DO YOU HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT?
The Kingdom of heaven is at hand. My will and plan are being made manifest in both earthly and heavenly realms. Is it manifest in your life? Do you know your assignment? Awaken, oh sleeper! I will bring you into alignment and accelerate your destiny.
ALLOCATION OF ACCELERATION
In these last days, it’s important that you and I are in alignment for our assignment. We need to line up with what heaven has planned for us because lives are depending on you.
Alignment is about conforming your life to Kingdom causes. Believers need to have a monster Kingdom cause that is not just their union at work or their passion to play golf. I’m not against those things. I’m not a religious person. I promise you can find King Jesus with a golf club. He can show up on the 9th hole with an awesome revelation the same as He can show up at church.
What I’m talking about here is purpose. Are you in alignment to feed the hungry, rescue the enslaved, spread the good news through coaching young kids, counsel the broken-hearted or addicted? What is that Kingdom thing that floats your boat? That’s your assignment.
Not only do you need to be in alignment with the Kingdom, you need accelerated timeframes because the faster you get there, the more prisoners of war you can rescue from behind enemy lines.
The more things speed up, the more encounters you have with King Jesus. The more encounters you have, the more transformation you get to walk in. Hallelujah.
With that said, we need to have some serious Kingdom causes and there needs to be some stuff within us that just stirs us up and we’re moved to action. That’s assignment. Do you need an assignment? Do you need accelerated timelines to position you for Kingdom advancement and victory?
Call out to the Lord. Listen to His voice in the word. See what breaks your heart. If it breaks HIs as well, you’re probably in alignment. Ask King Jesus for an allocation of acceleration and buckle up! It’s going to be an epic ride.
And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now, our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. – Romans 13:11

ARE YOU MISSING YOUR BLESSINGS?
I have called you to be still and know that I Am God. When storms come, when mayhem clouds your thinking, cry out to Me. I will give you My peace so you can get still again. Know Me and My love for you.
WHILE BETHLEHEM SLEPT?
Folks think the people of Bethlehem were just too ignorant, self-absorbed, and busy to notice the baby Jesus being born. There’ve been many modern songs and sermons titled “While Bethlehem Slept,” but folks, let me tell you, I think it gets a raw deal in history.
Modern Bethlehem is a town of about 25,000 people. However, when Joseph and a very pregnant Mary were required to travel there over 2,000 years ago, it had only a few hundred residents. How do we know? By the size of the water well. That’s about how many people it could sustain.
So, Caesar decides to tax everybody’s wealth so he calls a census. This is a huge deal. It means everyone in the bloodline of David has to go back there, with their wealth, so the Romans can tax it.
Now, people were not bringing bags of money. They were bringing flocks of goats, sheep, cows, chickens – you get the picture. The Jews were only allowed to have as much wealth as they had reported. If they were found to have more, they’d be killed.
Think about a town meant for a few hundred folks being invaded by 2,000 to 4,000 people and every living thing they owned. Bethlehem was a madhouse.
When they got there, of course, there was “no room at the inn.” My friends, the word for “inn” in the Greek literally means “guest room.” While many people stayed with relatives, I can imagine the scandal of Mary being pregnant kept Joseph from seeking, or maybe being offered, shelter with any family he had – we really don’t know. One thing is certain, that rude innkeeper that seems like such a rat in all the movies is likely a myth.
What we do know is Caesar caused chaos. Chaos, disorder, confusion, turmoil – all will cause us to miss the truly important. Mayhem in our minds can cause us to ignore those who love us. Upheaval in one relationship can cause us to misjudge all our relationships. Confusion messes with our minds so depression, despair, and dependency begin to cloud our judgment.
We are a lot like Bethlehem. We so easily get overwhelmed. We want to see the miraculous thing God has set in our midst, but the enemy, or the in-a-me, brings havoc and that’s all we can focus on. It doesn’t have to be this way. Unlike Bethlehem, you and I have been given the mind of Christ. Let’s use it to see past the hell we’re going through and the pandemonium that’s been stirred up around us.
Be still and focus on Jesus. You don’t have to miss His blessings today or on Christmas.
I will hear what God the LORD will say; For He will speak peace to His people, to His godly ones; But let them not turn back to folly. – Psalms 85:8

