ARE YOU MAKING TRACKS?
I declare in Jesus’ name, I walk by faith, not by sight. I am not looking for a sign. I am the sign for others to find Jesus.
ARE YOU MAKING TRACKS?In the arena of Promised Land living, you never see what God has given you until you are willing to walk in it first. In other words, you have to be able to walk in it before you get it.
Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory. – Deuteronomy 11:24
When God told Joshua to cross the flooded Jordan River and go into the Promised Land, he did something very different than when the Hebrews left Egypt to cross over into the wilderness. Who can forget about Moses and the crossing of the Red Sea?
But here at the gateway to the Promised Land, a different courage and trust was required as the key. The water didn’t part first like it did when they crossed the Red Sea. This was the Promised Land, and there was a new set of rules: they had to step into the water first. They had to start pursuing the Promised Land before the waters ever parted.
If you want upgrade, if you want blessing and more of Jesus, the way does not present itself until you move toward it. You have to step into it first.
…and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho. – Joshua 3:15-16
Want out of the wilderness? Wade into the waters of your Kingdom purpose!

THE AMERICAN DREAM
I declare in Jesus’ name, God blesses pursuit. I will pursue the Kingdom in a way that I can bless others. My reward is great!
THE AMERICAN DREAMOne of the most misunderstood ideas in American culture today is the “American Dream.” In his article “The Dying American Dream,” Stephen Stone wrote something that I think is worth reading and considering.
“The term is used loosely to mean just about anything from the acquisition of wealth, to home ownership, to moral license, to success in court against McDonald’s – all without appreciation for the original significance of the Dream. Because the American Dream is largely misunderstood, as well as taken for granted, it is in danger of disappearing altogether.”
The purpose of the United States constitution is not to guarantee a dream to anybody. It is to guarantee the opportunity for Americans to pursue their dream. There is a big kingdom principle in this.
You see, God blesses pursuit. He doesn’t bless you sitting on your blessed assurance knowing you’re saved, but not extending service or salvation to others.
So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain. – Ezekiel 33:31
It’s an easy trap to fall into – pursuing your own gain and asking God to bless your dream.
Is there anything you are pursuing for the Kingdom? Do you want to open your own business so you can be financially solvent and use your business to bless others? Are you going after a monster job so you can get out of debt and start going on mission trips? Are you going after the gift of prophesy or teaching so you can build others up?
Whatever you pursue for God’s Kingdom purpose, your Father smiles on. He likes to see you moving forward and pursuing things that glorify Him.
So instead of going after the American Dream, go after the Kingdom Dream. Figure out what floats your boat and do that for the glory and advancement of God’s Kingdom.
Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. – Psalm 34:14

BLESSED ARE THE FLEXIBLE
I declare in Jesus’ name I am flexible. When things don’t go my way I will bless others, and I will also be blessed. I turn chaos into a chorus of praise to Jesus. I have the shalom of the Lord and walk in the authority to break the spirit of chaos.
BLESSED ARE THE FLEXIBLEThe above words were a hard lesson for me to learn. I had been a pretty rigid guy with strong opinions until those words challenged me to evaluate my heart.
You see, God is looking for you to learn to roll with the punches, because life throws a lot of them, especially when you’re trying to advance the Kingdom. The devil is looking for an opportunity to sucker punch you away from bringing heaven to earth, so he messes with your plans.
The next time all hell breaks loose and your well-planned day, event, mission trip, Sunday School lesson or your outreach doesn’t go the way you planned, don’t throw a fit and quit! Don’t blame others or stomp around making angry excuses. Bless yourself and others by being flexible.
Look at the pros and cons to flexibility:
Pro: You can have peace in any situation.
Con: You give up control of that situation.
Pro: You remain an effective witness even though a situation didn’t go the way you planned it.
Con: You will look bad and be a poor witness if you throw a fit or get ugly.
Pro: You keep a good relationship with Godly people who do things well.
Con: You don’t get to chew somebody up or verbally slap them around.
Pro: You remain in the presence of the Holy Spirit and don’t run Him off through “corrupt communication.”
Con: Your feelings are not known to all present.
That list of cons haunted me when I first wrote them down. How many times I had been guilty! But that’s not me anymore. I know when things fall apart and don’t go as I had planned, something better will come out of it!
How about you? Could you use more peace and an effective witness through learning to roll with the punches?
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. – Ephesians 4:29-32

