The Next Cyborg Story
Some reading buddies have asked about whose story will be releasing next.
Strike, Intrepid’s second-in-command, will have his own adventures in Strike Zone, releasing in February.
BUT before that release happens, we have Hacking Hazard, this year’s thank you i.e. FREE short story! Hacking Hazard will be ready for downloading in December and it features Hazard. We first met him in Over Torque, last year’s thank you short story.

Intrepid Encounter
Cyborg vs. Valkyrie
Blood will be spilled and hearts will be captured.
Intrepid and his crew on the Dauntless guard the border to the cyborg sector. The D Model cyborg captain has dedicated his lifespan to protecting their homeland. He’ll do anything to secure the space and keep his brethren safe.
That includes confronting a Valkyrie intent on vengeance.
The female warrior is beautiful, brave, strong…and Intrepid’s genetic match. She’s the one being he is fated to claim. Her voice causes his circuits to hum. Her touch produces a passion he struggles to control.
But if he has to stop her…permanently…to protect his kind, he will make that sacrifice.
Olrun has been tracking the whereabouts of a one-of-a-kind object. The stolen item is critical to the safety of her Valkyrie sisters, and she’ll do anything to retrieve it.
That includes waging war on a tall, broad-shouldered cyborg warrior sporting brilliant-blue eyes and grimly set lips.
The male might…just might…have battle skills matching her own. And that excites the immortal fighter. She craves his rough handling, his punishing embrace, his stern words.
But Olrun’s desire for the cyborg won’t distract her from achieving her goal. She will shield her fellow Valkyries from danger, even if that means ending Intrepid’s lifespan in the process.

Intrepid Encounter And Taking A Break From Responsibility
Intrepid, the hero of Intrepid Encounter, is the captain of a huge battle station. He has warriors reporting to him. And he has to be an example for them. He has many additional responsibilities.
Between you and me, (whispers) I think he likely views his Valkyrie’s mission as being a bit of a break from those responsibilities. He temporarily gives his captain role to Strike, his second-in-command, and he ventures out into the universe with his Olrun to serve vengeance on some baddies, a battle-like task he enjoys.
Everyone needs a vacation from their responsibilities. Even cyborgs. (grins)

Books You Might Wish To Reread
Intrepid Encounter releases on Tuesday (yay!). It can be read on its own but I know some of my reading buddies (big hugs) like to reread stories before a new release.
The previous stories in this part of the cyborg world, especially Grin And Bare Him, Raw Desires and Strive For Forever, are great stories to start with. They all mention the Valkyrie and will give you more insights into our heroine’s background.
We first met Intrepid, the hero, in Releasing Rage. Yes. (smiles) He has been waiting THAT long for his genetic match. And Choice, Rage and Joan’s eldest son, is an engineer (like his Mom!) on Intrepid’s battle station. Releasing Rage shows us how very special the relationship between Intrepid and Choice is.
Those four stories set the stage wonderfully for Intrepid Encounter!
