure was accompanied by mass executions of civilians.(source: RT)

Adra massacre
Extremist militants have posted photos of people they have beheaded in Syria’s Adra, located near capital Damascus.

Survivors have been describing unprecedented levels of atrocities committed by the extremist militants who attacked their town to kill.

According to Arabic language al-Haghigha website, horrified people have been running away from Adra after witnessing militants attacking homes and executing people family by family.

A witness estimated number of militants was between 1,000 to 1,500, who entered the town on Wednesday, December 11th.

Another one described, “We woke up at (Wednesday) dawn with the sound of bullets... we saw men carrying black flags of Jaish al-Islam and al-Nusra Front. Some of them were singing ‘Alawites we have come to cut off your head’s song and this was the song they first sang at the start of the war in Idlib.”

 

According to reports, slaughtering people continued until Wednesday night, while hundreds were wounded and many were kidnapped and held by the militants to prevent the army of bombing the places they were hiding.

Another eyewitness said some of the Sunni residents tried to hide Alawites in their homes to save them from getting killed by Wahhabi extremists.
The Wahabbis even started issuing warning to Alawites through mosque speakers telling them to surrender themselves.

 

 

The events in Adra are a further example of the shift that has taken place within the Syrian rebel forces which has lately been dominated by extremists.

The war in Syria started in March 2011, when pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of Western and regional states.

The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.

According to the United Nations, more than 120,000 people have been killed and millions displaced due to the turmoil that has gripped Syria for over two years.

When thugs cry

The terror-tied jihadist group, Hamas-CAIR, has conjured up another fictitious report designed to advance a fallacious and supremacist victimhood narrative using school children (emulating Hamas, which uses children as human shields). The Council on American-Islamic Relations will hold news conferences in Anaheim, San Diego, Santa Clara, and Sacramento to release a "first-of-its-kind" report  about -- get this -- the bullying of American Muslim students in California schools.

CAIR's treacherous propaganda attack and incitement could easily provoke a Muslim backlash against non-Muslims, particularly among the devout and jihadist adherents much like the Wichita Muslim convert who tried to blow up the airport last week at peak travel time.

The irony is that Muslim student groups (MSA, MSU et al) are notorious for bullying, harassing and intimidating students -- especially Jewish students -- on school campuses across the country.

And recent FBI statistics show that the majority of religiously motivated hate crimes -- over 62% -- are against Jews. Anti-Muslim crime dropped off yet again (11.6%).

In a recent press release last week, Hamas operative and CAIR found Nihad Awad said:

"CAIR is working toward the day when being Muslim carries a positive connotation in society and Islam has an equal place among many faiths in America's pluralistic society.

This goal will be achieved not by reacting to daily events, but by having programs in place to foster mutual understanding."

In other words, ignore the slaughter in the cause of Islam. Ignore the daily reports of jihad here and abroad and instead submit to their training and dawah.

The latest Hamas-USA initiative to islamicize the public schools. Using the mask of victimhood, Hamas-CAIR recruits Muslim parents to provide them "information about how to request religious accommodation" in public schools.

Has CAIR apologized for falsely accusing and defaming people like me for the death of California Muslima Shaima Awladi -- when, in fact, she was  honor killed, beaten to death with a tire iron, by her husband? Shaima was honor murdered. Does CAIR investigate that? Does CAIR document the honor violence against Muslim girls in the US? Or institute programs in the mosques to address Islamic misogyny and honor violence? No. Instead, Hamas-CAIR incites an atmosphere of hate among Muslims. When Shaima Awladi was found dead, the Council on America-Islamic Relations (CAIR-San Diego) said: "Muslims were experiencing a notable increase in discrimination, bullying, and physical assaults."

That's who and what CAIR is.

Syria's Christians Flee to Turkey: "Christian leaders said Muslims out to destroy Christians"

Imagine the horror if Christians are fleeing to caliph-wannabe Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Turkey.

Christian leaders said they had no doubt the Muslim assailants aimed to demoralize and destroy Christians.