LESSONS FROM THE WILDERNESS
I declare in Jesus’ name that I submit to the divine tension that brings my destiny. What might seem like a problem is my answer. What sounds like silence is my opportunity to seek, speak or listen with my whole heart.
LESSONS FROM THE WILDERNESSThe lesson of the wilderness is that God protects those who stay close to Him no matter what.
When He brought the Hebrews out of Egypt, God stayed in front of the people as a cloud by day and a fire by night. They followed, never knowing where they were going. The only strategy they were allowed was that of day to day survival. This meant sticking close to the goodness of God because that’s where the provision, manna, was.
We all have to live and learn the wilderness lesson over and over again in different stages of life. However, let me tell you this: the Promised Land is different from the wilderness, where you follow God and survive by learning to trust Him.
The lesson of the Promised Land is that God blesses pursuit. Through God-given strategy and courage, the Hebrews took on walled cities, 31 kingdoms and warrior giants in the Promised Land. They followed their vision and God backed them up.
That’s how it works in your life as well. You learn how to trust God and live in His presence in the wilderness. Then, when you go after your vision for your destiny in the Promised Land, He backs you up. You don’t have to be afraid to pursue His will for your life.
So where are you? In the wilderness learning how to trust God for your provision? Or are you taking those first steps into your Promised Land? Maybe you’re already stomping around in your Promised Land taking on giants and claiming territory for the Kingdom. Whichever one is you, know that God is pleased.
Father God loves it when His kids move forward.
Who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end– Deuteronomy 8:16

LOOKIN’ FOR LOVE IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES
I declare in Jesus’ name I will praise God in my storms. The love of God is pouring into my life right now. I cannot control other people, but I will control how I respond. What is the storm compared to the one who walks on it?
LOOKIN’ FOR LOVE IN ALL THE WRONG PLACESThe next time you fall for Satan’s line that “nobody loves me” or you start to focus on the one or two people who refuse to care about you, think of Leah.
As beautiful as that name sounds in English, in Hebrew, it’s not so pretty. Her father, Laban, took one look at his cross-eyed daughter and named her “wild cow.” He and the others in their family treated her as such.
For every sideways glance and hurtful remark Leah received, her sister, Rachel, received ten praises for her beauty and grace. Laban was so convinced nobody would want to marry Leah, he conned a con man named Jacob into giving her his ring, despite his obvious love for Rachel.
When Jacob realized Leah was his lawfully wedded wife instead of the love of his life, Laban cut him a two-for-the-price-of-one deal. It didn’t work out well for any of them, especially Leah. Her entire life revolved around the fact that the people who should have loved her, didn’t.
Jacob and Rachel hated her for her intrusion into their marriage, even though it wasn’t her fault. Unfortunately, she became the “ex-wife” who never left. Leah hoped she could make her husband love her, but she was never more than a plaything for him to abuse. Good enough to sleep with, but not to treat right.
The Bible records that she gave birth to three sons and a daughter, hoping her gift to her husband would cause him to treat her like a real wife instead of a cheap prostitute. It didn’t. Finally, when her fourth son, Judah, was born, Leah had a revelation.
And she conceived again, and bore a son; and she said, “Now I will praise the Lord; therefore she called his name “Judah” and stopped bearing children. – Genesis 29:35
The name Judah means “praise.” You see, Leah stopped mourning over the lack of love she received from her husband. She started praising God for the love He showered on her with the blessing of five healthy children. She learned to ignore the scorn of her husband and sister to focus on someone bigger than them.
Is this you? Have you been rejected by someone who should love you but doesn’t? Focus on Jesus. He loves you most!

