BURYING KING UZZIAH
You were made to bear My glory. Just as I fill My heavenly temple with the robe of righteousness, I offer that same honor to you. I am a King and I call you a priest and a king of my order. Let My righteousness shine through you.
BURYING KING UZZIAH
What does it mean to know Jesus and see Him as the face of a lion? Simple. It means you see Him as King. He is warrior – passionate and powerful. He is majestic, awesome and untamed.
The book of Matthew shows Jesus as a lion – our King. To add another layer to this revelation of the first of the four faces of Jesus, consider this: what is revealed in the New Testament, was concealed in the Old Testament.
This revelation of Jesus as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah in Matthew has its roots in the book of Isaiah. Isaiah means “God is my salvation.” Salvation is the face of a Lion. The beginning of Isaiah’s ministry can be found in chapter 6.
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of his robe filled the temple with glory.” – Isaiah 6:1
The first big revelation is easy to miss. “In the year King Uzziah died…” Isaiah is saying, that in the year his other king died, he started to truly see the Lord as King. I declare this is the year for your other king to die. You know, that thing that keeps you from truly knowing the Lord as your King of Kings.
The second revelation in this verse is all about what the King was wearing. Brother Isaiah was literally saying, “I saw the Lord as King and His garment glowed in the dark! It was literally made of righteousness.” He was overwhelmed by what he saw. That’s beautiful to me. I want to be overwhelmed with the righteousness of God while looking into the temples of the lives of believers like you.
You know you are the temple of the Holy Ghost. He lives in you and wants to fill you, His temple, with the train of His robe – righteousness. In the year your other king – bitterness, self, an unforgiving spirit, addiction – dies, you’ll start to see Jesus for the King He is and it’s awesome!
When you do, the Holy Spirit can fill you with righteousness you could never receive without the revelation of Jesus as your King. Do you want this revelation in your life? Do you want your ministry to begin? Bury your old king and crown Jesus today.

WE LIKE WEIRD
Before I knit you in your mother’s womb, I had a plan and a place for you. You have a destiny to fulfill that will glorify Me. As you seek Me, I will reveal that destiny and bring you into alignment for your Kingdom assignment.
WE LIKE WEIRD
Believe it or not my friends, tribes are God’s idea. And I’m going to tell you something that religious people will never ever tell you, God likes your weirdness, and get this – you and your weirdness belong in the Kingdom.
Now, religious folk will say we’re all suppose to look the same, act the same, and do things the exact same way because they’re about control. Religion is a Spirit and Jesus Himself rebelled against it.
That spirit is all about control, and religious folks are like, “Whatever you do, don’t be weird. Do it our way and don’t rock the boat.”
You know, you and your weirdness don’t belong to the world, but in the Kingdom. The sad thing is, there are so many people who believe in the Lord Jesus, but don’t believe there’s any place for them in the Body of Christ. They look at the Church and think, “I’m not like those people.”
Welcome to my world. I’ve felt like that all my life, so it’s strange for the Lord to make me a pastor and church builder. I’m not church-y. While I may not be church-y, I am all about the Kingdom and if you are too, you’re part of this tribe.
Are you too weird for church? Do you feel like you don’t fit in? If you love Jesus and want to rescue the lost from the clutches of the enemy, you belong in the Body of Christ.
You’re perfect for the Kingdom and you’re perfect for our tribe. Without us, you’re not all you can be, and without you, neither are we. We like weird and so does your Father.
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. – Romans 12:4-5

