THIS IS A TEST

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I created you for relationship – to be an heir to My glorious Kingdom. That Kingdom and its benefits are limitless. There is enough for all. Bring others to the table so I can call them family.

THIS IS A TEST!

When you get to heaven, there are two tests. The first test is a test of holiness. If you’ve given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, you’ve passed! Jesus’ righteousness has been credited to you as an A+.

If you haven’t, your name is not in the Lamb’s Book of Life. So, get yourself saved and your name engraved in those pages so you can be holy or “set apart” for the Kingdom.

The second test is the Judgment Seat of Christ or the “Bema Seat” of Christ. This test is for those who have been found in the Lamb’s Book of Life. The Bible says after those who are dead that have been judged unholy, then He judges the holy according to how you served.

“But Pastor Troy, you mean Jesus is going to be mad at me because I didn’t do enough nice things for people?” No! The test of the Judgment Seat is not for punishment, it’s for rewards. This test is a party!

This is something you need to know: you will participate and it doesn’t need to blindside you. Here’s what’s on this test: Did you serve? Did you conform your life to the image of God’s plan? Did you love others and reflect Jesus through your actions and help some people get saved?

This is not a heaven or hell issue. This is a reward issue. Were your works – how you actually lived your life and served – were they man-made for your lifetime or were they Kingdom born for eternity?

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we for an imperishable. – 1 Corinthians 9:24-25

You’re to strive for imperishable or eternal service – service that brings people closer to Jesus and testifies of His goodness. That is your sole purpose in this life – bringing people to a saving faith in Jesus. Will you pass the test?

WHAT’S YOUR FINISH LINE?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

While I Am the same yesterday, today and for eternity, that is not My plan for you. You were made to grow and change, to mature and transform. Do not fear this process. My promises are worth striving for.

YOUR FINISH LINE

I can’t tell you how important it is to understand that the depth of your relationship with Jesus determines the depth of your intimacy with Him. Likewise, the depth of your intimacy with Him determines the secret that is revealed to you.

The reason so many people in the Body of Christ do not know what I’m telling you is because religion has taught them that everything is about getting saved. It’s true. Religion tells us when we get saved everything will be great as if Jesus never said,

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

There is faith unto salvation, but there’s another world of promise you’re qualified for once you get saved. The key to unlocking those promises is intimacy. If you never move from being a child of the King to a servant, then a friend, then a bride, you’re not living the fully redeemed life Jesus died to offer you.

Let me say it this way: if you halt between two opinions –as the Bible says – then you’re going to live a bipolar Christian lifestyle. What about the sin in your life? If you’re saved, you are qualified to displace it.

You’re qualified to walk in the Promised Land, confront a stronghold that’s always been in your life and say, “Come down, in the name of Jesus.” You’re qualified to walk right up to a giant and say, “Die, in the name of Jesus. You don’t rule me.”

But you don’t qualify for that if you ain’t saved. So, get yourself saved and become part of God’s family. It takes time and communication to build a relationship and Father God is no exception. The more effort you put into it, the more promises you’ll see fulfilled.

Do you want the keys to your promise? Do you understand your identity and how it is connected to your destiny? You won’t find these things in comfortable places. Go after the heart of God. Give Him your time and attention and let salvation be your starting point – not your finish line.

FEAR NOT LITTLE CHILDREN

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

How My heart aches when you fail to understand the vastness of the inheritance I have for you. It is real. It is yours. All authority and power to crush the enemy are yours.

FEAR NOT LITTLE CHILDREN

I want to encourage you to go through Psalms 8. It’s all about the majestic side of God and, my friends, His indescribable majesty is something all of us need to tap into.

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” – Psalms 8:9

You know what? Each of us has this giant hole in our life that only God can fill. We have to recognize that and embrace His willingness to fill it!

It’s His joy, His willingness to be that for you! It’s His willingness to give you the Kingdom. Jesus says, “Fear not little children. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” It doesn’t wear Him out to be your Daddy. It makes Him happy.

Do you know Him as your Daddy? Do everything you can do to learn how to approach God in a relationship as His son or daughter, and not just a servant. Servants don’t know what the master is doing. They have no rights and no inheritance. In short, a servant is an orphan.

Jesus’ blood paid for you to be a joint heir – to share in His inheritance, eat at His table and have access to all the power and authority that He has. Are you a member of the family or a servant? Are you a beloved child or an orphan?

Let the majesty of Jesus overwhelm you. Let Him fill that empty space in your heart. Surrender those strongholds in your life and let your inheritance take root. It’s indescribable.

LOVE AND BE LOVED

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

You are My great masterpiece. I created you to reflect My love, My light and My abundant life to a lost and dying world. Accept these gifts. They increase only when you give them away.

LOVE AND BE LOVED

You are the beloved. That’s your role and place. Above everything else, you were made to be loved.

