Blurb: In the year 2081 our planet survived global warming of an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few hundred survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the twenty first century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene. This gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians. A new society is born.

Love is Love.. it knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions and boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi that he is matched with and eventually marries. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over two hundred years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.
*WARNING* Opposites is an Adult Dystopian majorly M/M series that contains explicit sexual content and relationships between gay, lesbian and straight couples.*

Want to know what happened that night in the library?
Cirian and Rian had a fight in the library and Rian ends up naked on the desk, on his back, at Cirian's mercy.

A romantic evening by the fire feeding his husband ice cream leads to a lot more than heavy petting for Aiyan and Kaden.
Want to know what was going on when those birds fled?
Travelling hundreds of miles, battling the rebels and then travelling back to House Gaeland will take it out of you. But when Tanis wants something, he takes it. Raven is about to be bent over a tree!
A Note from the Author: I've taken three scenes from Opposites that were cut short and elaborated on the shenanigans that ensued. I also focused more in the beginning on the relationship between Cirian and Rian, to give readers a chance to know them and their inner workings better. I hope you enjoy this free read set in my world of Opposites!
**Warning, The Library is a novella set in the same world as Opposites. It's an adult dystopian majorly M/M novel that includes consenting and explicit sexual relationships between gay, lesbian and straight couples**

Everyday Kink
Phew! Busy morning!
- Painted more of the house- Did a load of laundry- Cleaned the house - Set up a foot bath, lunch and tea for my Sir when she got home
I used to have tea made almost every day for when my Sir got home, when she was working different hours. I haven't had the time or energy to prepare for when she comes home for a while...probably a year or more. It's nice to be able to do a small and simple submissive act that makes my Sir happy.
Also had a really wild, intense play session last night, more energetic than we've been up for in some time. Lots of hair pulling, biting, scratching and spanking. It's looking like a good, kinky fall!

BDSMonday - Munches

It's BDSMon...day late. Sorry to do this two weeks in a row guys! I'll try to have my shit together for next week...we'll see how that goes!
Anyway, today's topic is munches. What they are, what you can (and probably cannot) expect from them, a few general rules (each group that hosts munches might have their own rules), and how to find one.
First of all, what is a munch? I suppose munches need some description nowadays, since they have become rare and shy of the Big People, as they call us. They are (or were) a little people, about half our height, and smaller than the bearded dwarves. Munches have no beards.
Oops, sorry, that's hobbits!
A munch is an informal gathering of kinky people, usually in a public place like a restaurant or coffee shop.
It's a great place to meet others and make connections in your local kinky community, or in another city if you're traveling. A munch is not a play party. Unless it's being held in a private place with no vanilla people, it's generally not a good idea to play or even wear fetish gear to a munch, unless it's something you would ordinarily wear or do in public. A munch isn't usually a good place to hook up or find a play partner to go home with.
I think I've covered most of the commonsense type rules, but they basically all come down to: Don't Freak Out The Normals. The other people in the restaurant or wherever the munch is being held don't want to hear about the size of your strap on, how many times a week your Daddy spanks you, or anything like that!
If you have questions about a munch in your area, make sure to contact the hosts! Most are friendly and helpful. If you're not sure if there are any specific rules, or you just want to 'know' someone before heading out to your first munch, definitely contact the host.
There are a few ways to find munches. If your local kinky group has their own website, you can just Google "City X kinky munches" or something like that. Fetlife is an excellent munch-finding resource. If there are any good, kink-friendly adult store in your city, they might be able to point you in the right direction.
If you're feeling apprehensive about going to your first munch--you're not alone. My wife and I came very close to hiding in the bathroom instead of going to our first one...but I'm really glad we did! If possible, go with a friend, whether a kinky friend or at least one who won't run screaming.

BDSMonday - How I Spent My Summer Kink-cation

(Note: The Ss are backwards because they were written by someone who was loopy from subspace)
It's BDSMonday! (Hush it was a long weekend so today is Monday...)
Today I want to know--what was your favourite kinky memory this summer, whether it was a scene you participated in or read about?
We had a pretty busy summer so my Sir and I didn't get to play much beyond a spanking here or there, but we did a branding on Sunday and it was soooooo good. As for reading, there are several scenes from Kay Berrisford's excellent Greenwood series that could apply :D
Hope everyone had a great summer, and that the weather stays nice for at least another month!

