GOD MAKES ALL THINGS NEW

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Behold, I make all things new. When you said yes to My love and sacrifice I made you anew. Don’t fear revealing your areas of weakness and defeat to Me. I will redeem those battlefields and bring you victory.

WALKING IN NEWNESS

There’s a huge battle in each of us. Are we walking in the way of the flesh or walking in the newness of life? You see, God Almighty has offered us freedom – newness each and every day. Why would everybody reject freedom? Because they reject Him

Newness doesn’t come from knowing the secret handshake, learning Scripture, or going to the right church. It comes from following the Lord Jesus Christ. If you reject Jesus, you reject your chance for freedom.

You and I should walk in the newness of life – not the flesh. If we’re going to have intimacy with God, then some spiritual “babies” will be produced in our lives because the byproduct of intimacy is newness – new life.

Every single time you and I run to Him and let Him into secret places of our heart that we don’t allow anybody else into, it’s the beginning of newness. Something is being born and it’s a brand new opportunity for us to walk in the newness of life.

And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” – Revelation 21:5

Have you let Jesus into that secret place in your finances? You know – the place where all the defeats have been buried deep under excuses, where the truth lies hidden from human eyes because it’s too painful to look at? Jesus ain’t scared of your financial pit. He actually wants to jump into it!

Once He walks through that door, some financial “babies” will be born because He’s going to give you ideas, opportunities, and relationships that will bring newness to this graveyard of lost dreams.

The point of revival is newness. The point of revival is transformation – heaven invading earth. When you let heaven into your finances, your marriage, health, job, relationships, thinking, talking – when you let Jesus into any area of your life – hell is diminished.

What hell do you want to diminish in your life? Today is the day to open the door to Jesus and say, “I’m walking in newness.”

ARE YOU READY TO SERVE?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Walk in the freedom of My grace and love for you. Do not be burdened by things you feel you have to do to please me. I Am already pleased with you and invite you into My presence anytime, anywhere, always.

OVERCOMING BY SUBMITTING

I’m against slavery. Are you? How many slaves are you saving today? “But Pastor Troy, I can’t get involved.” There are more slaves alive right now than there has ever been in the history of the world and you can’t help somebody?

I don’t mean to be ugly, I’m just saying that we can’t fool the Lord. You see, that place where the rubber meets the road is how we serve. Not our theories or what we say we would do. Not what we wish would happen, but how we actually serve. Jesus understands this.

There are going to be many of you who have stood with us in rescuing slaves and Jesus Christ is going to say, “Thank you for coming and rescuing Me when I was being abused.” You’ll ask Him, “Lord, when did I ever do that?” He’ll say to you as He did to His disciples.

“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it one of the least of these My brethren you did it to Me.”— Matthew 25:40

It is in the place of serving where you find authority. It’s in that place the Spirit of God is made manifest.

Out of all the forms that Jesus could have taken, He humbled Himself and became a servant.  He didn’t come in the form of a banker, a powerful king or military leader, Jesus was a servant, Why? Because He had to have authority. It’s in serving that we are given authority. It gives you authority over the devil.

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7

The word submit means “to line up under” or “to act as a soldier that is serving in the military.” You don’t only get authority from resisting the devil. You get authority through submitting to the Lord then you act upon your authority and confront the enemy. Be that servant submitted and serving in your God-given authority.

GOD SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I understand all languages, for I gave them. I hear you when you cry out, when you shout and when you can’t find words. I long to hear from you whether you speak quietly, shout or sing. I speak your language.

GOD SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE

If you’re religious, there’s one way to do things and everybody has to do things your way. It doesn’t matter if you’re a mainline denomination or a Muslim, religion is religion. It always cares more for traditions than people.

Unlike religion, in the Kingdom, there’s variety. The Word tells us that before the throne there’s every nation, kindred, and tongue. Not everybody speaks the same language in heaven. Yes, the Bible says that.

While that may bother you, God is not threatened by that. All that variety adds something beautiful. Prayer is just like that. There is the treasure chest of meditation, prayer, declaration, prophesying, shouting, calling, and crying out.