Some of you really suck at that. You have every reason in the world why God can’t love you. He commands you to love Him so you can accept the invitation for Him to love you. That’s your purpose. That’s where you belong.

Whatever issue you may have, God is not your issue. Let me say that again – God is not your issue. It’s not the Son who’s your issue, it’s not the Father or the Holy Spirit. We are the beloved.

When you understand that and begin to walk in that great love, that’s alignment. That’s positioning. That’s finding your place – the place He created for you before you were ever formed in the womb of your mother.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10

His whole plan and purpose is for you to walk in the position where you are the beloved. That’s His invitation to you. Get into alignment for your assignment. Love and be loved.

A ROCK AND A RIVER

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I bless pursuit! When you dive deeper and run faster after revelation of Me and My Kingdom, I will pour blessings out over your life. Stand fast in the waves and drink in the wisdom and understanding I have reserved for you.

A ROCK AND A RIVER

Today, I want to start off with this basic theory: when it comes to the Kingdom, you’re supposed to have theories and be a little bit weird. Because you and I are always searching for understanding and wisdom, our theories are not the devil.

When I start presenting my theory on time and timelines, there’s going to be people who say, “Well that’s just a theory. He can’t prove that. I have a different theory.”

Here’s what I say to that: so what? Listen, you don’t have to draw a line in the sand and say, “If your theory is not my theory then we have to be at war with each other.” As a matter of fact, within your walk, there should be two different parts of your understanding that develop your faith.

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. – 1 Peter 2:4-5

First, you and I are called living stones in the Temple of God. Then, in 1 Corinthians 12:12, we are called members of the Body of Christ. There’s a big difference between being a living stone in a temple of the Holy Spirit and being a member of the Spirit-filled body.

Being living stones in the Temple is a picture of being joined fitly together. It means there are some things we do not budge on. We go, “Nope. I’m sorry, but I’m not going to cross that line. That thing is precious to me and I’m not going to allow any devil from hell to come in and steal it from me.”

Being part of the body means you’re always growing, changing and connecting. There’s a flow to it because revelation comes in waves. This is all about being alive, striving and going after things. This is where theories are born.

You need both of these things to be an overcomer in the Kingdom, and time is a topic we’re going to tear apart so be prepared to be a rock and a river!

AS UNTO THE LORD

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Thank you for the cup of cold water when I was thirsty. I appreciated the smile you offered and the home you opened to Me. The food you gave Me brought hope and the shoes from your feet a path. I Am the least of these.

AS UNTO THE LORD

Judgment is a sobering topic, especially when it comes to the Bible and you realize that judgment is coming to all of us.

The Great White Throne Judgment is a test of holiness and there is only One who is holy and His name is Jesus. If you have put your hope in the Lord Jesus Christ, Jesus passed that test for you. He has put your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life as if you passed the test.

The second test, The Judgment Seat of Christ, is a test of how you served. This is where you are rewarded.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” – Hebrews 11:6

The understanding of being rewarded is faith-based because it’s the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. Amen. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3 that Jesus Christ is the One who laid the foundation and you’re building on top of that foundation He’s given you.

“But Pastor Troy, I don’t know anything about a foundation. What foundation?” Well, how about the fact that you’re saved? That’s the foundation of how you live the rest of your life. From there, you do works that introduce people to the Kingdom and that is what you get rewarded for – doing things for others as unto the Lord.

So, will your works die with you or are your works or are you serving in a way that doesn’t come from Texas but it comes from heaven? Serve with love and reflect the Father and you’ll find your rewards stored up for you in heaven.

THE TONE YOU SET

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Why do you desire praise? Because you are made in My image and I desire your praises. I deserve your praises. Sing to me with your actions, your words and your heart. I Am your God and you are My people.

THE TONE YOU SET

Music is powerful. While we know that God’s voice brought the universe into being, I would challenge that He didn’t so much speak it into existence as He sang it into existence. Kind of like at the end of The Lord of the Rings trilogy when Aragorn is crowned King and sings hope and life into Gondor and it’s people. Jesus is extravagant that way.

The devil knows how powerful music is. He used to sing the praises of God Almighty before He decided he wanted the power that came along with those hymns. That’s why he’s determined to own the music industry. He knows the power and influence of music and he’s going to use it keep people from ever knowing God. He’s doing a pretty good job at it too.

So, how do you and I compete with the former choir master of Heaven? With our lives.

If you’re redeemed, the song of your life needs to be all about redemption, People should experience Jesus’ redeeming power just by the tone you set when you walk in the room. As a drop-dead, sold-out Jesus freak, you need to set a standard. You’re not going to be a part of a bunch of worldly junk because you’ve overcome that by the blood of the Lamb and the power of your testimony.

