He snarled. "Just what do you think is going to happen? That he's going to let you tease him like you did all day and get away with a good night kiss? He's a damn player, an arms dealer, for Christ's sake. This isn't some college boy. He's going to expect to fuck you!" He took her by both of her shoulders, with his fingers digging into her flesh. He shook her, his voice rising, sounding slightly panicked. "How do you plan to get out of this? What the hell were you thinking?" "Jason, stop." "I'm not sure I'll be able to rescue you out there. It's not like I can just drop in unannounced." And he stopped suddenly, realization taking hold. He quieted and released his grip on her as if he'd been burned. "You...?" He turned away from her, unable to look at her as he choked out the rest of his thought. "You're prepared to go through with it, aren't you?" She glared at him, never losing eye contact. What was she planning, really? "What do I have to lose? An attractive man wants me, the one I'm supposed to be seducing. Well, it worked." He released her with a push. He sounded disgusted when he asked, "You were never planning to stop, were you?" His voice was low, almost a growl. He turned and sneered at her as if revolted by her very presence. "You'd go that far?" "If it would seal the deal. Yes. Wouldn't you?" She snapped back and lifted her chin in the air. "Haven't you?" He flinched. She could see the pain her answer caused him. He looked like he had been gut punched. His voice turned to a soft whisper. "This is different." She softened, realizing his predicament. "I'm not planning on going through with it. I'm not counting on it being necessary. I think I can maneuver my way through this. Well, I hope I can at least for tonight." "By God, I hope you're right, because I'm not sure I can leave you with him tonight. Not under the circumstances. Not after what I've been watching all day." She watched his jaw clench when she responded. "It's not up to you anymore. The plan's underway, and we'll have to play out our hands—win, lose, or draw. That's the deal." "He's not prepared to take no for an answer," Jason warned. "I understand. But what he finds intriguing about me is more than just your interest in me. I think he's fascinated that I can find him attractive and still control my sexual urges where he's concerned. My impulses are there, and I let him know that. I'm just not ready to go through with them like every other woman he encounters. My guess is not many women have ever resisted him." Jason lifted her chin and stared deep in her eyes. "Just make sure you're one of the ones who can." Guilt made her glance away. "Hell, you're attracted to him, aren't you?" "Oh, my God. What did you expect?" Emily snipped at him. "He's charming and sexy, and I'm playing this part. To be perfectly honest, I don't understand my feelings, and certainly not these mixed signals from you." Jason let out a long sigh. "This wasn't supposed to get so complicated." "No?" "I knew he'd have a passing interest in you because of your grandfather. I hoped he'd be interested enough to want to pursue you when he gets back in DC. I wasn't expecting this full-blown assault or your interest." "Dammit, I'm not interested. Attraction and interest are two separate things. Get real. You should know that better than anyone. Besides, how could you even suggest such a thing? He could have been involved with my father's death.""Sorry. I have to somehow get him to back off a little, for a while at least." "Well, you do what you have to, and I'll do what I have to. For now, I can only go with the cards I've been dealt." "Okay, try to play it a little cooler, at least until I figure out what our next move should be. Your father would kill me—" Emily's patience snapped, poking him in the chest, punctuating each word with her finger. "Don't bring up my father!" "Emily?" Jason held his breath and held her hands, as if afraid of what her answer would be. "Promise?" "I think you're wrong about playing it cooler." She lifted her brow. All he had to do was tell her he still had feelings for her. "If your reasons are all about my father, then it doesn't matter who I sleep with." All he had to say was don't do it. "Jesus! Emily, please!" "I don't know. You go back to watching again. If I need you, I'll let you know." If he thought sitting through Mosel's moves earlier was bad, he better gear himself up for the full-blown assault. If he really cared about her, tonight's surveillance would be agony for him. He may as well get used to this. If he didn't want her, someone else would, and from now on she would take what she wanted.

[image error] In honor of romance, and the newest Twilight Saga release, I'm starting with this...but then we get to the real eye candy...of releases...The movie Immortals hit it big this week and so did we with this hot looking cast.I guess movies have reduced their costume budgets. Loin clothes are all the rage and a few blankets are thrown in for good measure. Hey, I'm not complaining . . . Henry looks good in or out of the suit.

We write them less than perfect so they have something to overcome but really, how bad off is a guy who is over six feet tall, has broad shoulders, a rugged jaw, slim hips, and a swagger? How can we make him imperfect when everything about his screams perfection-duh-sexy perfection, too?