TROY’S MIRACLE AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT
I declare in Jesus’ name I trust Him for my miracle. He knows just what I need and when I need it. He has hidden me under His wing where the enemy cannot see me.
TROY’S MIRACLE AT ENTEBBE AIRPORTI’m not scared of a whole lot of things. Let’s see, I’m scared of heights, really loud noises, women with guns – you know, things that are logical. But the thought of being somewhere without access to food truly terrifies me. This is what I was dealing with on our first mission trip to Uganda, East Africa.
I had no idea the food would be so plentiful and good. All I knew was I had never seen a fat man from Uganda so I had better go prepared. And preparation meant mama. You see, my mom had always wanted to go to Africa, so I took her too. I figured between her and Leanna, there was no way I would go hungry.
Mom and I prepared for our two weeks in Uganda by loading two suitcases with beef jerky, tuna and cracker kits and SPAM – lots of SPAM. If we were going to suffer for Jesus, it would not be for lack of food.
So imagine my horror and surprise going through customs in Entebbe Airport – a room filled with armed guards, mostly women, and huge signs that said “IT IS A CRIME TO SMUGGLE ANY KIND OF MEAT INTO UGANDA PUNISHABLE BY IMPRISONMENT.”
“Excuse me?” I thought, panicking inside. We didn’t just have meat. We were practically representatives of Hormel with two cases of contraband SPAM!
My eyes darted around the room and I saw how the armed soldiers tolerated things in Uganda. They didn’t. They tore through each and every suitcase. My immediate thought was that I didn’t plan for my ministry in Uganda to be a prison ministry.
I whispered to mom and pointed to the sign. The blood drained from her face. It was a good time to “who-ka-ma-shie” and “shun-die.” I didn’t know it, but I was attracting the attention of a woman with an automatic weapon trained to spot people who are unusually nervous.
“Excuse me sir. Is there a problem?” said a deep female voice behind me.
I wanted to explain that we’d never been to Uganda and we didn’t know until right now that it is illegal to bring meat into the country. Instead, I opened my mouth and said, “Hi’dy!”
As soon as I said it, I knew that Johnson County, Texas had taken over. I just stood there stupidly and smiled.
“Hi’dy. What is Hi’dy?” she asked, gun uncomfortably close to my midsection.
I said, “You know, hi, how are you doing, good to see you – it’s short for howdy.”
“From where is your dialect?” she demanded.
Thinking of the suitcase of food I thought she asked, “What is your diet?” so I told her I eat just about anything.
“No, where are you from?” she said, impatiently.
“Oh, I’m from Texas and hi’dy is a common greeting there.”
All of a sudden, she lit up like a Christmas tree. “You are from Texas, where the Cowboys live?”
To cut to the chase, she and her best friend were college students and they had to write a paper on Texas. Instead of searching our suitcases, she escorted us out of customs and to her friend where we talked for nearly an hour in our most hick accents and told them all about Texas.
When we finally left and met our friends, they were shocked. It was a miracle! Nobody, and they said NOBODY, gets through Entebbe Airport without their bags being thoroughly ransacked. The Lord hid us from our enemies and we were in plain sight!
I believe he does that for all of His children. He hides us from our troubles and terrors. When the child molester comes to your neighborhood, let him not see your children. When the virus invades your work, let it not be able to find your lungs. When the thief looks for an easy mark, may you be invisible to him.
“For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.” – Psalms 27:5