“The growing presence of fighters from radical Islamic groups battling the Syrian regime is increasing pressure on Syria’s ancient Assyrian Christians, many of whom are fleeing to neighboring Turkey.

At the Mort Smuni Church in the Turkish city of Mardin near the Syrian border, the service of St. John the Baptist is part of Advent, when an individual saint is celebrated every Sunday in the run-up to Christmas.

The members of the small Assyrian Christian community gathered for services are joined by fellow Assyrians who have fled from Syria, just a couple hours drive down the road.

After the services, Father Gabriel meets with church community elders to discuss how to assist the growing numbers of refugees.

Currently, they are supporting over a hundred families. He says the rise of Islamic groups fighting the Syrian regime is forcing many Christians to flee.

‘In Syria, the conditions for Christians is very bad,’ he said. ‘Last week they have kidnapped 12 nuns and, before, two bishops, and they killed many, many Christians and kidnap many persons and told them you must be Muslims.’

Isa Davut and his family fled to Syria earlier this year, after jihadists took control of the town they lived in.

‘The reason Christians no longer feel safe is that all these radical Islamic groups, jihadis, started to come to Syria,’ he said.  ‘Where we live, 10 churches have been burned down. They started to threaten Christians in the town we live. When the local priest was executed, we decided to leave.’

The Davut family lives just a short walk from the church. Home for the family of five is just one living room and a small back room. There is water on the floor from heavy rain leaking in from the roof. The back room is unusable because of the water. This Christmas will be a difficult one …” Read more.

 

"Turkey: Pressure mounts for Hagia Sophia to be converted into mosque"

Pressure? From whom? It's a church. Why isn't pressure mounting to return the historic church to the Christians once and for all?

Why reward Islamic supremacism and jihad? Muslim supremacists have been furiously converting churches into mosques. There have been a number of successful mosque conversions from former Byzantine churches, one in Trabzon in the northeast Turkey and another in Iznik, near Istanbul.

The most notable case of this, however, has yet to be completed: the Monastery of Stoudios, the largest Byzantine church in Istanbul, which will be converted into a mosque next year.

The Hagia Sophia is the most iconic and exquisite church in the world. The Hagia Sophia has been standing since 360 AD, built after the Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity and moved the capital eastwards.  

Just as the Dome of the Rock stands on top of the first and second Jewish temples in Jerusalem, this seizure of holiest of holies must be opposed and defeated.

"We currently stand next to the Hagia Sophia mosque," so said Turkey's deputy prime minister, Bulent Arinc last month during a dedication of a museum of Caucasus rugs and carpets next to the Istanbul landmark, according to the Religion News Service (RNS).

This speech was one in a line of recent statements, from offhand remarks to outright demands that the Hagia Sophia (also known as the "Church of Saint Wisdom" or "Divine Wisdom") be converted from a museum and local attraction back into a mosque.

"We are looking at a sad Hagia Sophia but hopefully we will see it smiling again soon," Arinc added.

One of the imams of the nearby Sultan Ahmet Mosque (locally known as the 'Blue Mosque') also reportedly preached a sermon that said its conversion must take place.

Although this has been an ongoing concern for many years, recent events have brought the issue into sharper focus. A campaign from the National Turkish Student Association has been targeting the issue aggressively in recent months. Also, there have been a number of successful recent attempts to convert former Byzantine churches into mosques. Arinc, in his speech, mentioned two churches that had recently been converted, one in Trabzon in the northeast and another in Iznik near Istanbul.

The most notable case of this however has yet to be completed, the Monastery of Stoudios, the largest Byzantine church in Istanbul, which will be converted into a mosque next year.

Engin Akyurek, a professor of Byzantine art at Istanbul University, has said in an RNS article this would be a disastrous loss to history.

"To use this building for some function, a mosque or anything else, would mean to reconstruct almost 80% of the building … it will not be a fifth-century building anymore. It will be a catastrophe for that building."