WHAT ARE YOU FOCUSED ON?
Let your problems melt away in My presence. Do you not know My character? Have I not proven Myself worthy? Let Me work all things for your good. Focus on that – My goodness – and leave your inadequacy where it belongs – at the foot of the cross.
COMING INTO FOCUS
Intimacy is when you’re not just focusing on the problem you have, you decide to focus on how good God is, how real He is. You focus on the encounters you’ve had together, and you know He is pleased with you going after Him. You’re not wearing Him out.
This place of being focused on Him – His willingness and His adequacy in the midst of your terrible inadequacy – this place isn’t a religious relationship. It’s a real one. This is how you have victory and how you are an overcomer in every single part of your life.
People who seek God in a radical way, find God in a radical way. Don’t come before God telling Him how horrible you’ve been or what a bad sinner you are. That is the equivalent of an ugly woman saying, “Don’t you want me?” No!
What’s real is, Christ has made you beautiful and you need to go before Him and be beautiful to Him. What good is it for us to feed and love people, and minister to people if we don’t know how to minister to Jesus? We need to be ministers to the King and come before Him in a way that is pleasing to Him.
He has washed you white as snow. He calls you friend, family and has made you a joint heir to His eternal inheritance. He doesn’t want you coming before Him like a beggar or an orphan. You and I are told to be confident when we come before Him because He paid a great price for that.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16
Focus on Jesus. Your problems pale in comparison to Him. Let His awesomeness remind you that He finds you worthy because you’re His and He sees His reflection in you. Be confident because He is.

HAVE YOU MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE?
I have given you more authority than you believe. You play a major part in what happens in your life. Partner with Me through the Holy Spirit to make wise choices. Don’t be all willy-nilly about decisions. You have more control than you think.
YOU HAVE AUTHORITY
God is just so awesome His goodness can show up in anything. This whole thing about “if it’s God it will happen and if it’s not God, it’s not going to happen” is a trick the devil uses to make people reject God.
Let me tell you a cosmic secret: God does not always get His way. He will, once Jesus comes back, but right now He’s turned that over to us. Think about it. He wants people to love Him, but they don’t. He wants us to look to Him for provision, identity and destiny, but we want to do it ourselves, no matter how much it hurts us. We even try to work our way to heaven.
God doesn’t always get His way, but He does want to partner with us to bring heaven to earth. If we’re all in the bondage of trying to get to heaven, we won’t ever be Christians who bring heaven to earth. Check this out:
Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men … So I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing, but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.” – Acts 5:34-35, 38-39
People quote that say, “See, it’s in the Bible.” I say, “But it’s a Pharisee saying that.” You have to have some level of intelligence when you’re reading the Word of God. “But Pastor Troy, I quote it because it’s in the Bible.” You’re quoting the devil! You’re quoting the enemies of God! When Saul was under the authority of this man, he killed Christians. He honestly didn’t think he was doing anything wrong.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28
God cares about every aspect of you life, even your junk. He will show up and get good out of a bad situation. You have been given free will, so take authority over that. When Saul met Christ on that Damascus road he made the choice to serve him and became Paul. Have you made that choice?

IS THERE A WRONG WAY TO PRAY?
I Am yours and you are Mine. Through My Son, we have a relationship. You are precious to Me and I love to hear from you. I Am thrilled when you call out to Me. Whether in want or need, thanksgiving or complaint, boldly come.
A WRONG WAY TO PRAY?
Now, I’ve been all over the world and seen different cultures pray. People in Africa don’t pray the same as people in America, and people in east Africa don’t pray the same as people in west Africa.
When it comes to you, the Lord and your prayer time, there are different approaches. All throughout the Bible, there are different ways to approach the Lord to get different responses. I want to show you something about Jesus and one of the ways He prayed.
Let me tell you, Jesus prayed like a Jew. Know why? Because He was Jewish. He’s not offended at being Jewish at all, so you best not be offended at Him being Jewish.
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the Holy Angels. – Luke 9:26-32
The Word goes on to tell of the A-team – Peter, James and John – who walked up a mountain with Christ. They fell asleep up there and wake up to see Jesus, Moses and Elijah. The conversation they’re having is both legal – Moses represents the law – and prophetic – Elijah was a prophet.
It’s a big conversation and the brothers slept through most of this. They wake up and see the two men standing with Him. Do you notice that Jesus stands when He prays? He doesn’t sit or kneel, He stands.
There are many times a day I pray while driving. Eyes open, of course. So, are you understanding there is no formula? There is not wrong way to pray. The Lord just wants you to talk to Him, spend time with Him, and enjoy His presence.
“ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” – Philippians 4:6
Prayer is communication with the Father consisting of both talking and listening. It doesn’t matter if you sit or stand, fold your hands or raise them, shout or whisper. The only thing that matters is your heart. Jesus just wants your time and attention, not for His sake, but for yours.