BE AN OVERCOMER
I declare in the name of Jesus I am a selfless giver. I act in faith and the result is authority over obstacles of evil. I focus on God’s love for me. I am an overcomer who will bring many to the Kingdom.
BE AN OVERCOMERGoodness is a catalyst for incredible miracles, transformations and moves of God. Why? Because it always has selflessness attached to it. And what does selflessness have attached to it? The love of God, which brings grace to overcome to the party!
Listen to what the Bible says about the God-kind of love:
Love… bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all thing. Love never fails. – 1 Corinthians 13:7-8
Wow! God’s goodness is seen in believing, hoping and enduring, but overcoming – that’s just plain powerful!
The supernatural power to overcome obstacles comes from serving others selflessly, which is the opposite of our nature. We are naturally selfish, so serving others is an act of our will. See, the goodness of God that overcomes evil starts off as a willingness to serve, but ends up as a transformational juggernaut, aka: Heaven’s momentum.
Heaven’s momentum comes from faithfully serving without losing focus or falling out. Heaven’s authority is also part of faithful service.
But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. – Luke 22:26
In the kingdom, authority is reserved for servants. When people are selflessly serving others, God and His goodness show up and change everything. Is that you?

DRAMA QUEEN
I declare in the name of Jesus I will not answer when drama comes knocking. I have the heart of an overcomer. Stability and confidence trump demonic drama!
DRAMA QUEENA few years back, the pop culture world was rocked by the man formerly known as Bruce Jenner and his sexy pose on the front cover of Vanity Fair magazine.
The 65-year-old grandfather was glammed up as an ultra airbrushed beauty in women’s lingerie. Sporting perfect new breasts and a beautiful face that had been feminized by reconstructive surgery, Jenner showed off his new woman’s form with the words, “Call me Caitlyn” written across the cover.
If you have a prophetic eye to see, you can see how Jenner is a willing puppet of something he knows nothing about. Remember this: Bruce Jenner is not the enemy. He’s just a guy, or girl depending on your point of view, who is trying to find peace and happiness. He even said that this is way bigger than him. Well, he is right.
The spirit behind his actions is a dark, demonic movement that has done nothing but grow stronger and more twisted ever since. It is something not only destructive to human beings, but any civilized society where goodness abounds.
OK. Here’s where the prophetic comes in: the name Caitlyn, means “pure.” In this generation, what is shameful, will demand to be called “pure.” Drama will demand to be called “reality” – just look at the surge in “reality” TV that is not realistic at all!
You don’t have to hate Bruce Jenner. He has every right to manipulate his body however he wants to. However, you don’t have to call evil “good” either. God has a holy hatred for those who call His glory “shameful.”
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness. – Isaiah 5:20
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO SEPARATE GOOD FROM EVIL. ASK THE LORD FOR THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT SO YOU CAN WITHSTAND THE ONSLAUGHT OF GOOD BEING CALLED EVIL.

DEALING WITH DISAPPOINTMENT
I declare in the name of Jesus I bear the fruit of self-control. I have decided early in the day to fill my mind with God’s Word. I will guard my thoughts today and cast down all evil imaginations and high things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God.
DEALING WITH DISAPPOINTMENTEver found yourself throwing a fit or losing it when things you planned are not as successful as you had hoped? I have, and like me, you need to let the Word of God deal with you concerning how you deal with life’s disappointments.
Seriously pray for God to give you an anointing for mercy in stressful situations because losing it and bad mouthing others are surefire ways to let the devil have your witness.
When thoughts turn to anger, blame, excuses, slander (false witness), envy or infighting, we lose control. There is a reason the nine Fruit of the Spirit begins with love and ends with self-control. Our thoughts are to be loving and controlled so that ungodly mindsets will be disposed of.
Instead of losing your mind, stand! Make a clear and definitive stand in your thinking so you will have a mind that glorifies and belongs to the Lord in every way.
Remember, your brain has teeth. If you do not command, restrain and control it, it will chew your life – and your testimony of Christ – to pieces. You can forget about fighting the devil or overcoming the world until you get real about dealing with the three pounds of flesh between your ears.
It is time for you, as a Christ follower, to take back your God-given mental turf with clear strategies from the Word.
We are to “take every thought captive” and to “have the mind of Christ.” When ungodly thoughts creep in, kick them out in the name of Jesus. Purpose to think of something good, or do what I do, change the mental channel by singing praises.
I want to encourage you to not let yourself lose your mind when things don’t go the way you planned. The collateral damage of lost relationships and a compromised testimony are devastating to the Kingdom.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ… – 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