Some have pointed out that the belief that the Hagia Sofia should become a mosque again is linked to a Sharia law principle that if a building is ever used as a mosque, it can then never be used for any other alternative purpose again.

A historic example of this was seen during the siege of Jerusalem in 637 AD. After the siege, Caliph Omar travelled to Jerusalem because Patriarch Sophronius had demanded that he would only surrender to the Caliph in person. Once the surrender was agreed, the Caliph was shown around the city by the Patriarch. When they visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Patriarch offered the Caliph a portion of the Church to pray in. The Caliph refused, explaining "Had I prayed inside the church, the Muslims coming after me would take possession of it, saying that I had prayed in it."

International reaction to the potential conversion of the Hagia Sofia has been decidedly negative. Quoted by the RNS, in responding to Mr Arinc's speech, the Greek Foreign Ministry called the action "an insult to the religious sensibilities of millions of Christians and actions that are anachronistic and incomprehensible from a state that declares it wants to participate as a full member in the European Union".

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople, talking to Turkish newspaper Milliyet in February, said that "If it is to reopen as a house of worship, then it should open as a Christian church… It was built as a church and not a mosque."

The Hagia Sophia has been standing since 360 AD, built after the Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity and moved the capital eastwards. There is a legend that once the Church was finally completed in 597, and the Emperor Justinian made his first visit inside, he supposedly exclaimed 'Solomon, I have surpassed thee'."

It was over 850 years later, in 1453, that the Ottomon Turks seized Constantinople, taking possession of the magnificently domed building and repurposing it into a mosque, which it would remain as for almost 500 years. Then in 1935, under the secular Turkish Republic founded by Kemal Mustafa Ataturk, the government turned the Hagia Sophia into a museum, thereby sidestepping difficult sectarian conflict between the Islamic majority and the Christian minority.

Political analysts point out that with provincial elections on the horizon in March 2014, many conservative candidates from the Islamist-leaning Justice and Development party see converting former Byzantine churches as a means of energising and shoring up the religious base of their party. This is particularly necessary after widespread challenges to other parts of their agenda, such as increased restrictions on the sale of alcohol.

But many argue that while this strategy might work, it also has the potential to antagonise other religious groups and will definitely leave Turkey's historical heritage significantly damaged.

"Supporting the reopening of Hagia Sophia has become the litmus test of the true believer," said Professor Robert Ousterhout, the director of the Centre for Ancient Studies at the University of Pennsylvania to the RNS. "Protests by the academic community have fallen on deaf ears."

Vatican Chief Justice: Obama Administration's Treatment of Religious Freedom Contradicts America's Founding Principles

Obama favors one religion above all, Islam, and that is indeed a violation of the establishment clause.

Cardinal Raymond Burke, an American who heads the Vatican's highest court, says that the Obama administration's diminution of religious freedom in the United States “is an absolute contradiction of the founding principles of this nation.”

Cardinal Burke, who is chief justice of the Vatican’s Apostolic Signatura, made his remarks during a Dec. 13 interview with EWTN’s Raymond Arroyo on the program, The World Over.

Arroyo asked the cardinal about the Obama administration’s decision in late November to move the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See--he Vatican is a sovereign state--from its present location and place it within grounds of the U.S. Embassy to Italy.

That decision was roundly criticized by several former U.S. ambassadors to the Holy See, including Democrat Ray Flynn, who viewed it as a step down, a diminishing in the relationship between the United States and the Vatican.

Arroyo asked Cardinal Burke: “The question is, does that [the embassy relocation] in any way--is the perception, and I’ve been speaking to some of the former Vatican ambassadors and they are concerned about the perception of the message this sends to the Holy See, that somehow the United States does not think you [the Vatican] are worthy of having a stand-alone embassy any longer.”

Cardinal Burke said: “Well, it does give that impression, to be honest. But I have to say, given the way the present administration treats the Catholic Church in general, that wouldn’t surprise me too much.”