EMPOWERMENT PRINCIPLE NO. 1
Whether you understand it or not, you are in a war. Will you remember that you are fighting from victory and not for victory? Stand firm knowing that I have already won!
EMPOWERMENT PRINCIPLE NO. 1
The Bible tells us we are laborers together with God. With this mind, let’s look at one way partnering with God empowers us to be dangerous to the enemy.
People who partner with God are empowered to be more than a conqueror. Remember, if He empowers us, that doesn’t mean He does something for us, but that He removes all obstacles so that we can do something for ourselves.
I would rather be empowered than enslaved, but that’s just me. Our nation is going to hell in a hand basket because everyone wants free stuff. Our culture is declining quickly because people do not respect how they’ve been empowered to act. They don’t mind being enslaved to the rest of us as long as they have this, this and this.
Our appreciation for empowerment is a Kingdom understanding. It would be the equivalent of me sending you to college and paying your tuition, but I can’t make you go to class. I can’t make you pass or choose your major, though I’ve empowered you to become educated.
That is exactly the state of the Body of Christ. We are so empowered and yet we act like we’re not responsible for anything. We take care of our household while our neighbor struggles in darkness. Our churches build gymnasiums while millions perish in chains. People are going to a Christ-less eternity while we refuse to be empowered, to act.
Be responsible for your empowerment. Partner with God to conquer poverty, disease, hunger, sexual slavery, racial division, depression, addiction and loneliness. Conquer hell and its demons by bringing the One True God into the battle. He’s a man of war!
For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. – 1 Corinthians 3:9

WANT A HARVEST?
I’ve given you a field as your circle of influence. Prepare it by plowing into it, sowing, watering, and eventually harvesting it. I love watching you work the field. As it fills, I will expand your territory.
WANT A HARVEST?
The harvest doesn’t just happen and it definitely doesn’t happen because you are saved. The harvest isn’t guaranteed, yet the harvest is expected by God.
The responsibility for the harvest is not in Father’s camp. It’s in your camp. You have to be intentional about your relationships and your purpose.
The Lord might say, “There sure are a lot of weeds and a bunch of rocks in your harvest field. I noticed that you never plowed it, and I noticed you’re not committed to my harvest. Do you want one?”
You need to ask yourself that. Do you want to see a harvest?
Do we want to see unredeemed parts of our life become redeemed? You say, “Wait a minute. I’m saved.” You may be saved, but that doesn’t mean your whole life is walking in redemption. You’re body is dying right now because it’s not fully redeemed.
Is your marriage fully redeemed? Your family life, job or finances? Plow up those places where the ground is hard. Throw out the rocks with prayer and pull up the weeds with praise and thanksgiving. Go after a harvest in the areas that need redemption.
You know what they are. If you have a relationship with the Lord of the Harvest, set up a tent in His presence. Grab onto His power and let Him redeem that fallow ground so something good can grow.
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. – Matthew 9:37

SOMEDAY MY PRINCE WILL COME
I have purchased you back to me with a great price – the blood of My Son. Treasure the deposit of this transaction I’ve left inside you – My Holy Spirit – the Comforter, Counselor and Spirit of Truth. He will remind you of all I have said.
SOMEDAY MY PRINCE WILL COME
Snow White said it first, and all Disney princesses have repeated her hopeful melody with the words, “Some day, my prince will come.”
Well ladies and gentlemen, the Prince of Peace has come and, while many of us miss that today, even those Jesus Himself lived closest to just didn’t get it.
Look at the disciples when Jesus told them they needed to go to Bethany because their friend Lazarus was “asleep.” One of the disciples retorts, “Well if he gets to sleep, he does well” meaning “At least somebody here is getting some sleep because we’re not!”
The disciples are just so thick-headed sometimes. Why would they walk all that way because Lazarus was taking a nap?
Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.” – John 11:14-15
It’s pretty clear here that Jesus has a miracle up His sleeve, but those closest to Him missed it.
Then Martha misses it as Jesus shows up and not only says, “Your brother will live again,” but drops this huge hint right in her lap:
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” – John 11:25-26
Missing it that Jesus is God RIGHT NOW, that He has the power to raise the dead RIGHT NOW, Martha says, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” What?!? She’s saying, “I know you’ll be powerful some day, just not today.”
Someday my prince will come! Well, they didn’t have to wait until some other day because Jesus was fully man and fully God right then, just as He is today. Not only did He physically raise Lazarus from the dead 2,000 years ago, He raised you and I from the dead spiritually today – bought and paid for by His sacrificial death on the cross.
Don’t miss it! Jesus is powerful TODAY and you have the same resurrection power living in you. It’s called the Holy Spirit and Jesus Himself called Him “another.” Another what? Another Jesus – God in us!
Today is a great day to know your Prince has already come and His name is Jesus!

