How to Handle Conflict with Grace
Conflict in relationships can put a wedge between us, hindering the time we spend together. Generational gaps, different life stages, and distinct personalities are very real parts of us that influence how we see the world. It can be tough! To help us with this topic of conflict, we have Professor Starla Anderson joining us from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California.

Protein-Packed Homemade Granola Recipe
I feel so good about feeding this recipe to my family because all the ingredients are natural and organic. Sometimes granolas are full of processed sugars and corn syrups, but this one is just naturally sweet. I also add Primal Kitchen’s Collagen Peptides to get some protein action in there! My boys play so hard and are always on the move and so they need as much protein as possible haha.
Spiritual Fitness
Working out is a daily routine for me (when mom life allows it, that is, haha) and I strive to prioritize similar habits with my faith. But, I am not perfect at this and I often make mistakes. I’m sure you know how it goes; life gets so crazy and time with God can get pushed aside before you even realize it! I’ve learned that I have to set aside time to connect with God and dive into His word if I...

Navigating Friendship in Today’s World
To help us with this topic of connections and friendships, I invited best selling author and speaker, Kari Kampakis. Kari knows a thing or two about raising teen girls. She is the mother of four girls between the ages of 12 to 19. Her work has been featured on the Today Show, Huffington Post, Christian Parenting and more. Her recently released fourth book, More Than a Mom: How Prioritizing Your...

Chocolate Collagen Milk Shake Recipe
Summer is here and the boys and I are soaking it up! But, after a long day at the beach or spending time in the sun, we are usually craving a cool treat. This Chocolate Collagen Shake is one of the family favorites! I always try to find recipes that are both healthy and yummy and this shake does that perfectly. It’s made with wholesome, natural ingredients – no gross chemicals or processed sugar!

Oyster and Liver Pâté Recipe
However, liver and oysters have such distinct flavors that sometimes they can be hard to palate. We’ve been getting creative in the kitchen to find ways that we like to eat them! Adam had the idea to make a pâté with liver and oysters! (For those of you who are curious, a pâté is a meat paste that’s usually seasoned with wine, spices or ground up veggies.) Full disclosure – I was not sure if I’d...

My Approach to Holistic Nourishment
As I’ve hit my 30’s I’ve realized more and more that I need good energy (that’s not from coffee!) and good sleep. I want my body to be free from pain more than I want to be super fit. My goal is to be able to surf with my boys as they grow up and hopefully my grandchildren too (Lord willing! ) one day! You can have all the support in the world, but only you can know your own body.

Mango Banana Smoothie Recipe
They are also hands-down a family-favorite! They just fuel the family for all the adventure, fun and hard work we have each day. Smoothies are great when you need something quick and easy, like when you’re on the go to work or the beach, and they’re such a good dose of fresh fruit! Lately I’ve been craving fresh citrus so I’ve been adding it to everything! And the bananas are fresh from my yard...

The Power of Encouraging Words
At the beginning of the Hawaiian Retreat, the finale of my ‘Ohana Experience, the mother-daughter pairs arrived at a beautiful, quiet venue on the North Shore of Kauai. The atmosphere was filled with excitement! These women met together on zoom for 10 weeks during the mentorship part of the program, but this was the first time that they met in person. On this special night...

Favorite Bedtime Snack Recipe! Hot Carob Milk
I guess I put out a lot of energy throughout the day and I need to put a lot back in and nourish myself. So one of my routines that has helped with this is making warmed up milk before bed. This is just my favorite recipe right here! It’s like Hot Chocolate, but with a fun twist! My secret ingredient? Carob Powder! I love the flavor of it and it doesn’t have any caffeine! I also love to add in...