“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear and will trust in the LORD.” – Psalms 40:3

“O sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.” – Psalm 98:1

“Sing to the LORD a new song, sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and those who dwell on them.” – Isaiah 42:10

“And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.” – Revelation 5:9

The tone you set should be all about God’s goodness. It should be all about hope and there being an answer – and Jesus is His name. Father God, Sir, we come to you right now and we declare Your goodness over our lives. Receive our praise!

WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING OF GOD?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am a God who never sleeps, I don’t take breaks. I am continuously working in and through you when you let Me. Even when you don’t understand My plan, I still have one. Trust Me.

DINNER AND A SHOW

There should be some babies in your spirit that you haven’t seen yet but you know you’re going to see because you’re “expecting.” It’s not about expecting the performance of God – that God has to jump through your hoops. It’s about expectancy born from the heart of God.

What’s real my friends is you’re not going to be able to map out His hand, but you can map out His heart. You’re not going to be able to figure out everything that God’s going to do and the timing of how He’s going to do it.

If you set up a theology based on all that, you’re going to be disappointed and then you’re going to be mad because you’ll think God failed to perform the way you expected He should.

Understand this: You don’t demand God perform for you. There were people in the Bible who did that – followed Jesus for dinner and a show – and he sent them packing.

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.  – John 6:53-54

Jesus offended a large portion of the people following Him and He did it on purpose. He told them that to continue following Him, they’d have to become cannibals! Why? Because their faith was only based on His performance, not His heart so they missed the true meaning of this prophetic word. John says in verse 66 that “many turned back and walked with Him no more.”

So, your expectancy is not based upon the performance of God. It’s based upon the heart of God. There are a lot of times I don’t know what God is going to do, but I know He’s going to do something awesome because I know Him. Many theological, philosophical people try to over-analyze this. It’s quite simple: God is good, satan is bad – all the time.

HERE’S EVEN BETTER NEWS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

You are a reflection of Me – of My generosity, My kindness, My compassion and My love. The family resemblance is clear on your face. You’ve got your Father’s heart.

HERE’S EVEN BETTER NEWS!

In case you missed it, the Bible says there will be a test on your life. It’s a test of holiness and you can never pass. Yup. No matter how hard you study, no matter how good a student you are, you cannot pass this test.

Before you are overcome with panic wondering why God has set you up to fail, know this: He’s set you up for an A+.

“But Pastor Troy. If I can’s pass but God has set me up for the top score, that doesn’t make any sense. You’ve lost your mind!” My friend, I am sober as a judge when I tell you the Lord Jesus Christ has given you the cheat sheet. Heck, the Lord Jesus Christ IS the cheat sheet!

If you give your heart to King Jesus, He has aced that test for you. The day you gave your heart to Him, He took your test, gave you His A+ score and marked that down in Heaven’s grade book. That’s called the Good News.

Here’s even better news: now you can serve others! When you stand before the Lord, you will be judged on how well you served not so Jesus can scold you or punish you, but so He can reward you for all the awesome ways you brought the Kingdom of Heaven to earth.

When this judgment comes, it will be a good day and not a bad day. He’s going to fit you with some crowns and you’ll see exactly what the King of Kings thinks of you. You’re His hands, His feet, His voice and He is proud of you.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. – Galatians 6:9

ARE YOU AN OPEN DOOR?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

My plan for you is so life-giving! I want to share it with you so you can fulfill every step of your destiny. Open the door to your dreams and desires and let My plan become manifest in your life. Invite Me in.

ARE YOU AN OPEN DOOR?

If you’re going to be a friend of God, the bride of Christ and the temple of the Holy Spirit, you’re going to have to get vulnerable. You’re going to have to get intimate with the Trinity of God and when you do, a kind of romance starts to form.

That comes from the Kingdom. If you’re going to get the secrets of God that catapult you from zero to hero – that define your identity and let you walk in the things the Lord has promised you – you need get into a secret place with Him.

You start conforming your life to Him. It’s being in the Word and in communication with Him so you know His character and His heart. That’s what you conform your own image to. And the measure that you conform your life to His determines the deepness of relationship with Him.

In short, the depth of your relationship with Him determines the depth of your intimacy with Him. The depth of your intimacy with Him determines the secrets that are revealed to you, and let me tell you – the Good Lord has some amazing secrets He wants to let you in on.

But God is also a gentleman. He only goes where He is invited and only enters a door that is open to Him. Are you an open door? If you are and you want to find your identity, purpose and destiny to make a great big impact on this world, you need to conform your life to Jesus’ heart.

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ – Jeremiah 33:3

This is how you know you’re in the deep end with King Jesus: He tells you to call to Him – to invite Him into your life. He promises He will answer you and tell you secrets you didn’t know before you got the guts to send that invitation.

So, what are you waiting for? Send that invitation, open the door and let God in on whatever area of your life you’ve been holding back. He’s got answers to your questions, I promise you that.