Eat My Brains!
I've kept a commonplace book since I was about thirteen, though, as you can imagine, it's now more like a box of commonplace books! (I learned the term 'commonplace book' from A Series of Unfortunate Events).
Recently it occurred to me that my random snippets would be useful for posting on Twitter and Facebook...so you can look forward to learning more about me, one random fact or quote at a time!

Depth
I had a certain high school English teacher who looked for hidden meanings and depths in everything we read in her class, and I don't have a problem with that.
Writing is art, and art is always symbolic, intentionally or not. It's also about connection, between author and reader, between the reader and their life experience.
What I do have a problem with is insistence that there is a (to borrow a BDSM term) Wun Twu Way to interpret any piece of art.
Sometimes a reader will see exactly what the author was trying convey. Sometimes they'll have a completely different experience, and both are okay! The interpretation is personal, and should be. Sharing your thoughts and feelings about a work is fine.
Putting words in an author's mouth (This is what the author is trying to say!) and/or insisting that your interpretation is the only correct one are both poor teaching skills and a sadly limiting world view. Much like, "A doctor who treats himself has a fool for a patient", a person who believes only their opinions are valid and won't allow other points of view is a fool.

BDSMonday - Character Interview With Liam From Night Out

It's BDSMonday!
I was tagged to do a character interview by Elyzabeth M. VaLey. When I signed up for it, I thought I would be posting an interview with one of her characters...but I was mistaken. Seeing as it's a Monday, I decided to hit two subs with one flogger (*heh*) and interview Liam from the kinky story I have out right now, Night Out. So, without further ado, it's my great pleasure to introduce...Liam!
(This interview is mildly spoiler-y if you haven't read Night Out)
Q: How long have you and Jason been together?
A: We've been dating for three years, and we moved in together about...nine months ago. We met through a mutual friend and really hit it off. I've never eaten so well in my life. I have no idea how I survived before I met him, how I didn't starve to death.
Q: When did you 'come out' to Jason as kinky?
A: I think it was after our second or third date. We were at his house. He'd cooked us dinner--pasta, I don't remember he called it, but it had red sauce and it was amazing--and we'd shared a bottle of wine. We definitely weren't drunk, but we weren't exactly sober either. He'd lit some candles. All the lights were off and we were sitting on his couch, listening to music. I don't remember what I said, but he playfully grabbed my wrist. And...well, I liked it. And it was pretty obvious that I liked it. So he grabbed my other wrist, and things...went from there! I never really had to say it out loud, we just figured it out together.
Q: Who makes most of the decisions for the two of you?
A: Definitely Jason! He's very particular and he likes things a certain way. Most of the time I'm not bothered by his systems, so it's not a source of conflict between us. If you mean in the bedroom...I'd say I'm slightly more of a bottom, both sexually and...kinkily? But we both switch.
Q: Were you interested in BDSM before you met Jason?
A: Yeah, I was. I hadn't felt comfortable enough with anyone I was dating before him to try anything really kinky, but I always feel completely safe with Jason. We haven't done anything really "hard core" and we're taking it slowly, but I've been able to tell him all of my fantasies, and he's told me all of his. We've tried a few of them. Some have been amazing, others...well, they're better as fantasies!
Q: What kinky activity did you want to try most?
A: I don't know if it counts, but the thought of fisting has always really turned me on. When I actually tried it, though, I found out it really wasn't my thing. I've always been curious about bondage, and that I like! I'm not sure I was quite ready for Jason's Valentine's surprise, and it's not something I would have asked for, but I can't deny that I had an amazing time.
Q: Where do you think he'll take you next year?
A: I have no idea. He works from home, so he has lots of time alone to think of all sorts of amazing, fiendish plans. It'll probably push my comfort zone a little, because that's how he is, but I trust him to come up with something mindblowing.

Top Ten Reasons the #CampusCravings MM Bundle Rocks!

I'm very pleased to help promote the Campus Cravings Bundle, with MM stories from many excellent authors. It releases tomorrow.
Top Ten Reasons to Check Out Campus Cravings:
1. College is a time of eye-opening exploration and experimentation, and there's just something about a Cathia University man...