Then the cardinal turned to the Obamacare mandate saying: “This whole disaster on conscience rights and so forth--"

Arroyo: "The HHS mandate, contraception mandate, in the health-care law."

Cardinal Burke: "The whole question, the idea that, yes, you can have freedom of religion but it’s reduced now to freedom of worship, you can do whatever you want in the four walls of your church but, beyond that, what you believe in the depth of your heart is of no importance to the government of the United States of America--which, by the way, is an absolute contradiction of the founding principles of this nation. That the nation doesn’t care anymore, or the government, I should say, about this relationship [with the Vatican], I could believe it.”

Under the Obamacare contraception mandate, issued as a regulation by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), nearly all health insurance plans must provide coverage, without fees or co-pay, for  contraceptives, sterilizations, and abortion-inducing drugs. Only churches themselves, religious orders and the immediate auxiliaries of churches are fully exempt from the regulation.

Catholic hospitals, universities and charities are not exempt, or are individuals, even though contracaptives, sterilizations and abortion-inducing drugs violate Catholic teaching, and are considered serious sins.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has described this Obamacare regulation as an “unjust and illegal mandate” that violates religious freedom under the First Amendment, and explained that it affects employers and nearly all individuals, which the bishops said is a “violation of personal civil rights.”

In a joint letter last year, the two bishops for Virginia explained the circumstances and said, “We cannot – we will not – comply with this unjust law.”

“People of faith cannot be made second-class citizens,” said Bishops Paul Loverde (Arlington diocese) and Francis X. DiLorenzo (Richmond diocese).  “We are already joined by our brothers and sisters of all faiths and many others of good will in this important effort to regain our religious freedom. Our parents and grandparents did not come to these shores to help build America’s cities and towns, its infrastructure and institutions, its enterprise and culture, only to have their posterity stripped of their God-given rights.”

In February 2012, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) criticized the HHS rule in a speech on the House floor.  Boehner, a Catholic, said: "My colleagues, in recent days, Americans of every faith and political persuasion have mobilized in objection to a rule put forward by the Obama administration that constitutes an unambiguous attack on religious freedom in our country.”

“In imposing this requirement, the federal government has drifted dangerously beyond its constitutional boundaries, encroaching on religious freedom in a manner that affects millions of Americans and harms some of our nation's most vital institutions,” said the Speaker.

"If the president does not reverse the department's attack on religious freedom," said Boehner, "then the Congress, acting on behalf of the American people and the Constitution that we are sworn to uphold and defend, must."

Despite those assurances, the U.S. House of Representatives has worked out several federal spending resolutions with the Senate and the White House that include funding for the implementation of Obamacare, including the rule that Boehner himself said violates religious freedom in America.

"Lee Rigby beheading murder trial: Judge says 'being a soldier of Allah is not a defence" [at least not yet, anyway]

One has to wonder how long this legal precept will last when two legal systems are in direct conflict and competition in the UK -- British law and Sharia law. We see time and time again that anywhere that Western law and Sharia law conflict, it is Western law that must give way.

There are scores of sharia courts in the UK, and the number is only growing. It is only a matter of time before a defendent's claim of being a "soldier of Allah" will indeed be a permissible defense.

Any country that would ban me for opposing jihad is well on its way to sanction of warfare in the cause of Islam.

At the site of the murder, Mujahid Abu Hamza (Michael Adebolajo) said: "But we are forced by the Qur'an, in Sura At-Tawba, through many ayah in the Qu'ran, we must fight them as they fight us." More recently, he has said of the murder: "I obeyed Allah and that is the end of the story for me....I believe the best way to conduct any act is to copy Mohammed." If Britain were remotely a sane society at this point, such statements would trigger a searching public discussion of the teachings of Islam and the need for Muslims in Britain and elsewhere in the West to reject the elements of Islamic law and Islamic teaching that conflict with otherwise universally held principles of human rights. Instead, judges like this Whittam and even Prime Minister Cameron say that the crime had nothing to do with Islam -- and why? Because they really, really don't want it to.