Sometimes, a formal prayer seems appropriate. Other times, all you’ll know how to do is pray in the Spirit. Still other times, your soul cries out silently.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. – Romans 8:26

I admit it. I pray loud. There are three English words used for high volume prayer; shout, cry out, and call. There are going to be times you’re not going to know what to pray but you’ll know you can’t do it quietly. Those are the times you shout “Jesus!”

There’s power in the way you approach the Lord. You need to have spontaneous prayer, supernatural prayer where you pray in the Spirit, and well-crafted prayers that you comb through scripture to find. These are prayers you think about and write out to convey an exact longing or message.

There are many ways to pray and the way you approach the Lord is all your own, so come before the King. Do you believe there’s a big payoff for prayer? Whisper, groan or cry out. He speaks your language, unspoken or not.

WE NEED YOU THERE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I have made each of My children unique. I speak to you and reach you with My word in different ways. I love diversity and long for you to embrace it so you can align with the purpose and plan I have for you – only you.

WE NEED YOU THERE

I see, hear and go after God in tons of different ways. I may be a pastor, but I have my favorite pastors, books, websites, and devotionals, just like you do. Add to that the experiences I’m willing to have and you have a rocket about to launch.

I’m the perfect guy to be a world traveler because I feel just at home in Uganda as I do in Texas. I don’t feel like I’m in a foreign country. I like diversity and that doesn’t come from Texas. It comes from heaven.

Food is another issue. Leanna has actually cried over bad food. Yes, it was monkey and yes it was very, very fresh, but my point is, I don’t really have a gag factor. If I don’t like something, I just move on to the next thing.

It’s the same with getting the word into my life. When somebody says something I don’t like or it has a different spin, I just go, “I don’t need any of that, thank you very much.” I dismiss the thought then I’ll keep listening. I’m just weird like that because I have a huge value for the word in my life.

So many times, we hear something we don’t like and we say, “I’m never going to that church again.” Or, “That doesn’t line up with my beliefs so that person is a false teacher.”

Before you make any rash decisions or go trashing people on Facebook, think about this: every preacher has their assignment. Their assignment may not speak to you, but it’s not supposed to.

Kenneth Copeland is all about faith. Joyce Meyer is all about emotional and mental victory. TD Jakes preaches about getting up and overcoming. Joel Osteen is all about hope.

If you don’t like their message, their delivery, their hairstyle, or you have an issue over their fancy house or private plane, I have this to say – get over it! They are in alignment for their assignment. You’re just not part of it.

When Christians badmouth other preachers, other denominations, or take any opportunity to show how holy there are by criticizing a man or woman of God they don’t agree with, they are doing untold damage to the Kingdom. They are stepping away from the unity Jesus prayed for us to have.

…that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. – John 17:21

Folks, we need to be known for who and what we stand with, and that is Jesus. We don’t have to agree to have unity. We don’t have to like or accept everything we read or hear from every preacher. Find who you can align with and go after hearing the Lord speak.

Get into alignment for your assignment. We need you there.

AWAITING THE APOCALYPSE?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Are you looking to My coming on the clouds? I Am returning for a bride, My beloved Church. I sacrificed all to acquire her. Make yourself ready. I Am coming soon. Watch with expectation.

AWAITING THE APOCALYPSE

I love the book of Revelation, which John himself named “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.” To me, this book is a great comfort, but most people think the Revelation of Jesus is the worst thing that could even happen. Why? Because the word “revelation” also means “apocalypse.”

Apocalypse does not mean total disaster – the end of all things. The word apocalypse means you finally get to see the thing you’ve really needed to see. It means, ‘Tada!’ It’s the revealing or the unveiling. It’s like being at a party and hearing the shout, “Surprise!”

It’s a good thing.

The revelation, the apocalypse, or the unveiling of Jesus Christ to John was incredible. The brother was whisked off the planet, traveled through time and space, and ended up in the heavenly realm. It’s just off-the-chain, stupid cool.

Why? Because Revelation is a book of majesty. Majesty is how Jesus rules and reigns. It’s what things are like when He’s in control and has dominion over something. The book of Revelation is about how Jesus rules over all. And what is it like when Jesus has dominion – when He rules and reigns?

