Anthology Releases 10/20/09
Coming on Tuesday, October 20 to Ravenous Romance is Bedknobs and Beanstalks in which my short story Jack and the Peenstalk will be opening. This is a collection of erotic m/m stories based on fairy tales. There are many talented writers connected to this and I'm very excited to be included. Will update with a link when the anthology is released.

Now Released: The Night Caller
So as of now you can order it through Xlibiris. That's right, if you want Clancy Nacht's "The Night Caller" then you will have to get it here first, before it goes to Amazon and BN.
I'm really sort of shy about it, so I don't know what else to say just now. Press releases are out, advanced copies on their way as well. I'm planning on reading out a chapter or so for a dlable mp3. Might be able to convince a couple of Second Life book people to let me ramble on at them. We'll see. But this is...

Aggravating day
We all have them, those irritating days that just aren't ending. I'm stuck on a story I'm trying to write for a pub, watching the deadline looming. I'm looking at the first story I wrote for it, but decided it was a bit hardcore for their readers. Thing is? I really like it.
Looking at the lighter story I wrote, which is good for different reasons, but it's hard to get it up for a tropey romance story. But then, that's what sells, isn't it? I'm so sucky with romance. I mean, I can write...

Just thought I'd share
So I guess I should probably be embarrassed by my shady fanfic past, but you know, I learned a lot from it. About writing, about human nature, and a lot about myself. Anyway, every so often I get a little award from past good deeds and over the weekend (an Easter miracle?) I got a little notice in my inbox about a little prize here:
So, you know, I'm dorky and like writing about wizards. Add that to your ever-growing list of my quirks.
I really had a huge debate whether to ever say anything...
Amazon Fail
So evidently in order to celebrate Easter, Amazon has started rating gay lit books as porn? This does not bode well for my book release. I mean, you'd think buttsex would market itself, but it would seem that one or two people are very against it.
Woe is me.
LJ User tehdely seems to have an interesting theory on how this came about, which is interesting reading and perhaps plausible. I think mostly it just shows how fandom prepared me for the wank of real life.
There's also this interesting...

Fun Chats
So you've written your book, you've edited it a bazillion times, you have the whole thing memorized. You've designed/approved the cover and then the galleys. Then what?
Business.
Today we started talking about marketing opportunities, what's coming up, all of that. My book will be at a few book shows, which is great. There's the press release, the advance copies to the reviewers, trying to set me up with local radio, etc. You know, the selling part. As my day job is in advertising/marketing, I...
