The Scent of Rain and Lightning
My dear friend and fellow blog reader, Lynn Cahoon, took a "Reading Tuesday" for me and boy, did she pick a powerhouse author to share with all of us.
The book: The Scent of Rain and Lightning by Nancy Pickard.
And now, Lynn's take:
First a disclaimer. My reading time is actually listening time as I commute over an hour to my day job. So this review is technically on the 'audio' book version of Ms. Pickard's novel.
The novel opens up in the POV of Jody Linder. We find out she's not in love...

Woo, and a HOO
I'm heading down to Lititz, PA for a talk/book signing with Dear Daughter #2 this evening. In addition to just being there together, I get to truly relax knowing I just turned in Book # 7 (the Christmas book). Woo-hoo!!!
And, for the next few weeks, I'll be catching up on all the other aspects of my life that tend to fall by the side when I'm on deadline (which I've been on for a continuous basis for the past 3 1/2 years). I'll be back in the saddle writing full-time after December 1st, but f...

die uberraschung
In the event you're perplexed by the title of today's blog (as I would have been had I not looked it up), I'll help you out…
It's German for "the surprise."
Now, while we're at it, let me give you something else in German: Ein Liebesbrief mit Folgen
What does that mean, you ask? Well, according to my friend, Joe, it means "A Love Letter with Consequences."
Which just so happens to be the German title of my 2010 RT Reviewer's Choice nominated Harlequin American, KAYLA'S DADDY (written under...
A Day In The Life…of Tori
I have an extra fun treat for all of you today.
Instead of "That's Life Wednesdays" being about me this week, I'm handing the reins over to, Tori Sinclair–the protagonist in my Southern Sewing Circle Mystery Series. After all, with yesterday's release of DANGEROUS ALTERATIONS (book 5), it seems as if it's only fair to let my star have her day.
So, come on over to Dru Ann Love's wonderful site and spend a little time with Tori.

Launch Day
It's here! It's here! [image error]
Woo Hoo!! Today's the day DANGEROUS ALTERATIONS (book # 5 in my Southern Sewing Circle Series) is released!!!
And while I know I'm not supposed to pick a favorite with my own books (they say it's like picking a favorite among your own children), DANGEROUS ALTERATIONS is mine (in this series) so far.
So if you pick up a copy…thank you! If you buy a copy for a friend…thank you! If you write a review…thank you! Every little bit helps in the success and longevity of a...

Happy Halloween
So, Mother Nature decided to get in on the whole "Trick or Treat" aspect of Halloween this year and served up a few not-so-nice tricks at my house.
That said, I'm in need of a few treats. Like hearing what was a) the best halloween costume you've ever seen (whether you wore it or not) and b) the weirdest/wildest costume you've ever seen…
Anyone?

With the Help of Renoir
Last week, while my daily challenge question was posting itself to this blog, I was off on a delayed honeymoon with My Special Guy. The weather was superb, the company spectacular, and memories-in-the-making around every corner.
Here's a few pictures I figured I'd share with all of you as it shows me crossing something off my personal "bucket list."
Yup, that's me…tummy to tummy with a real dolphin. His name is Renoir and he's nine years old. He's one of the world famous "cabo dolphins."