It’s peace. That’s what it is – peace.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. – Psalms 37:37

The end of the Bible isn’t the end. It’s peace and that’s your end as well if you love Jesus and are awaiting the apocalypse. Peace be with you!

DROP THE SPOON!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I gave My life so you could not only have life instead of death, but an abundant life right now on earth. I have made you for more. Claim it. Go after it. It is already yours.

DROP THE SPOON

Do you know that your life is really a big deal and needs to be lived well? Truth is, God is trusting you to live the life He paid for you to live! There’s a big difference between an epic life and a nominal life.

Epic means heroic, majestic, impressively great. Nominal means very small. And what’s real is, it’s up to you if your walk with Jesus is epic or nominal.

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”  – Luke 6:38

Think about it. Living a nominal life is like going to the ocean that is God and taking a teaspoon. I want to take a bucket! Heck, I just want to swim in all the good things He has for me. He’s not a stingy God!

This verse says it’s up to YOU, not God, to determine how much of the kingdom you get into your life. The Bible says the promises of God are always “yes and amen.” God has already said, “Yes,” and your job is to say, “Amen.”

“Yes,” is what God says. “Amen” or “let it be established’” is our response to that.  What does that mean? It means this: it is one thing for God to reveal to you His plan, it is another thing for you to conform your life to the image of His plan!

So, epic or nominal? It’s your choice. You can live the life of abundance Jesus wants for you, or scrape by always being disappointed in God and yourself for the struggle that your life has become. Drop the spoon and dive in!

ARE YOU SCARED?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

My Father is an unchanging God. The same Holy Spirit I sent to the apostle Paul, I have also sent to abide in you. None of us will ever leave you. The Holy Spirit intervenes for you, as do I. Fear not!

DON’T BE SKEERD!

As your relationship with God the Father is individual and unique, so it is with your prayer life. Prayer is very personal. Let’s take a look at a few examples of deep prayer that can take you to the next level.

We need to have spontaneous prayer. We also need to have supernatural prayer where we pray in the spirit. Then, there are well-crafted prayers – prayers that you think about. Prayers where you write out the sentence using specific, meaningful language. This is for people who are committed to a deeper walk, who really believe and want to go after it!

Do you have a value for prayer and approaching God in specific ways for specific situations because you believe there’s a big payoff for that? I do because I know God wants to respond to these things.

Sometimes, all you can do is cry. There are times a spirit of crying will move upon you when you get in the presence of the Lord. God cannot resist a broken and contrite spirit. The Lord will move that spirit upon you so that He cannot resist you.

It’s like perfume to Him. This may happen during worship, as worship can be prayer as well. It may happen during alone time with God, in your car, in the shower or it may come upon you in the midst of the church congregation.

Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. Ephesians 2:18

The same Holy Spirit that gave the apostle Paul and other Bible heroes access to The Father freely offers the same access to knuckleheads like you and Me.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. – John 4:24

Not only are we to worship Him In spirit, but truth as well. We must be authentic! Fake faith will not bear the fruit God intended for your life. This verse is about prayer. It’s about coming before God without walls, with intentionality, expecting He will honor your heart and move in your favor.

What are you waiting for? Are you skeerd? You shouldn’t be. Your Father has promised never to give you a stone when you ask for bread.

BLESSING OR CURSE?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Just as love hopes all things, believes all things and endures all things, I never fail you because I Am love incarnate. When the enemy or the in-a-me descends don’t fear. Pain is for the night but joy comes in the morning as you see working for your benefit.

BLESSING OR CURSE?

Not every blessing looks or feels like a blessing. If you’ve walked very long with Jesus, you’ve experienced pain, rejection and things that feel like a curse while you’re in the midst of them. Perspective is everything. Take Mary mother of Jesus for example.

There she is, laying there in a sheep stable giving birth for the first time. She’s just a teenager going through that tremendous pain only women know about, wondering if if’s suppose to feel like this or if maybe something is wrong.

Her mama’s not there and the women of Joseph’s family have shunned her and thrown her out with the livestock to fend for herself with a husband who didn’t have any idea how to help her. They had to have felt tremendous shame.

I can just see her laying on the floor of that stable remembering the words of Gabriel. “Hail Mary, you’re blessed. You’re the most highly favored woman anybody’s ever seen.”