THAT ‘TA-DA’ MOMENT
My Spirit is alive within you. I don’t sleep, get distracted or forget where I am. I live in you and am with you in all things. I am your beloved and you are mine.
THAT “TA-DA” MOMENT
Let me blow your mind a little this morning. While we don’t really know what Jesus looks like, we really do. The face of Jesus is revealed in the book of Revelation, not through a painting or a stone statue, but found through His heart.
Check this out: the four seraphim that fly around God’s throne – each with four different faces on its head – are a great illustration of this.
The first face is the face of a man. The second is the face of a lion. The third is the face of an ox, and the fourth is the face of an eagle. The seraphim each have six wings and eyes all over its body – front, both sides and behind. That’s some tripped out stuff! What is that all about?
This: when they worship God and raise their wings, they can see in front, beside and behind them all at the same time. As they circle the throne, they get a prophetic revelation of something amazing Jesus did in the past, is doing now, and is going to do in the future.
What they see is so cool and so mind-blowing, they constantly cry out, saying,
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, Who was, Who is, and is yet to come.” – Revelation 4:8
It’s so life-giving to see how awesome Jesus is. And the most alive place in the universe is the throne room of the Lord Jesus Christ where these tripped out creatures circle the throne as Jesus goes, “Ta-daaaaa!” over and over again.
Although that happens eternally in heaven, it also should be happening in your life. How?
The throne of Jesus is also in your heart. The ongoing revelation of His goodness to you personally should be going on within you. It’s the whole motivation of why I preach. I pray all the time, “Lord, help me to show people how awesome You are.”
Do you see it? Today is a good day to let Jesus give you a Ta-da moment!

TRIBAL UNDERSTANDING
You not only belong to me, you belong to My Church. I love it when you are active and alive as a member of My Body. Share your gifts and I will pour out even more. The Body of Christ needs you as much as you need it.
TRIBAL UNDERSTANDING
Depending on where you’re at in the world, one of the things you come across is that tribes are uniquely different. Every tribe has its own weirdo stuff.
Though it use to be like that here in the United States, it’s not really like that here now. Why? Because everybody has the same media, which is the same language, so everybody can be controlled by the same spirit now.
It use to be there was a big difference between how Arkansas people acted and how Texas people acted. The cultures were completely different. You could just tell as soon as you were around somebody, you knew what region they were from. That’s a tribal understanding.
What do you value? What are you dedicated to? What things does your culture emphasize? Those things are tribal. Those things have to do with the people you self-identify with.
My tribe makes a big deal out of Jesus. We are dedicated to the least of these – the slave, widow, leper and orphan. We take care of the poor and don’t pressure them to become part of our church. Our culture emphasizes the presence of the Holy Spirit. Yes, we camp out around the Spirit, not a sermon.
My tribe worships with abandon and goes after upgrade and every spiritual gift Jesus is offering. We want more of Him so we can bring more people to Him. My tribe considers the unsaved as prisoners of a cosmic war between Satan and the One True God. We refuse to see them as wonton sinners unworthy of grace.
I love my tribe here at OpenDoor Church. If this sounds like you, we have the same tribal understanding. We’re just as weird as you are.
Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. – Philippians 2:2