BEING a “soldier of Allah” is no defence for the murder of Lee Rigby, a judge ruled today.

And prosecutor Richard Whittam QC told jurors at the Old Bailey Adebolajo and Adebowale‘s “barbarous” actions could only amount to murder.

Judge Mr Justice Sweeney gave a ruling there was nothing in the defendants' argument that they were acting as “soldiers of Allah” that could justify the killing.

He told the jury: "It is alleged that the defendants murdered Lee Rigby.

"I have ruled that nothing said by the first defendant (Adebolajo) and in particular his evidence that he was a soldier of Allah and was justified in doing what he did amounts in law to a defence to this count (murder) so nothing that he has said amounts in law to a defence to murder."

In his closing speech Mr Whittam said: "The actions of these two men, acting together as they did, crashing their car and breaking Lee Rigby's back, and then killing him is indefensible in law in this country.”

Lee Rigby was killed on May 22 this year in a shock attack.

Mr Whittam added: "Shortly before 2.30pm in Artillery Place in Woolwich Lee Rigby was slain by Michael Adebolajo who struck his neck with a sharp instrument...and it was sawed until his head almost became decapitated.

"That emotive description is based on how the first defendant described his actions in interview.

"These comments are not excitement or exaggeration, as he accused me of. That is how he viewed his actions on that day.

"It will be for you to decide the evidence in this case and to consider whether, despite his acceptance that both he and his co-defendant Michael Adebowale are responsible for killing Lee Rigby, it is murder."

The prosecutor claimed it was clear what the defendants' intention was when they bought knives from Argos the day before the killing, which were later used in the attack.

The next day Adebolajo picked Adebowale up in what was 'clearly a joint plan,' jurors were told. The court heard Lee Rigby, 25, arrived at Woolwich Arsenal station at 2.10pm on his way back to his barracks.

He is captured on CCTV wearing a Help For Heroes hoodie crossing the road in Artillery Place eight minutes later.

The defendants' Vauxhall Tigra is then seen to crash at a speed of 40mph into the soldier, breaking his back and leaving him helpless on the ground.

Witnesses described the defendants committing the “frenzied attack”

Rigby was then dragged into the street. His attackers, who also had a gun, waited until armed police arrived so, they say, they could be killed in an act of martyrdom.

But the prosecutor warned jurors "not to be seduced" by suicide being their sole intention.

Mr Whittam reminded the jury of eight women and four men that it was not Islam that was on trial.

"What is required, particularly in this case, is cool logic and sound common sense," he said....

Apparently not.

 

Marine faces dishonorable discharge after WARNING soldiers of Taliban insider attack that killed 3 US soldiers

According to President Karzai, the Obama administration said that the Taliban are "not our enemies." If not them, who? United States Marines and soldiers like Marine Reserve Maj. Jason Brezler or Lance Cpl Greg Buckley (below)?  It would seem so by the treacherous actions of the Obama administration. 

There's a stunning new development in the murder of  Lance Cpl. Greg Buckley Jr. Atlas readers are long familiar with the horrible murder of  Lance Cpl. Buckley. The murderer of this great American hero in one of a string of insider attacks was Aynoddin, the 19-year-old "tea boy" of Afghan District Police Chief Sarwar Jan. He was immediately captured following the shooting of Lance Cpl. Greg Buckley Jr and three of his fellow Marines. "I just did jihad," Aynoddin proudly shouted over and over.

