Life After Juliet Cover Reveal

Life After Julietby Shannon Lee AlexanderRelease Date: July 5th 2016Entangled Teen
Summary:
Becca Hanson is a reader-a voracious reader. And with all those fictional friends, she never had time for real ones. Plus real ones come with uncontrollable quirks, like constantly filling a room with song, drawing on any available surface, and worst of all, dying. Real friends are more trouble than they're worth. Since her best-and only-real friend Charlotte's death six months before, Becca has returned to a life of books in order to distance herself from heartache and constant loneliness as her junior year at Sandstone High begins.
When a class project forces her into the Drama Club, she attracts the attention of not one, but TWO guys involved in the production, onstage and off. Meanwhile, she's still dealing with the grief of Charlotte's death--the fact that Charlie is away at MIT--and that she finally has to build a life for herself on her own terms. Ultimately she learns more about who she is, what she wants, how she feels--and how to find what she's looking for. (And while she isn't sure what comes next, she's pretty sure there'll be more kissing involved.)

Slumber Duology Blitz & Giveaway

by Christy Sloat
Release Date: March 16th 2015
Summary from Goodreads:
Not all princesses get their happily ever after...
They tell me I killed my boyfriend Phillip in cold blood. I stabbed him twenty one times. I’m only seventeen years old, and I am serving life in Spindle Ridge Asylum for the Criminally Insane.
I don’t remember killing him, so it’s really hard to believe I’m capable of murder. In fact I don’t remember anything before I came to Spindle Ridge, not even my boyfriend.
I can only grasp onto my realistic dreams while the madness of the asylum threatens to pull me under. I dream I’m a beautiful princess and there is an evil faerie named Maleficent who is bent on my destruction. The dreams are the closest thing I have to memories of my life, except they aren’t real.
I’m crazy. I’m not a princess.
They’re the mad illusions of an irrational teenage girl, right?
They’ve assigned me a new doctor, and she says I can trust her, and that she’ll help me see the truth of who I really am.
When she arrived she brought a new patient, Sawyer, who is everything Spindle Ridge isn’t: exciting, mysterious and beautiful. He promises he’s here to rescue me. Trusting either of them frightens me.
Could it be possible that my dreams are more than just the imaginings of a delusional girl? Could they be truth?

Summary from Goodreads:
“Happily ever after is hers for the taking.”
Once upon a time I found myself locked away in Spindle Ridge Asylum, punished for a murder I didn’t commit. It was all part of Maleficent’s evil plan. I didn’t remember who I was then … now I do. My name is Aurora, and I am the rightful queen of this realm. Armed with my memories, I’m ready to take charge of my kingdom once more. Happily ever after evades me, yet I long to claim it with my true love, Sawyer, beside me. That fairy tale ending seems impossible with him locked in the thralls of a sleeping curse. As much as I’d love to sit by his bedside and eagerly await a cure, I must first travel into the terrifying Dark Woods to stop Raven from stripping me of all that is rightfully mine. I am not only a queen, but a warrior who will fight for her kingdom. Some may die. Blood will be shed. But when this ending comes, I will settle for nothing less than a blissful ever after.

CHAPTER ONE
“I’m terrified of expulsion,” Ava hissed at Ethan, “but this isn’t negotiable. Go back if you’re scared.I never asked you to come.”
Ava turned her back, blinking to clear his cowed expression from her sight. She pusheddeeper into the dark of the West Woods, walking as quickly as she dared, pushing branches asidethat blocked the path as she went. The fountain waited out there, and it was getting late. Thesooner she undid her wish, the sooner everything could go back to the way it was supposed to be.
She could tell by the sound of footsteps that Ethan followed, though he seemed to bekeeping his distance. Gritting her teeth, she wished she’d brought her phone. The thin beam fromEthan’s flashlight, shining from behind, wasn’t strong enough to show the roots that lay ahead inher path. Turning toward him, she waited. Despite his teasing, she was really glad he was here.
She looked at him smiling awkwardly at her through the gloom as he approached. Her ownthin smile felt forced. They’d be missed by now. The New England wind found the holes in theweave of her sweater, sending a chill up her back.
I wish to undo the wish I made here on September 14th that made Courtney disappear.I wish to undo the wish I made here on September 14th that made Courtney disappear.
Ava fiddled with the coin in her sweater pocket, shivering against the cold. The fountain hadalready granted her one wish. She needed it to work again.
She watched as Ethan sidestepped the roots at his feet. His ball cap hid the coal-black shockof hair she’d grown used to. His dark eyes met hers from beneath the veil of his cap. Did he want tobelieve her story as much as she wanted him to?
Averting her eyes to watch her feet, she continued along the path. Ethan walked easilybeside her. Ava heard her own breath rise and fall. Ethan’s hand nearly brushed hers as theywalked, the narrow path pushing them together. Ava flexed her fingers, toward the heat of his hand. One slight move and she could clasp the security that he offered. Could it really be that simple?
“We’re almost there,” Ava announced, her voice breaking a little.
She cleared her throat and took a small step sideways, away from him on the path.
She noticed him withdraw, stuffing the hand she’d almost grabbed into his jeans pocket.Ava felt a sinking feeling. She couldn’t leave St. Augustus yet. There was so much sheneeded to explore.
She’d managed to lead Ethan right into the clearing. The beam from his flashlight shonebefore them in a wide arc.
Ava dropped the coin she’d been fiddling with, her hand hanging slack at her side. The coinsank into the long grass at her feet without making a sound. The clearing blurred in front of her. She felt Ethan move quickly, his warm arm suddenly pressed against her waist, keeping herfrom collapsing onto the ground.
Ava reeled. This was definitely the clearing where she’d made her wish.
So, where was the fountain?

Mia focuses her stories on the emotional growth of troubled men and their relationships, and she believes that sex has a place in a love story, but not until it is firmly established as a love story. As a teen, Mia filled spiral-bound notebooks with romantic tales of tortured heroes (most of whom happened to strongly resemble lead vocalists of 1980s big-hair bands) and stuffed them under her mattress for safekeeping. She is thankful to Dreamspinner Press for providing her with an alternate place to stash her stories.
Mia is proud of her involvement with the Human Rights Campaign and cheers for each and every victory made in the name of marital equality. Her only major regret: never having taken typing or computer class in school, destining her to a life consumed with two-fingered pecking and constant prayer to the Gods of Technology.
