The Mansion: Amy, Undone by Voirey Linger

The Mansion: Amy, Undone

Voirey Linger

Amy's the tough girl. The tomboy. She likes herself and that has always been the only thing that mattered to her. That doesn't seem to be enough for her husband, Eric. He's always trying to dress her up and make her something she's not… beautiful.

Eric sees something Amy doesn't. But before she can recognize her own beauty he knows she has to let go of her self-image and come undone.

Six Sentence Sunday

I am one whole day into my new project. It's unnamed, so it's going by "Dillon's book" for now. ;)

I sank to my knees before him. Without his glamour, his was a terrible sort of beauty.

His eyes were sterling and unforgiving, his skin ebony and flawless but for the scar that began on his forehead and crossed over his nose. The thick ridge bisected his right eyebrow and emerged at his temple before vanishing beneath his sleek, black hair. His wings were massive, and he wore them as a cloak about his shoulders. Something twitched at his feet, and I thought I saw…but it couldn't be.

Six Sentence Sunday

I'm sure most of y'all heard me squeeing last week over my new contract. I was so excited to hear Evermine had found a home, I might have wasted my week basking (in relief). But all that resting up was useful. I started thinking about Frost and decided to cut a character and subplot before sending it out to my cps and I feel much better about it. I think it's a stronger book for the changes.

I'm working on a series bible for the Daughter of Askara series, hammering out the outline for book three, and getting writing by Friday. Until then, this is the last time I'll use an excerpt from Frost. Hopefully, I'll have it submitted soon. It always feels good to have that weight off your mind, you know?

Desire for his flavor made my fingers curl against the urge to capture fistfuls of his dark hair and yank until our mouths fused and his air supplied my starving lungs. Tempting him to me, I let my mouth hover dangerously close to his until he closed the distance with a groan that resonated through me as his chest pressed to mine.

His hands slid from my hips and behind until he cupped me to him. I shivered when the hard length of him pressed into my stomach. He nibbled the column of my throat. "I want you."

That New Contract Smell!

I am so pleased to announce that Evermine, the sequel to Everlong, has been contracted by Samhain Publishing.

This is the second novel in the Daughters of Askara series, and is Emma and Harper's story. This book is very dear to me, because I love the two of them. They have been my favorite characters from page one, and I'm so excited to share their story with you all.

Next stop…cover art. :D

Six Sentence Sunday

It's Six Sunday's first week at her new home. Make sure you check out the new forum and join up to interact with your favorite Six Sunday authors.

I'm sharing another Six from Frost this week. I finished writing it a few days ago.

I'm letting it rest before editing. :)

My gaze slid past him, to the door, this time gauging my chance at escape. His laughter hung with icicles. "You've gotten your wish." He stalked me. "I'm agreeing to your new terms."

The bends of my knees hit the bed, and I would have fallen back if he hadn't caught me.

Six Sentence Sunday

This week is an independent effort while Six Sunday migrates to its new home.

Here we go, with another six from Frost.

Raw need etched his features, making him the most beautiful sight I'd ever seen. As I stared, his eyes opened and my heart tripped in its paces. I may be half in love with him already.

Coarse fingers tightened around the base of my neck. "Kiss me." Rhys guided me down to him.

Feel free to wander the familiar paths. I'm sure several of the usual Six Sunday participants are posting today. Catch up with us next week at our new digs–SixSunday.com.

Why does Twilight seem like a romance novel?

I loved this for several reasons. This sounds exactly like something Cait (my bff/cp) would say and how she would say it.

This is Sarah Wendell from Smart Bitches, Trashy Books, telling us why Twilight reads like a romance novel.