An excerpt from The Eloquent Jock...by Cassandra Carr
Brendan’s mouth dropped open. “Want…me?”
“Why is that so hard to believe?” I am so screwed, and not in a good way. A headache began to take hold and he moved his hand to massage harder.
“Look at you,” Brendan waved a hand in Scott’s general direction. “You’re gorgeous, you’re successful, you’re sophisticated. I’m just some confused shmuck who’s never even kissed a guy.”
“Never?” I should not care about this. I need to stop. No good can come of this.
Brendan’s face bloomed red. “No. I’m not the type to walk into some gay bar and pick up a guy. Just the thought of it kinda makes me want to puke.”
“Not everyone is interested in that lifestyle.”
“Are you?” Brendan shook his head. “I’m sorry. I don’t have the right to ask you that. I know I’m making an ass of myself right now, I just don’t know what to do.”
“About what?” Scott dug himself deeper with every word, but he couldn’t stop.
Brendan clenched his fists on the desk, tapping his knuckles. Meanwhile, his right leg bounced and the poor kid looked as if he would self-combust from the red suffusing his face.
After a moment of charged silence, Brendan said, “So, you want me, but can’t have me.”
“Right.”
“Well, you’re the first guy I’ve ever wanted. I’ve known about my sexuality for a while now, but this is the first time I’ve met somebody who actually interested me beyond a casual attraction. And this sucks. I’m distracted; I can’t do my schoolwork; I’m making mistakes on the ice. I can’t have this.”
Scott leaned against the window and asked, “Then what do you want to do?”
Brendan licked his lips and Scott’s treacherous gaze followed the movement. “This.” Before Scott could even react, Brendan had grabbed him and kissed him, sloppily pushing his tongue into Scott’s mouth even as Scott tried to force his muddled brain to catch up with the program. He moaned as Brendan’s strong arms came around his waist, pulling their groins together. For a guy with no experience, the man revved Scott up pretty fucking fast. His dick pushed against Brendan’s sizable erection. Brendan moaned and the back of Scott’s head bounced off the glass behind him as Brendan attacked his mouth with even more vigor.
The pain radiating through his skull brought Scott out of his trance. He shoved Brendan away—shit, the guy had some strength for a man his size—and retreated to the corner of the office. Brendan stood between him and the door or he would’ve bolted that way.
“We can’t do this,” he managed to gasp out. His body had a very different opinion, but Scott ignored his baser needs. Someone had to take charge and stop this madness.
“You said you wanted me.”
Scott blew out a loud breath through his nose. “That doesn’t mean we should do anything about it. In fact, it would be a lot safer for both of us if we didn’t.”
“Because you’re a professor?”
“Well yes, that. And I’m, what, fifteen years older than you?”
“You’re saying I’m just some dumb kid who doesn’t know any better?” Brendan began to turn away, but then spun back. “You responded to me. That might’ve been my first kiss, but I know what happened. You liked it.”
Putting up a hand in a placating gesture, Scott said, “I’m not denying anything, but enjoying a kiss and letting it go on are two different things.”
“I get it.” Scott tried to go on, but Brendan stopped him. “No, I do. I get it. I’m sorry.” Before Scott could stop him, he’d grabbed his bag off the chair he’d dumped it onto earlier, yanked open the door, and slipped through it. As he slammed the door behind him, Scott slumped to the floor.
“That went well, you jackass,” he muttered.

Research
I've just recently started contacting people for research, rather than looking it up online or in a book.
So far, I've gotten really, really lucky. First, most of the people I've contacted have been university professors...who are just getting back to work after the summer. #UnintentionalTimingWin
Second, two of the people I've contacted have sent me EXACTLY what I need. Like, one of them said, oh, contact Professor Studies-Exactly-What-You're-Asking-About, who wrote the book Exactly What You're Looking For.
And the other (who I contacted partly because I remembered my mom had designed his website a few years ago and said how awesome he is. And that his area of study falls within one of the things I'm researching. And he is, in fact, awesome. I have a bit of a brain crush *squee*) Anyway, he sent me the link to a free PDF book of...Exactly What I Need.
This is ideal for me, because I tend to get so caught up in my research that I go off on a million side tangents aaaaaand...the story never gets finished. Getting direct, specific information without a lot of slogging around greatly increases the chances that I'll actually do the writing I'm researching for!
The third person I contacted told me I should contact the group of people I'm interested in directly, which makes good sense...but I'm shy!
And the fourth one...I thought I was emailing a library, but apparently it was a museum and they said I should email the library...which I thought I had!