I can also imagine her going over those words saying, “Didn’t God say I was going to be blessed? That I was special to Him and favored? This doesn’t feel like favor or being blessed.”

While most of us would be cursing the Lord or begging Him to take this away from us because we’ve changed our minds, there is no recording of Mary doing so. While she had to be feeling cursed, at that moment, Mary had to have faith that the angel told her the truth. This may be bad, but something good would come out of it.

Have you ever lost a job and felt like the biggest loser? Maybe you thought God brought that on you and you shook your fist at the sky asking, “Why? What did I do to deserve this?” only to look back a few months later and realize that job loss was actually a blessing. Maybe it allowed you to move on to something better or escape something you didn’t realize was eating you alive.

God is not in the cursing business. He’s in the blessing business and business is good. He even takes those blows life deals us and works them out for our good. He did that for Mary and He promises He will do that for you too.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28

HOW ARE WE TO SERVE OTHERS?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Come into My presence. Bask in My love for you. See My heart for you and know you are never alone. Let Me fill you to overflowing, that those you serve might know Me too.

HEAVENLY SERVICE

There is a way of serving that is selfish, but there is also a way that is heavenly. Up until the time of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it never occurred to the world – savage or civilized – to serve one another. Selflessness doesn’t naturally happen within people.

In all the studies of the Egyptians, Babylonians, Medes, Persians, Greeks, Romans – in all the cities they have uncovered they have never found one single orphanage. Not one. They have never found one single hospital or home of the poor. Why?

Because it never occurred to humanity until the Gospel was preached, that we ought to serve other people. People didn’t serve each other before Jesus showed up. Mankind without the Gospel of Jesus Christ is self-serving. We are encouraged by Paul to do what does not come naturally to us,

“Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” – Philippians 2:4

It is so easy to be caught up in our own world and not to notice the needs of those standing right in front of us – not to mention those suffering all around the world. The more you and I understand the Gospel and God’s heart toward us, the more we want to serve others.

“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”— Matthew 10:8

How are we to serve people? How do you reach a leper for Jesus? You touch them; you hug them and put your arm around them. You know how you reach a blind person for Jesus? Put your hands on their face and tell them you’re looking at them and they’re beautiful, that you see them. If we won’t do it for them what makes us think you’d do it for Jesus?

”Now, we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”— 1 Corinthians 2:12

Ask God by His Spirit to remind you of all the ways He has freely given to you. Now ask Him to show you where He would have you freely serve others.

IT WILL BE ALL WORTH IT

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

My word says I Am Spirit. I use My children to impact your world. I offer you the opportunity to be used to make a difference for My kingdom – to manifest heaven on earth. It is a privilege as well as a huge responsibility. Jump in! I’m waiting.

ARE YOU PREGNANT?

The Word says “your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” It’s one of the best-known verses in the Bible, but also the most misunderstood.

To clarify, the power, the presence, and the promises of God are in Heaven. Here on earth, there’s the potential for everything kingdom, but those things need to be brought here. You and I are fighting for heaven to invade this earth – for Jesus to become King and reproduce heaven through us.

For that to happen, you’re going to have to partner, or co-labor, with God. Emphasis on the word “labor.”

Now, the word labor doesn’t just mean to work. It’s more in the line of working to have a baby. We’re the Bride of Christ! We get to know God’s presence and promises intimately. God puts something in our hearts and in our spirits that nobody else sees there.

Because of this, we have the responsibility of “carrying” this thing within us. My friends, it’s a big responsibility to carry these promises all the way through until we can finally see them come to fruition.

And labor isn’t easy or painless. You and I are going to have to pay a painful price for the process of delivering this thing, or these people, into the Kingdom. Our time, our talents and treasures – our reputations and relationships – all will be asked of us to bring heaven to earth in our lives and the lives of those headed to hell in the proverbial handbasket.

Even the Word says there’s no such thing as a glorious birth without a painful price attached to it.

For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. – Romans 8:22-23

That pain and effort will be worth it when you see the people you love living in eternity. When you lay down your crown at Jesus’ feet and give Him the gift of saved men and women, the pain will be worth it – all of it. Are you pregnant?