THAT’S COMMITMENT
Some days it’s not about how you live, but what you stand for, regardless of your mistakes. Look around with spiritual eyes. Celebrate what I’ve done and what I am doing.
THAT’S COMMITMENT!
Why do the promises of God matter? Because God keeps His promises – each and every one, to each and every one of us. Now that’s commitment.
His promises are both a spoken and written commitment. If you’re not exactly sure how God is committed to you, or how God has defined His commitment, learn His promises. BibleGateway.com has discovered 5,417 of them in the Bible.
Why would Father God make so many promises? Because He loves being committed to you. He loves it! It’s not a burden to be committed to you. It’s His idea, not yours.
When my daughter had her first baby, she said she never knew she could love so much. I remember feeling like I could never love anything more than my kids. Then I had grandkids. Sorry, kids. I still love y’all, but grandkids are awesome.
Jesus says, “I promise you, this is how I am, and I want you to start living as if I had personally promised these thing to you, because I have.”
We have an ultimately personal God. Yes, He loves to make promises, and they are all for our good. So go after them. Mine them out of the Word and stand upon them. Declare them. Proclaim them and activate them.
The power of life and death is in the tongue, so commit to speaking life. Take Father God up on His promises and share them with a world in need of goodness. He says, “Yes” and you say, “Amen!”
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. – 2 Corinthians 1:20

UNCOMFORTABLE PLACES
I have set a shift in your heart and your mind. Where you once said, “No,” you will now say, “Yes!” You cannot increase the harvest when you say, “No.” Expect an abundant harvest in this new place!
UNCOMFORTABLE PLACES
Every one of us is a creature of comfort. We like things to go our way, not be too hard or too inconvenient. Well, guess what? God is not going to send or invite you into comfortable places. Nope.
That’s why He gives you His Spirit that He called, “the Comforter,” because He doesn’t invite you into any comfortable places. He just doesn’t.
He says, “You’re going to be in a place where you’re out of your league, over your head, not surrounded by people who love you and think you’re awesome. You’re going to be completely uncomfortable. But, I’ll be your comfort instead of the place I’m sending you.”
The Bible clearly says the Lord of Harvest expects a return on His investment in you.
“Therefore, pray the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” – Matthew 9:38
We are all laborers and that includes you! The problem is not the seed, or the ground. The problem is not enough laborers. Laborers are people who are willing to do the work toward the harvest of lost souls.
Are you willing to take on the agenda of the King? To commit to the Kingdom and plant seeds of truth, water them with love and watch the Lord of the Harvest bring in His crop in your life and the lives of those you touch?
Today is a good day to be uncomfortable. Get your hands dirty by tilling the soil of lost people’s lives. Plant a Kingdom seed!

NOT A TAME LION
I know the beginning from the end. You can trust me to lead you into the next season – a good season of revelation. Seek My face. I will show you who I Am “in time.”
NOT A TAME LION
There’s this scene in “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” that illustrates something really cool about Jesus.
Aslan, who is a type of Jesus, is walking away and the little girl, Lucy, says, “Where’s Aslan? Where’s Aslan going?”
Her friend, Mr. Tumnus, says, “Don’t worry. We’ll see him again.” Lucy asks, “When?”
He answers, “In time. One day he’ll be here and the next he won’t. But you mustn’t press him, after all, he is not a tame lion.” Then a revelation hits Lucy and she says, “But he is good!”
Man, when I first saw the movie, I just went, “Wow! That is such a great word!”
Listen, Jesus is good. But you ain’t gonna domesticate Him. Jesus is a warrior and He’s not going to jump through every single hoop you expect Him to. He’ll show up and He’ll be good. He’s a good “lion,” but He’s not a tame one. He’ll do what He wants to.
Just like Him coming to earth as a baby. Who knew? The Jewish people didn’t and I’m sure the angels themselves were baffled. The devil was also a day late and a dollar short. Why would the limitless God of the universe become a human baby, subject to time, sickness and death?
But He did. And He also lived the perfect life none of us could, then died a sacrificial death in our place. Who could have foreseen the cross? The disciples didn’t. Neither did the Pharisees. I’m sure the devil didn’t see it coming and he really didn’t see what came next, when Jesus defeated death and rose again.
You see, Jesus is not a tame lion. He’s going to battle. He’s going do what He wants and He’s coming again “in time.” Aren’t you glad He’s not a tame lion? Today is a good time to let Him be your Lion of Judah because He is good.
But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” – Revelation 5:5
