More Reviewy Goodness
The things that keep me writing are many, and reviews are definitely one of them. When I'm writing I tend to get sucked in and just get words down on the page as quickly as I can, striving for an ending. It's easy to forget that (hopefully) somewhere down the line, somebody is going to be reading the words I'm putting down. And when I'm reminded I then keep my fingers tightly crossed that people are actually going to like what I've written. Just lately, though, it seems that I'm getting something right, which makes me very happy!
Another two reviews popped up last night, one for A Bit of Rough and one for the not-yet-released Loose Ends. And here you have them:
"Wonderfully written this is an Erotic Tardis taking you back to memories of what might have been, definitely one for those long dark teatimes of the soul when you crave some real lusty passion to escape with." 5 out of 5, SexyReads.co.uk
"If you like your erotica crammed with a wide variety of "try this at home" sexual positions, and with a healthy dollop of tattoos thrown in, then A Bit of Rough by Lucy Felthouse is a hot must have." Kay Jaybee
You can also see a post on fab new site Erotic Whispers which contains a teaser for Loose Ends. Yum!

Six Sentence Sunday – 17/7/11
Thanks to everyone that swings by and comments each week – it's very much appreciated (though remember the comment link is at the top of the post, I noticed some people commenting on the previous blog post by mistake). So, without further ado, I'll give you the next six sentences, following on directly from last week. Just in case you weren't here last week, this is from my new collection, The Best of Lucy Felthouse, which contains five erotic stories previously published in Xcite Books anthologies.
Perhaps I would become immune to the charm of the uniform after seeing it constantly for a couple of days? Only time would tell. Five minutes to be precise; which was the time it took for the train to pull in at the platform and for me to get off and look around for my lift. As I'd expected, he wasn't difficult to spot. As soon as I laid eyes on the six foot plus frame of Corporal Stokes, I knew I would never get bored of that uniform as long as I lived. Especially on him.

Yet More Praise for Bite With Height
At this rate, I'll never sleep, because I woke up to yet another review of Bite With Height this morning. They seem to be coming in thick and fast, but I'm certainly not complaining, especially as they're all good! I'm just astounded by all the lovely comments people are making about it and I'm going to make the most of it while it's happening!
So, without further ado, here's a snippet of the latest review, which comes from Dark Haven Book Reviews.
"…a delightful story that I highly recommend." 4.5 out of 5
Check out the review in its entirety here.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to do some more happy dancing. Oh, and if you want to see what all the fuss is about, there's a list of retailers here

Another Fab Review of Bite With Height!
Excellent news to wake up to this morning! Bite With Height was reviewed by Bitten by Paranormal Romance, and they scored it 4 out of 5! The only criticism was that it was too short, which I consider to be a compliment. Plus since I'm planning to write a sequel, possibly a series then it's all good!
Here's a snippet of the review:
"Very cute, sexy, short vampire story and humorous paranormal romance… Sex in the dome on the top of the Sacré-Coeur building in Paris — can it get any more romantic?"
You can see the entire review here.

This Morning's Sexy Delivery!
My postie unwittingly delivered this luscious parcel to my door this morning. Yes, my author copy of Dark Desires has finally arrived – and isn't it yum?! LOVE that cover.
This Xcite Books anthology contains my erotic werewolf story Animal Attraction, which excitingly is the first one in the book. It's also the first werewolf story I attempted, so I was pretty excited when Xcite picked it up! There's definitely more I could write about the characters in the story too, so you never know, there might be more.
I'm honoured to be nestling between the covers of this book with authors such as Sommer Marsden, Elizabeth Coldwell, Tabitha Rayne, Giselle Renarde and K D Grace, to name but a few.
So if the supernatural is your thing, then this is a fab book to add to your To Be Read list! Retailers here.

eBook Review: Far From Perfect by Portia Da Costa
Article first published as eBook Review: Far From Perfect by Portia Da Costa on Blogcritics.
I knew before picking up Far From Perfect that it wouldn't be the type of work I'm used to from this author. However, I love Portia Da Costa's stuff so wanted to read it anyway! And granted, it's much sweeter than some of her other books and stories, but that doesn't make it any less of a good read!
This book tells the tale of Anna Felgate. For as long as she can remember, she's been in love with Nick Lisitano. They've been family friends for many years and she's always had a crush on him. However, it had always been a one-sided thing, until the night Anna decided to seduce Nick in order to rid herself of her virginity. The circumstances weren't perfect, but Anna thought it best to have her first sexual encounter with a man she knew and trusted, and also one with a reputation as a fabulous lover. Unfortunately, though her plan worked to begin with and a fabulous night of sex was had, it totally messed up their friendship and four years later, it still hasn't been repaired.
Anna's still in love with Nick, but she knows she'll never have him as he's a millionaire playboy with no intention of settling down with anyone, let alone Anna. She's pretty much come to terms with the state of affairs, until he waltzes back into her life with an insane proposition that has her brain whirling. Add that to the reaction her body has to being close to him again, and poor Anna's in a mess.
Nick's proposal is engagement. His seriously ill father is experiencing a slow recovery and Nick believes that his 'engagement' to Anna – whom his father adores – will perk him up. It's a completely hare-brained plan, but Anna loves the man she's always thought of as an uncle, so goes along with it for the sake of him and his health. Of course, her own father is also delighted, so once the pair begin the charade, it's increasingly difficult not to go along with it.
Naturally, their fake engagement has consequences. Anna must split up with her perfectly nice but not at all right for her boyfriend, and Nick must actually spend some time with Anna for the outside world to believe their relationship is real. The trouble is, the more time the pair spend together, the more the sexual chemistry between them sparks and eventually it becomes too much to resist. And so follows a will-they-won't-they storyline of love, hate, betrayal, fear and trickery. The question is, can Anna and Nick get past all the problems and uncover what they really want? Only one way to find out…
Despite this being a more romantic tale than an erotic one, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I've always found Portia's writing style absorbing and enjoyable, and I whizzed through this tale in no time. I found Nick both lovable and infuriating at the same time and I laughed (in a good way) at some of the things he said and did and often wondered why Anna didn't just thump him!
Overall, this was a really fun read. The sex isn't explicit, but it's still damn hot (which is why I've still included in on this site) and I found myself rooting for the young couple throughout the book and it was sweet torture as Portia keeps the reader guessing and guessing until the last possible moment!
If you're looking for explicit erotica, this book isn't for you. But if you're in the mood for a sweet, yet tumultuous romantic read with spicy elements, then I'd definitely recommend Far From Perfect.

Six Sentence Sunday – 10/7/11
Here's something new for you all on this fine Sunday. My new collection, The Best of Lucy Felthouse, contains five erotic stories previously published in Xcite Books anthologies – all in one place! There's a bit of something for everyone here, and it's a bargain to boot! So, without further ado…
This is from Fantasy Assignment, the first story in the collection, about a female journalist who's been assigned to write an article about the Army.
After a speedy change of trains, I relaxed and let my thoughts wander for some time, until I heard the announcement that my station was the next one. I got myself ready, checked I had all my stuff together and perched on the edge of my seat. I was also aware that my daydreams had left me feeling more than a little horny, and as a consequence, my underwear was damp. I smiled to myself. I hadn't even set eyes on a squaddie yet and my mind was in the gutter. Heaven knows what I'd be like when I was surrounded by hard male bodies, and the smell of sweat and spunk.
