New Pressure in the Pipes Excerpt

That's right, it's available a couple of hours early!

You can buy it right now at Noble Romance  if you'd like, or you could stay and read another excerpt and buy later!

Excerpt:

The hour had grown late and it had been an exciting day, a fact the Governor used as grounds to excuse himself for the night. The stern look he shot Conrad suggested he might also want to retire early.

Instead, Conrad took Ezhno by the arm and walked him outside and to Conrad's work shack. The weather was surprisingly...

Things happening tomorrow

You know, moreso than I often am. I'll be on Beth Wylde's group for a day sponsored by her and Noble Romance promoting Gay Pride and hawking some stuffs tomorrow, June 20. I'll be around most of the day CST. They're calling it a chat, but let me assure you, it's emails on the group. I found it confusing anyway. I've tried to go to a couple of these kinds of events all logged in on YIM and no one was anywhere.

Anyway, there are prizes and stuff and I'll be giving away a book or two and...

Japanese Suicide Club

"This just… it isn't as easy as I thought it would be."

"It's not meant to be easy, it's meant to be final."

"I know, I just thought… I guess I thought that there would be all of you here and I'd feel that… connection. I'd feel like I'd met someone who understood me"

"But we're just people, aren't we?"

"Yes."

"Oh, dry your eyes. We could, you know, make friends, talk about our feelings. We could buy matching shoes, get apartments not too far from one another. People in bars could know our names...

Lessons Learned

Over the weekend I've been poking around on Amazon. A few other author friends were talking about all of these things I should be doing to promote my work on there and so I decided to at least have a look. I feel a little weird about some of the system gaming that takes place there, but then, just making sure the tags applied to your story are accurate so people can actually find your work if they're looking for it didn't sound to shifty.

Anyway, there was a review on my first published novel ...

New Release: Dead End Job

Theo works day in and day out at the office, the lone live manager of the zombie crew. Then a new worker comes in, and Theo begins to suspect that the employee might actually be alive—because there's no way Theo could find himself irresistibly and frighteningly attracted to a zombie.

Now available on Dreamspinner Press for $1.49

This is another of those stories that I had sort of a hard time placing, but I persevered, just needing the right publisher and the right theme. It's actually a...

Smashwords, Stay, Experiments

The Smashwords experiment with my short story Stay has been going pretty well. It's interesting. People have been generous. I think, though, that some people feel uncomfortable not paying anything when you have a "pay as much as you want" sort of model. Well, and the story is, in a word, "creepy."

It's not really for everyone, I guess. Well, no, I know that it's not. But I like it and though it's not something that would be publishable by mainstream, there are a few other perverse souls who...

Free Read BDSM NSFW

David Armstrong

Just a little not to let you know that I've posted a NSFW BDSM story titled "All I Need" in my free reads area. I've done a little reorganizing again (because what's the fun without a little chaos?)

This allows for subnav so that's easier for me to deal with as far as nesting information and feeling like people can find it.

Excerpts are also free things you can read, but you have to pay for the whole thing.

The Free Reads are whole stories, but they're generally just short.

I'll...

WiP Excerpt from Pride and Justice

So, other authors share bits from their WiPs and I figured, "hey, I'm an author, maybe I should do that." So that's what I'm going to do. Rather than waiting until the end, when I've released it and then going back and posting this or that.

Anyway, the story is post-apocolyptic with zombies and the ragtag group of people left to deal with zombies who go bad. It's silly and growing ever sillier as it goes along, but I hope it will be entertaining. I have a lot of ideas, an outline...

Mercury's in retrograde

This is what I'm going to use as an excuse for my quietness or my terse replies. I'm just cranky. Not about anything in particular, just an over all crankiness. As I tend to do, I'm throwing myself into a project and politics and a co-writing project with a friend. These seem to take up the most time, but they're done finished.

It's just pushed back my queer punk and wizard/zombie story a bit.

And now I should sleep before I say something regrettable. Oh non-regrettable is that my m/m...