"District Police Chief Jan, who supplied the assault rifle, most likely helped plan and certainly approved the attack was detained. The following day the Taliban claimed responsibility for the murders.
So why then am I still fighting tooth & nail to get justice for my son? In the weeks following his death The Marine Corps concluded their investigation, classifying it as a "Homicide". They then turned the investigation over to Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Since the day NCIS took over I feel we have been stonewalled. And to be perfectly honest I'm running out of patience. ...
I met with an NCIS investigator just last week, and all he seemed interested in was what I knew, & how I found out!
Then he told me I should fill out a Freedom of Information Act request form if I want to learn the results of their investigation, but it could take a year!
Through our own investigation we learned Chief Jan was released & The Pentagon wants to turn Aynoddin back over to the Afghans. Why? Because Our Commander in Chief thinks we must remain "culturally sensitive" to the needs of the Afghanistans! Screw Them!
I know this administration thinks we'll just go away but that will NEVER happen. I will not rest until I know why our soldiers were ordered to be unarmed, but Afghans were permitted to carry weapons on our bases. I will not rest until they explain why they allowed Chief Jan to be released. I will not rest until Aynoddin is tried as the terrorist that he is. And I certainly will not rest until they admit these Insider Attacks are in-fact Terrorist Attacks.

Back in August I reported  that a Marine who warned of this jihadi and a possible insider attack threat on Buckely and his fellow soldiers was facing career's end.

[When} Marine Reserve Maj. Jason Brezler was back in the states, he received a warning that a certain Afghan police chief was back on one of their forward operating bases in Afghanistan. He emailed back via his personal email his summary of the Afghan police chief, warning them that this Afghan police chief worked with the Taliban. The document he emailed though was technically a classified document and when he learned of his error, he reported himself to his command. His commanders didn’t see any issue as the document was of little importance. Brezler’s warning, however, was ultimately ignored and the child-molesting Talibani police chief’s ‘tea boy’ took his rifle into the gym and murdered 3 of our bravest and best, Staff Sgt. Scott Dickinson, Cpl. Richard Rivera and Lance Cpl. Greg Buckley Jr. A fourth soldier, Staff Sgt. Cody Rhode, survived despite being shot five times.

Next thing you know Brezler is being written up for his classified mistake (not by his commanding officers) by someone and now he faces a board of inquiry where he could be dishonorably discharged for his ever-so-slight transgression.

Brezler should be regarded as a hero for trying to protect our bravest and best who were unarmed when they were murdered. According to Allen West, they were not allowed to carry their weapons on the Forward Operating Base but this jerk police chief was allowed to carry his along with his ‘tea boy’.

He wrote him up? Sounds like one of the Muslim Brotherhood operatives Obama has embedded in his adminsitration's DoD, DoS, DoJ and DHS.

It's taken years but I am glad to see Megyn Kelly (and FOX) finally talking about this treachery.

Obama's Moderates: Ayatollah Khamenei Tweets Support for French Jew-Hater

Is anyone really surprised that the leader of the Islamic Fourth Reich would show public support for a vile Jew-hater? Not even Obama is surprised, I am sure.

"Ayatollah Khamenei Tweets Support for French Anti-Semite," Algemeiner but first flagged by anonymous blogger Elder of Ziyon on Monday.

As world powers praise Iran’s new “moderate” stance of President Hassan Rouhani, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, apparently showed his true colors on Monday, when a Twitter account  believed to be run by his office, tweeted support for a noted French anti-Semite and Muslim convert, Roger Garaudy, whose books have been banned as hate speech.

On December 16, the anniversary of the author’s most notable French trial, the account tweeted a picture from the author’s Facebook page, showing a portrait of the bespectacled older man in a three-piece suit, in front of a quote from Khamenei, himself, from 1998: “The Zionists are just like the Nazis.”

Alongside the image, there are three photos from the Holocaust, or films about it, and a recent photo, of an Arab, presumably in Israel, carrying the wounded.

In 1996, Garaudy published ‘The Founding Myths of Modern Israel.‘ The book claimed that the Jewish death toll in WWII was far lower than is widely believed, while the Holocaust, itself, as well as many of what he says are the founding notions of Israel, were myths.

Under France’s 1990 Gayssot Law, which prohibited the questioning of the existence of an event deemed as “crimes against humanity,” as defined in the London Charter of 1945, much of Garaudy’s book was shown to be illegal. His trial began in 1996 and he was convicted in 1998.

The book was banned, Garaudy was fined and he served a suspended sentence. Garaudy died in 2012.