I'd try but I don't want to. I'd feel more sorry for the average Joe if we women weren't constantly having to deal with our self image up against TV and movie heroines, or runway models and playgirl bunnies. My conscience is clear every time my hero's biceps bulge or his square jaw clenches. I don't feel the least guilty if he's generously endowed and has the stamina of a lion. I want my romance hero to be solely focused on me. He doesn't even notice the Hooter's chick giving him the eye, he tosses the attractive attorney's business card with her home number hand written on the back. He only has eyes for me and my happiness, satisfaction, well-being, and pleasure...

Pleasure? Please the man is an artist with those hands, and that mouth. (fans self)  not only does it look edible he does things with his tongue that are illegal in most states. He's never too busy with football or poker to spend time with me and attend to my needs whenever and where ever. He cooks, looks cute in an apron and nothing else, knows what wine I prefer and how I like my feet rubbed.



Dream on ladies, this is why I write...romantic fantasy.

Tuesday Makeup for Monday

Three thousand years ago, six warriors of Atlantis pledged themselves to the Goddess of Sensuality, exchanging emotions for heightened senses and immortality in order to protect what remained of their lost world. Three went in search of their lost emotions and became unredeemable. The others maintained their honor with help from their leader, and they all became the Gods of Atlantis.



Mira fulfilled her responsibilities, denying herself pleasure for years, but she's escaped. On Santorini, she takes three men as lovers who help her make-up for lost time. When emotions start infiltrating the men's souls in her presence, they discover she's the one woman capable of returning their emotions. Now they must convince her to share their love and lives for all eternity. Will she believe their fantastic tale and trust in their love enough to make the final commitment? Will she accept immortality, their bond, and their love?



 

Chapter One





The flaming fuchsia sunset over the caldera enhanced the color of the crimson wine in Miranda Kelsy's crystal goblet. The fragrance she inhaled smelled fruity and full-bodied. Mmm, it tasted even better. As she sipped, she swirled the liquid around her mouth, savoring the flavor and the moment. Her tongue flicked across her lower lip to prevent a small drop of the delicious local vintage from escaping. When she looked up, extended her tongue, and unconsciously licked her lips again, this time the local vintage wasn't the cause. Another kind of local delicacy was.

 The man she contemplated across the veranda stared back at her from dark sultry eyes, so deep-set and dreamy, she could drown in their depths and probably die happy. The sun shimmered over his rich, caramel-colored skin, and she imagined tasting him would be something she could relish. Across the terrace, their gazes locked a moment too long to ignore the interest simmering between them.

[image error] The light gust of wind loosened a strand of his hair. He lifted a well-muscled arm, ran his fingers through his hair, and pushed aside the unruly wave. When that didn't work, he removed the leather band and shook his hair out of his face. She thought the shoulder-length mane enhanced his mystery and sensuality. The body-hugging black silk shirt he wore pulled across his chest as he tied back his long dark hair and her heart flipped. She couldn't help her sharp intake of breath when his powerful biceps flexed and he made eye contact.

The same breeze fluttered from his table to hers, creating a warm gentle sensation as it blew across her thin, flowered dress and caressed her pebbled nipples. Mysterious looking and darkly attractive, the man commanded her attention. Something about him inexplicably drew her to him. Conveying his power over her with nothing more than a glance, his interest switched from her eyes to her breasts, as if following the current of air.

Almost as if she couldn't help herself, she took another deep breath and encouraged him to look his fill. After all, he was the reason she was here, wasn't he? Or if not him in particular, she'd come here looking for at least someone like him. Hadn't she felt the compelling urge to come to this island to find a vibrant, sexy man who would suit her needs? This time she ensured she would be desired for herself as a woman, not for who she was or what she represented.

When he stood, she realized he appeared taller and more powerfully built than she first believed. Heavy muscles rippled across his broad chest when he reached to pick up the carafe of red wine on his table, and turned, carrying that and his glass toward her. For a large man, he moved with unusual grace. Miranda exhaled a long breath and kept her eyes focused on his instead of bolting like she'd like.

If she had a choice, she wouldn't lose her nerve. There were a million reasons not to pursue this fantasy, actually, a billion—several of them—counting the money. If she immediately reacted to her first moment of panic, she wouldn't take the time to consider all the reasons she should stay and take a shot at pleasure.

Fortunately, the courage to face her goals seemed to resurface the closer the man came. She wanted to let her hair down with a man who wasn't interested in her ability to influence his way up the international financial ladder. Usually on the way to the top, women wanted to be taken seriously for their minds. This week she wanted to be anonymous.

The man coming on to her actually wanted her for her body, not her mind or position, and that was exactly why she stayed. She almost laughed. How many women could make that statement?
