The Final Step

If were following along through each of my blogs last week, you know I'm hosting the Chance-To-Win-A-Copy-of-DANGEROUS ALTERATIONS Challenge for my readers. You also know that I asked a different question each day (for a total of 5 questions) and asked you to keep track of your answers, setting them aside until today.

If you did that, you're in good shape.

If you didn't, you mind want to start scrolling down to past posts.

Now, for those of you who think you've got all five answers, here's the f...

Question # 1

In preparation for the upcoming release of DANGEROUS ALTERATIONS (book 5 in the Southern Sewing Circle Mystery Series), I[image error] thought it might be fun to have a treasure hunt of sorts. This hunt  will take the form of a daily question with answers that can be found in the previous four books.

A question will be given every day this week (including today). Keep track of your own answers as you go. Then, come next Monday, I'll tell you where to send them. Then my part kicks in.  I'll go through the a...

And, of course, it got me thinking. To the schools I applied to (three), to the schools I got accepted to (three), and to the school I went to (Xavier University in Cincinnati).

A: This is an interesting question, Jill. One that probably would yield a different answer from every author asked. That said, I'm kind of excited to answer this.  As a former journalist (many years ago), I can have all the ideas in the world for my book but I can't start until I have the perfect opening. For the book...

Play Time

Over the Columbus Day weekend, we dragged the volleyball net out of the shed and set it up in preparation for the arrival of six 13-year-old girls who were coming to celebrate Dear Daughter #2′s birthday.

Yesterday, I found myself peeking out at that volleyball net again and again throughout the school day–wanting someone to come home so we could go outside and play. The day was gorgeous (after way too many rainy days the past few months) and the temperature perfect.

So, as the school day...

Your Choice

If you walk into a bookstore with no specific purchase in mind, what section do you tend to head for first?

Me? I tend to hover around women's fiction for a while, seeing if anything says: "BUY ME!"