READY FOR YOUR TEST?
I have made you and formed you in your mother’s womb to accomplish the plans I have for you. Don’t set limits on what I can do in you and through you. Expect Me to do the impossible in your life.
READY FOR THE PARTY?
As Christians, we passed the first test God gives in Rev. 20 – the Great White Throne of Judgment. How? Christ is our holiness. The second test is the Judgment Seat of Christ or the “Bema Seat” of Christ.
This test is for those who’ve been found in the Lamb’s Book of Life. It is after those who are dead and have been judged unholy. In this second test, He judges the holy according to how they served. That judgment is not of punishment, but one of rewards. This test is a party!
“But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is; and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” – Hebrews 11:6
This is something you need to know: you will participate and it doesn’t need to blindside you. There will be a test. Here’s what will be on this test: Did you serve? Did you conform your life to the image of God’s plan?
Again, this is not a heaven or hell issue. This is a reward issue. It is about how gave and served. Was your service man-made for your lifetime or was it Kingdom born for eternity?
The understanding of being rewarded is faith-based because it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. In 1 Corinthians 3, the Bible says Jesus Christ is the One who laid the foundation and you’re building on top of that foundation. The fact that you’re saved is the foundation of how you live the rest of your life.
Will your works die with you or will you serve the Kingdom venture be about Kingdom business – rescuing the lost and hurting through redemption in Jesus? Are you demonstrating Jesus, making Him famous and people are getting saved?
There will be a test. The Lord Jesus Christ has given you the cheat sheet. If you have given your heart to Jesus, you can serve now and on that day when you stand before the Lord, you will be rewarded. It will be a good day to hear Him say, “Well done good and faithful servant.”

WHAT’S YOUR PLAN?
Just as I do not demand your love, I also do not demand you follow My good and perfect will for your life. I ask for your involvement, you partnership. Together, we can bring your destiny into focus for your ultimate good.
THE PLAN FOR PARTNERSHIP
God could demand your love, but He doesn’t. Love demanded is not love. He could demand your obedience, but He doesn’t. His will for your life, His heart for you, is a lot like His love. He wants your permission and involvement.
Yes, God Almighty is looking for you to partner with Him. You can’t just say, “If it’s a God thing, it will happen. If it’s not, it won’t,” especially as you and I tend to get in His way.
Here’s what’s real about partnership: you can find your identity, purpose and destiny through many avenues – all connected to the awesome heart of God. Here are just a few ways to get with His program.
Praise and worship as a weapon
Stewarding environments
Declarations and decrees to be made
Obtaining the mind of Christ
Going after the power of binding and loosing
Being connected to the right people for Kingdom advancement
Principles of pulling and casting down
There is also the word of your testimony and so much more. In short, we must cooperate with God by being sold out to His heart being revealed in any situation.
That’s still easier said than done. As human beings, we tend to jump on the defense when life brings trials. Truth is, that is exactly when our faith and everything we’ve learned ought to kick into high gear. Non-Christians are watching us to see how we will react to this or that. The good news is, so is God.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Luke 10:19
We tend to focus on the serpents in this scripture, but if you read it, it also says we have power over all the power of the enemy. That power is partnership with the Holy Spirit. Do you know His plan? Get with the program and go after God’s will for your life.

ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN IN NAME ONLY?
You look the most like Me when you’re serving. When you’re giving, helping, loving – that’s when it’s like looking in a mirror and seeing the gift I gave you before time. You are made in My image. Demonstrate Me and find life.
SERVE SOMEBODY
I tell you all the time that my greatest fear is to live a powerless life. Nothing scares me more than insignificance. Showing up in heaven empty-handed? That is a terrifying thought to me. It should be to you too.
That’s why I want to live an epic life. Epic means heroic, majestic, impressively great. Jesus lived an epic life – he really did. Though His days were spent in a carpenter shop, working, walking, talking, eating, sleeping and doing all the same things we do in a day, He made His time count.
He loved and served. The Bible says He healed “all who came to Him,” not to show off, but because He “had compassion on them.” Although we like to focus on His miracles and say, “Now, that’s epic,” it’s His selflessness and service that makes His life so phenomenal that the story of His life is still on the best-sellers list some 2,000 years after His epic departure for heaven.
See what I did there? Yes, His ascension is cool, but His love, His redemption, His kindness – those things defined Him and they should define us as well. We don’t want to live a nominal life. Nominal means existing in name only or very small.
Are you a Christian in name only? Do you demonstrate Jesus by serving others, giving selflessly, and loving recklessly? It’s up to you if your walk in Jesus is epic or if it’s nominal. You’ve got to get off the couch and help somebody. That is your purpose – to bring heaven to earth so God Almighty can be glorified through your good works.
I want to have the power of the Holy Spirit in my life. I want to see the goodness of God in the land of the living and I’m bound and determined to live that because I believe I have permission to live that. You have that permission too. Do you believe it? My friend, you have permission granted to live an epic life in King Jesus, so serve somebody.
In your lives, you must think and act like Christ Jesus. Christ himself was like God in everything. But he did not think that being equal with God was something to be used for his own benefit. But he gave up his place with God and made himself nothing. He was born as a man and became like a servant.

CAN GOD TRUST YOU WITH SOMETHING BIG?
I Am My beloved’s and My beloved is Mine. You are My beloved. I planned your purpose before the foundations of the earth. I have good things for you. Partner with Me to walk out your destiny and bring Me glory.
GET WITH THE PROGRAM
You need to be famous for Who you stand with – Who you stand for. That is the Jesus Christ way of doing things. Amen.
So the angel of the Lord shows up to Joseph, not in person but in a dream. That’s very interesting because the angel of the Lord showed up to Mary in person but he showed up to Joseph in a dream and tells Joseph that this is real and he needs to get with the program. Boom. Dream over.
Joseph wakes up and knows this is real. Again, the character of Mary and Joseph is so different. God doesn’t have to perform a hundred miracles for them to get with the program. They immediately recognize what and where God is and they get into alignment for their assignment.
Mary and Joseph could be trusted with this thing and there has probably never been two other human beings that God could trust with this miraculous birth the way that He was able to trust Mary and Joseph. Can God trust you like that? Or does He have to jump through a thousand hoops to get you to cooperate with Him?
Mary cooperated by saying yes despite the possibility of being stoned to death by those who would not believe her, even her beloved Joseph. Joseph got with God’s program. He not only spared Mary, but took the ridicule, shame, and weight of every accusation upon his shoulders.
They are famous for who they stood with – each other – and who they stood for – Jesus, son of God Almighty. Can the same be said of you? Stand for Jesus. Get with God’s program for your life and walk in your destiny. I promise it will be indescribable!
“But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.” – 1 Peter 5:9

DO YOU WANT A DATE WITH GOD?
I love an invitation. That’s why I have extended so many to you. I invite you into My presence, into My blessings, favor, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Extend an invitation to Me. Don’t be afraid. I will never leave you nor forsake you.
OPEN UNTO YOU
If you don’t have ongoing, powerful encounters with King Jesus, your relationship will begin to fail and you find yourself loving God from a distance. Who moved? You did!
Remember, encounter is the key to intimacy and intimacy is all about transparency. If you need to have a powerful encounter with God, start working it before you go after it.
Here’s an example from my life. I’ll say, “God, will you meet me here tonight at nine?” And all day long I’ll say, “God, I know You’re going to be there tonight.” Then, when I go into that secret place, God will be like, “Tadaaaaaa!”
How you are willing to be relational quantifies how God is willing to be intimate. Intimacy with God means the secret place. It means revelation knowledge that changes everything.
This is really about focus. Learning how to keep your heart and mind focused like a laser beam on God’s heart – where you make yourself vulnerable because you don’t have a plan B and you just decide to trust Him. You’re all the way in.
Isaiah made a stunning promise to keep his focus – his trust – on God.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” – Isaiah 26.3
That is intimacy. You’re not just focusing on the problem you have, you’re now going to focus on how good and how real God is. You’re going to focus on the encounters that you’ve already had with King Jesus, and that He is pleased with you going after Him.
Know this: You’re not wearing Him out. He doesn’t get tired of you or annoyed by you wanting His time and attention. Those things are limitless. He never says, “Oh, no! It’s Troy again!” I promise you, He’s never going to say that about me or you. He’s just not.
So, make a date with King Jesus. Set a time and a place to meet with Him. Tell Him you want to know Him more and that you’re going to be transparent about an issue you’ve been holding back. Go to that secret place and watch that door open unto you.
